Thank you for being informative about minimum wage. It is quite important to understand that some starting jobs do not pay enough to cover expensess presented in your video about cost of living in Poland. As a minimum wage worker it is better to rent a room or share an apartment with friends. Otherwise it might not be feasible from financial point of view. On the brightside, there are starting jobs which pay more than enough (e.g. IT) to be able to afford living on your own in an apartment.

Thanks for an amazing overview on working structure , pattern and facilities. I have one request can you cover the child primary education cost both public and private.
Thanks, Amit! As for the costs: the public schools in Poland are free of charge. Also schoolbooks in primary school are for free. Of course there are always some costs involved (stationery products, lunch if at school, etc). Private education prices are very different, depending on city and school, and the range is from 600-700 to even 3000+ zł. It's very individual question. I received a visa for a job in Poland but the job is 4-5 hrs a day from Mon-Fri. I was wondering if I could apply for another job (an additional work permit) to work in the mornings?
Hello Naomi! We've been trying to find information but most examples describe cases of changing employer along your stay (not having two different at the same time). Anyway it seems like working at certain company without a work permit issued for this particular company and position is illegal. This is what we also found: "When you work on the basis of your employer’s declaration, and wish to work in another company, you should also have a declaration of your new employer, registered by him in a county labour office". The best idea is to ask other expats in Poland so they can help. Here you can join our grup and ask the community: facebook.com/groups/293890911818770 Regards and good luck!

I have a question please, my wife will give birth in November, however her work permit is ready and she will be signing the contract with Polish company in December, does she have a right for maternity and what is the process to follow
Hi, Raouf! The maternity leave in Poland takes 20 weeks. The maternity pension depends on the salary from last 12 months (before birth). We really don't know how about signing agreement right after giving birth - if it's even possible. The best way is to ask the employer. Mam u said 30000 zloty is tax free And also u said that minimum gross salary 3010 zloty and net salary 2209 so if i earn 3010 per month Than 3010*12=36120 zloty per year So i have to paid tax only on 6120 zloty ...? Please tell me And if my monthly salary is 3010 than how much i take in hand salary 2209 zloty or more...?
Hi Faizan! As for your question, at minimum wage you don't pay tax at all. When discounting your contribution as an employee (old-age pension contribution, sickness insurance), the basis for taxation is lover than the tax free amount. Right now, if earning 3010 gross, you'll get 2.389,56 net. Check this online calculator to understand all the costs: accace.com/payroll-calculator-poland/

Hello mam i have a valid visa of poland and my work permit has been cancelled by my employer... Currently I am in India .. Can i still go Poland by this visa
Hi There! If it's a work visa with work permit provided, it's valid as long as your work permit. Please make sure to check carefully as we're afraid it may not be valid without work permit anymore.
Hi @Bishal Biswas! The minimum monthly wage is 3010 PLN (gross), at minimum wage you don't pay tax at all. When discounting your contribution as an employee (old-age pension contribution, sickness insurance), the basis for taxation is lover than the tax free amount - 30 000 PLN. This means that if you get 3000 PLN you don't pay income tax :)
Hello Samarth! Did you see our video about costs of living in Poland (ruclips.net/video/DpwyptJsrH8/видео.html). We provide there an average calculation of monthly expenses for one person. 17000 zloty is a good sum, but if this will be enough, we can't tell you. Monthly spendings are very individual and depends on many factors: number of people in the household, type and cost of flat, type of food you eat, means of transport you use. You'd have to calculate this for your household yourself concerning provided costs. Cheers!
Thanks for this great work. Actually everything is so clear.my question is, after 8 hrs of work, do employees have an option for over time!! And if yes, how is it paid.!!
Hi there! It depends on the company/your employer. They do may have extra hours' possibility, but it's very individual. Also, the additional salary for this depends - if it's weekend, working day etc.
Apart from the tax rates you mentioned of 0, 17 & 32%, is there anything else to deduct from the salary? Like social security pay? And how much is the extra cost to the employer, on top of the gross salary? Thanks!
Hello Salva! The difference in your gross and net salary includes income tax + National Health Fund contributions + health insurance. On top of that there are additional premiums that the employer pays for you - we talk about the difference in all these values from the minute 4:55. You can check them in detail in this link: accace.com/payroll-calculator-poland/ Hope this helps!

