Very nice! Great to see the Canadians with us. They are always very welcome.
The marches played were,
1) Wellington
2) Arromanches
3) Imperial Echoes
4) British Grenadiers
5) Westward Winds
6) Arnhem
7) Milanollo
Love the lady rocking along with the candiands eh
I lived in Windsor a few years ago and used quite often to watch the various British Army bands accompany the guard changes. I had previously served in the RAF for 22 years and military music always stirs me. I've never before seen any non-British military providing the guard and band so the Royal Canadian Artillery here was especially interesting and enjoyable: a first class band and contingent.
Is bringing in parts of the commonwealth forces becoming a new tradition ?
This happens quite often with Canada
@@highpath4776 No. It's been going on for over 100 years. Just not every day or year.
Very proud of our Canadian soldiers wonderful to see thank you for the video !
Thank you @Peter Crosby for watching 🙏☺️
I am gutted to have missed this. We are from Ottawa and we were visiting Windsor the day before. Brilliant performance! You make us proud to be Canadian. Support our Troops! Soldier On! 🇨🇦
Brilliant video Lenny, thanks so much.
Thank you @Dave Rothwell for watching and lovely comment 🙏😊
When you listen to music like this it reminds me of wot great Britain was about please play this music on
Thank you for watching 🙏☺️🙏
Nice to see Canada represented in my old stomping grounds. I misspent much of my youth in Windsor back in the 1960's . I always enjoy my visits back. Thank you for your videos.

Thank you for watching ☺️
Yes! Love all of these videos! My nephew is one of the Canadian soldiers ❤️🇨🇦 🇬🇧
@@tinascellostudio413 Thank you. I try do the best. Greetings from Windsor England 🏴
At first I thought the Prussians had taken over guard duty! Lol. Great video. Thanks for posting.
Thank you @Matthew Bigelow 👍🙏
1:05 i love how American sounding that drum break is
Love the Canadian artillery band playing and standing duty guard for our 🇨🇦Queen. But my bone to pick with them is not enough Canadian marches to March.I expected them to play Maple 🍁 leaf for ever ,Canada on the March or 10 provinces March. 😉😎
I stand correct from them not playing Canadian marches. From another youtuber I heard them play Canada on the March.and Ten Province March. Sorry 😞 my mistake. Once again thanks Canadian Artillery band and troops for doing your duty in Great Britain 🇬🇧
Thats because Canadian Regiments are (this may not be the correct term) paired up with British Regiments so their marches are the same by tradition.
Fun fact: the march used on the dismount out of the castle is a Canadian march entitled Westward Winds, composed in 2018, and is the official march of the 3rd Canadian Division Support Group!
Very cool. I haven't seen Canadian Gunners on parade like that before.
The uniform is awesome!
(I guess that they hide out somewhere in Manitoba where the rest of us never see them.)
I do.
@@normanwells2755 Watch out for those mosquitos!
Brava tutti! Looking and sounding fantastic!
Thank you 🙏
nice to see some proper weapons on parade.
Meaning? Sorry. I'm curious...
A real treat to see a live recording of my little brother!
Oh great 👍 👏👏and thank you for watching 🙏
I wonder if this is the same band that I had the pleasure of playing alongside in Korea in 2000? It was held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Korean war and there was a band from each country that participated in the conflict except for a North Korean band. I was in the South African Air Force band and other commonwealth bands were the Royal Engeneer band, the New Zealand Navy Band and the Australian Air Force Band. I was amazed at all the countries who fought there. The Turkish army had a Janissary band! Chain mail and shawl-like instruments. There were bands from Greece, Columbia, China, the Philippines (they were having problems at home so we used to watch them every morning doing pt in full combat gear with webbing fin the hotel parking lot!). All the commonwealth bands would gather in on of the pubs whenever we weren't doing a gig and the Russian Navy Band would be there springing drinks off of us as they would only get paid every 6 months or so. Best 10 days of my life but the distances to travel for a parade was hellish.
They appear to wear uniforms derived from those of the 8th King's Royal Irish Hussars. Your thoughts?
Well, "lol," old habits are hard to break, eh! At 3:42 making a right wheel up the right / wrong side of the road. Thanks for all your videos Lenny. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, from London, Ontario, CANADA.
