This will be this group’s last mount with a dismount on Friday. Over the last month the have done guard duty at four locations: Buckingham Palace, St. James Palace, Windsor Castle and The Tower of London. As a Canadian I’m proud of all this group has done representing Canada and The Canadian Army. As the father of one of The Guard I am proud of my son’s accomplishments and professionalism. It has been a pleasure watching him and his cohorts on these videos. Thanks very much for sharing this experience with us.
A long tradition of association between the British and Candian armed forces. In WW2 my father was a Sgt. with the Highland Light Infantry and he had several Canadian officers from a total of approx 600 plus who were attached to a number of regiments under the CANLOAN scheme. He fought alongside them in Normandy (Bayeaux, Caan, Falaise), the regiment suffering a very high casualty rate.
By using trumpets instead of cornets, this Canadian Artillery Band has a completely different sound than the British Bands. By the way, a wonderful march "10 Provinces"! (and a nice vid, ME)!

@@militaryevents107 Thank You We will.
Am with Family 5 also MB
I’m of a generation that doesn’t regard Canadians as foreigners. Glad they were here to guard their Queen.
The march they played as they marched out of Wellington Barracks is called “10 Provinces.” It has many traditional Canadian melodies within it.
Very good march!
I played that March many times in the past with the ceremonial band of the Waterloo region police band in Ontario Canada 👍🏻👍🏻🇨🇦

Really does… cornets are better in my opinion 😉
Proper marching, not slouching along like their continental neighbours!