Dear Sonparii. This seems to be very personal situation. Everything depends on the university, classes or credits you missed, exams to pass. The only way is to contact your Polish university and ask. Hope you'll catch up easily!
It depends on the city/type of construction/position. As for 2021 data, the medium wage in construction was 6000 gross. This year may be worse as many constructions stopped for economic reasons.
Hi there. The channel is well produced with some good attention to details. Okay son that’s enough of waffling… so you saying that an average a monthly wage circulates around €600 if you are a labourer and around €1200 when you got a degree and you are obviously lucky enough to work in a corporate environment. Well… looking at the current prices in EU that is shockingly low . It looks like living in any other Western European country you would make you a minimum three times better off on average . My advice to all none EU citizens would be to post pone your plans of coming to Poland . If you able to obtain a visa to get to one of the western countries in Europe then you should do it instead. No disrespect … Poland is lovely country to visit or invest your money in especially due to a low taxes and a cheap labour. It’s definitely not a country if you are not a properly skilled person or if you do not have a higher education ( which probably wouldn’t be recognised by a local government bodies anyway).Let’s summarise it . Obviously Poland is financially not attractive for any other EU citizens but If you are a from a developing world and for some reasons you still want to come and live in Poland then IT industry is probably the way to go . Your qualifications will be recognised and your salary might get around €1200 per calendar month . There’s one more caveat … this is not an “English ecosystem country” people do not speak English there . I am not talking about some woke ass teenagers living an online life I am talking about a regular citizens and every day life .I used to live in Poland for sone time and I do know what I am talking about . Peace and out friends .
Thanks for your insight! Indeed, our average wage cannot compare to Western countries, but also cost of accommodation or services is lower. Anyway, our economy grows and the new technologies sector is in permanent need for skilled professionals, so that's a nice business opportunity to some people, exactly as you said :) Cheers!

I was born in Wroclaw and moved to Germany when I was 7 years old, part of my family still lilves in Wroclaw and I am planning to come back, my polish isn't the best anymore, I am a software developer, do you think I could come back or would it be a hard move? I mean, I can read and talk in polish but writing in polish is very hard for me.
We totally think you can (and should) come back! There are a lot of skilled employees performing work in Poland without knowing Polish, especially in IT sector. Check our last video to know more about language and communication in Poland.

I like the country but…15000pln is like 3000 and that’s before taxes. Coming from America and Germany that’s not enough to even pay rent
hi Antonio! 15k PLN is definitely enough to pay rent in Poland. Of course, it depends on the city you choose.
Thanks for this heads up…really appreciate it.
However, I need a small favour from you. I’ve been offered 21000 zlote per month gross salary and I’ll be moving to Poland along my wife and little daughter. Could you calculate my net salary given all this information. I tried that link which you have shared in the video description but I feel that it is not calculating correct when 32% tax rate needs to be levied. Your response and help will be appreciated. Thanks!
Hello! Unfortunately, it's very hard to say how much exactly it will be. From you salary it will be deducted the income tax, old-age pension contribution, sickness insurance. It also depend on where you live. The calculator that we provide should give you the information. And if you're not sure that the value in the calculator is correct, you can always confirm that with your employer :)
Hi Navdeep, did you moved to poland with this salary? I have also got an offer of 25k zlote what should I do

You can also ask the community, here's the link to our group to ask the question: facebook.com/groups/293890911818770 :)

Check our very first videos where we talk about formal aspects and we mention work permits.
Very well decribe
But i have one doubt can u please tell me ?
Mam u said 30000 zloty is tax free
And also u said that minimum gross salary 3010 zloty and net salary 2209 so if i earn 3010 per month
Than 3010*12=36120 zloty per year
So i have to paid tax only on 6120 zloty ...? Please tell me
And if my monthly salary is 3010 than how much i take in hand salary
2209 zloty or more...?

17000 zloty is good salary to move in Wrocław with family?

How good is construction work in Poland?
Do you employ africans
Of course, there are Africans working in Poland :)