My pleasure Phil Wilson. Merry Christmas 🤶 🎄🎊
Very enjoyable record of the Guard Changing at Windsor it's nice to see someone else is recording this event I have been following Cynocephali for quite sometime I will subscribe to you as well thank you👍
Thank you @David Johnson for lovely comment and subscribed. I try do the best 🙏
You do such an excellent job filming this, I salute you.
Great sound.
Thank you 🙏
Glad that the Canadians march and play like the British and not like the Americans
Why would our royal regiments sound American?
We literally are British lol
Mom taught us well! lol
fantastic
Thank you 🙏
Thank you Lucasloud 👍🙏
I don`t know if anybody noticed how many bandsmen were wearing spectacles. My dad told me when I was an adolescent, that if I didn`t stop doing it, I`d either go mad or blind. Well, I didn`t stop and like most of the bandsmen, I now wear spectacles - I wonder what they`ve been up to ?
What a lovely march coming out of castle on the return - title please
Westward Winds, march of the 3rd Canadian Division Support Group (3CDSG)
@@13Jbone Thank you so much 🙏
@clive hughes. Thank you 🙏 😊
@@13Jbone thank you - that really is a good tuneful march which I have never heard before and it makes a nice change
Excellent.
Thank you 🙏
Very good turnout.realy stick.
Thank you 🙏 @Robin Mclaren
Unfortunately, the Arnhem March was only played halfway. That's my favorite ...
But despite all that it was a nice birthday serenade for me. 😂
What is the tune's name at 12:10 ? Great performance.
What rifle do the royal Canadian artillery use
C7
They did very well .... but you could tell they were not Btitish and thats because of the beards .... don't know if it's a tradition in that regiment but naaaaa
Anybody have a play list of the marches? These are awesome.
Thank you 🙏 ☺️
fumblerooskie The marches played were,
1) Wellington
2) Arromanches
3) Imperial Echoes
4) British Grenadiers
5) Westward Winds
6) Arnhem
7) Milanollo
@@delvinrodriguez3341 Thank you for the information 🙏😊🙏
@@delvinrodriguez3341 Wow 🤩 Thank you so much 🙏🙏
They carry their rifles deferently
Ik it’s weird. Coming from a Canadian
We carry them the same way the Brits did the SLR. There was no slope arms in the British manual from its introduction until the SA80. I believe the slope is basically impossible or at least very impractical with a c7 because of the Optic so it never came back in Canada even after we moved on from the FN C-1/SLR. Lee-Enfield drill was the last to use the slope in Canada AFAIK.
Thank you, Lenny.
My pleasure 😊
I thought the D/M was trying to shake the head off the Mace.
This is probably a stupid question, but I'm from the U.S., and wouldn't know. But do some the Royal Mounties take part in this or are they just Police? Didn't know if they were apart of the Military or not. Saw a group riding horses, but couldn't make them out.
These are Canadians from The 1st Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery. No Mounties are in the video.
@@hockeyrulz100 thanks for the answer. I'm learning a little more about England than they taught us back in school. And I know a very very small amount about Canada, but am wanting to learn more about it as well. Mind you, in our schools we are taught about other countries, but this was over 30 years ago, lol
Actually the Mounties do take part.. in 2012
They have appeared at the queens jubilees
Bro that drum major is tall asf
That would be WO (Warrant Officer) Parent, He is at least 6'6" tall, at least from what i can assume from meeting him, Awesome guy though.
Ok I thought I'm lost. This is still in UK right?
Yes In Windsor UK 🇬🇧
@Lenny Windsor thanks Lenny. I think I like your channel. Stay safe and healthy.
@@pollyannapositive9192 My pleasure dear 🤗
I try my best. Take care and stay safe. Greetings from Windsor UK 🇬🇧 🤗
@Lenny Windsor you are welcome. Greetings from San Antonio Texas USA.
Sad that armed police are required.
Since the IRA killed soldiers on parade in the 70s they've had to have police protection.
@@DaChaGee bloody terrorists why don't they come out fight like men.
very sad that parade has to be preceded by two armed police with assault rifles.
