if you are stuck with LG smartphones, too bad, you must stick to Samsung phones. if you are stuck with Samsung smartphones, that's not a big problem. suffer with Xiaomi Redmi, Huawei/Honor, OnePlus etc (no unbranded Chinese phone)
I would say the biggest cause of LGs downfall is inconsistency. When buying a phone that you will keep for multiple years you want to know it's lifespan will be consistent. For example software updates, unique features that get cut the next year and never get any more support, and things like very poor marketing. The blanket phrase of "people are dumb and only buy iPhones" is a very ignorant viewpoint that disregards many of the varying factors at play.
I hope LG phones are going to come back sometimes. The WING is definitely a striking phone. I had a chance to hold it in my hand sometimes ago and it is a very beautiful phone.
It’s underrated AF but the whole thing with LG quitting in the phone industry was sad but yet the last LG I ever owned was the G3 and that was in 2013 2014 and that was the Samsung killer of its time then the G4 came out and that was the start to the end of LG, they still make some of the best monitors an oled tvs
The G3 was goat, I loved the rear finder print scanner and the plastic and big screen and colors were way better than my highschool friends with the galaxys and iPhone 4s.
This should have been made from scratch as a flagship phone. It's such a great idea just the processor doesn't really do the justice for multitasking possibilities with that screen.
LG is so Underrated & underappreciated! I just got a new V60, mainly because of the dual screen case, but the Quad dec and so many other things make it great today! Got android 13 and still got the lastest security update already (on TMobile)! I had zero idea, but its wild how strong & great the LG community is!🤘🏽
I really would love lg to come back to the phone making game, they were such a inovater, they made lazer auto focus, ultrawide camera, first qhd display, they were the ones to make most of the features we use today
Watching on my LG Wing😊 its sad to see, when people write sympathetic comments on why LG stop making phone. But if such people bought LG's revolutionary phones, it would have been great rather.
Loved the phone. Did not like that they went with a glass screen instead of their new scratch and crack resistant ones. Got the new zflip 4. Have had it for a year now. Absolutely love it.
Just got a wing myself and I'm loving it so far, the swivel is amazing and I couldn't complain about the performance. Batter life actually surprised me for a 4000mh (says 4300 on my specs app so idunno)
I've had this phone for awhile and love it! The pictures are compared to if not better then iPhones. The multi task that I can do on it is great cause I can never do just one thing and battery life plus storage is awesome. Everytime I bring it out the record or take pictures ppl ask me what kind of phone it is. No regrets and I'll always love LG phones.
If you grew up using various Otter Box cases, you will become shocked to find that there are no Otter cases for the LG Wing, period. The other cases are nearly useless because there is no way to attach the case that won't block the swivel mode. While my older LG phones had a screenshot button on the toolbar, the Wing only offers pressing the power and volume down buttons simultaneously. This leads to frequent inadvertent power off, as well as missing shots of precise moments during video sessions. I got the Wing due to it being the only model that offered 256gb, not for swivel. Looking back, I would have selected anything else to avoid the hard to hold swivel and lack of protective case.
I am on one now but honestly never really ised the 2nd screen till my main screen cracked and we all know how that affects the entire screen but the 2nd screen saved me till the replacement arrived a week ago. Back to not using the 2nd screen. Lol
I'd rather trade my old phone for this cool phone. The swivel feature is cool plus a popping front camera which we see in some phones nowadays is also cool. As of now, the LG Wing is a good option but is a flop as not most customers buy these phones. It's a shame that LG are not going to be hit unlike other companies, but I wish they will make more cool phones in the future. How did they make the swivel feature? If we remove the top 6.9 inch screen, will it release a totally different phone or just some random electronic parts inside the screen? I have no idea but please tell us.
This phone isso good i wish lg made newer models with this design like latest display canera improvements and new snapdragon processor 8 gen 3 or 4 this smartphone was ahead of it's time i want a phone like this but their aren't any with the latest features 🥲 so if i buy this with old processor gaming no so good camera i don't know but i can multi task and gimble 😅
I just ordered this. I believe that if you are trying to find more specs for your money, I would buy a s20 ultra ( 220 dollars), s10e (100 dollars), lg v60 or velvet ( 150 or less)and the note 10 plus. I think the s20 ultra is a absolute behemoth!! I personally like mine more than my s22 Ultra.
How should be LG's return to the smartphone market in the opinion: Nomenclature: Smartphones should have the name VELVET and a random letter such as VELVET S or VELVET X. Types of smartphones: it should launch smartphones of all types from basic to folding. Launch: it should launch two lines of top-of-the-line smartphones like Huawei, launch a basic and intermediate model per year, just like Chinese brands as OPPO does. Bonus: she should manufacture her own processors.
@@seonsmith1667 Yes facing hard time with the battery backup and heating issues. But still enjoying it's very stylish large curved display and the way it looks for a person next to you..👌👌👌
I have an LG velvet now but im thinking about buying a wing soon. So sad they stopped making phones, they were all my mom ever bought for the longest time...
@CommanderFoxy that is actually exactly why I don't like it. They lock all of the features that I want and need behind an overly convoluted set of menus that claim to be simple, and then require jailbreaking for any real flexibility in the software. I just can't stand the walled garden approach
Probably one of the coolest designs on a phone

can be true
I always liked this brand but for me G3 was garbage. Overheated so much it broke after a year.
I liked the V series. I had them up until the V40 and it was great. Especially the cameras at the time.

Its a great media phone. Still worth it in 2023
Buying one next month 🙏
Did you? If so, is it any good? Kinda tempted.

They're also floating around on eBay but AliExpress has so many more options
my main phone, except the ui and size its bloody amazing
Same, but I can get over the ui and size
I'm thinking about getting one. Is it a good phone? I have had many LG phones and I loved them
I always use two phones in this configuration this looks awesome as I don’t need to carry around tow phones but still have two screens.
Lg was the best brand by far.I always prefer lgs phones
To imagine if LG still made phones and making generations of the LG wing and thin q LG would have been the top 3
I totally understand you. But then again, popular tech sellouts would always dismiss them (I'm looking at you, MKBHD and Mrwhosetheboss).
