  • This is just a quick test and video of the Browning Buckmark and why you should test your gun. Not all barrels are the same. Not all guns like the same ammo. This video shows the new Buckmark grip insert and a loner Buckmark along with A Simply Rugged Holster.
What ammo does this gun like? What group size at 15, 25 or 50 yard look like. We did not test all ammo, but we did a fast test of various ammo. This was to give us a fast reasonable expectation of what that gun may do. Only 15-yard target shown this time.
In this video we show the gun and ammo repeatability. You can also do this test. Remember we don't sell videos neither do we make anything on our videos. We only sell American made rests.
We start with a range ammo and go from there. We did this test months ago sorry it took so long to post.
Watch video for weight and or ammo specifics or best ammo. More comprehensive test are to come So, stay tuned for more info and more testing.
Is it me the gun or the ammo? Have you ever shot at a soda can at 15 or 25 yards and say? I can't believe I missed that. Can your pistol even hold under 1" at 15 yards? If it can't, it may increase your chances of missing.
Accuracy matters. Sure, many guns can do an occasional 1" or sub 1" group but can they do it repeatable. Some guns may have 3 or 4 rounds that group good once in a awhile but not all 8 rounds. And are they Repeatable 8 round? Again, and again. What ammo does the gun like? Is it me the gun or the ammo?
We are here to find out. We do not cherry pick the rounds or groups this is real true results in our videos in real environment. This is why you may miss that soda can. If you are not testing, you are guessing as they say. Please get a Ransom Rest do the test yourself.

As a long time small game and groundhog hunter I always had the best combo of accuracy and killing power with the CCI Mini Mag HP's out of my scoped Ruger MK1 or any of my rifles at 100 yds and under.

If you shoot the CCI standard velocity, you’ll be amazed even further!

I have one of these incredible pistols the Browning Buckmark Challenger II with the Browning Buckmark holster. The weapon is quite accurate and fun to shoot. I have the exact same grips with the Browning medallion inserted into the wood!!! I understand these wooden grips were a limited edition on the Challenger II...The only thing I don't like about this weapon is the magazine release at the bottom of the grip...

I would say that the pistol might have lacked lubrication. Hence, the failure to feed/sluggish slide.

Very good job, but why do you never use Eley or RWS or Lapua, which are much more regular and accurate ?

Seems like a better solution may be to make a set of dummy grip panels with a known shape that could be screwed onto the gun and then insert the gun in the big adapters molded to match the dummy grips. I would fear one side of the adaptor coming off while I was trying to align it on the rest bolts and dropping all of my internal pieces on the ground.

That is a great idea and we contemplated that as well as one of the better options. But fear most would not want to buy the secondary dummy grip panels. Trying keep cost of product and product down in today's world is a big challenge.

Very good job, I watch it from France, what’s about the famous P226 X Five vs CZ Tactical sport orange, 25 yards, that will be a good match
