    I have a couple Basic Fantasy RPG books - the rules, the field guide, the first Adventure Anthology, and Morgansfort. I like how it's rules lite, but I think my favorite part about it is Basic Fantasy pairs so well with Mythic Game Master Emulator.
    I'm playing the first adventure in the Anthology book called "Gold in the Hills." 🙂
    Also, Artichoke Dip is awesome.

    Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I wish the best success for your channel. Besides Artichoke Dip I definitely recommend also the Geek Gamers channel.

      Thanks for the fine words, and the recommendation of Geek Gamers channel. II really enjoy making these videos, and hope to keep them interesting. Hopefully I’ll get a bit more polished as time goes on, but will try to remain Unscripted and Unchained.

    My idea taken from your list of random dungeon generation (combination of mythic, location crafter and extra die rolls:
    1. Dungeon Type (with mythic)
    2. Wandering Monsters (with mythic)
    3. Entry Type (mythic)
    4. Number of exits/branches of passageway (die roll)
    5. Room/passageway dimensions (die roll)
    6. Room/passageway features (location crafter)
    7. Direction of exits (die roll)
    8. Challenges encountered (location crafter, encounters)
    9. Objects usefull/setting scene objects (location crafter, objects)

    The oracles in scarlet heroes are amazing. In par with mythic

    I use meeples from amazon also. They come with heroes stickers and others with line tees and villains. Also item meeples from tiny epic defenders and tiny epic quest are awesome for this.

    have you tried playing MYFAROG solo?

    • @DM_Bluddworth
      @DM_Bluddworth  5 лет назад +1

      Felix Weidinger You could if you use a GM Simulator. But rather than using Mythic like in this video, I’d use a similar system to Four Against Darkness.

    Where did you find the black game box in the lower right picture?

      KIM IDOL that is just the picture I pulled from google. I would imagine there was at one time a kickstarter with a box set.

      David Crawford yes it does. I did not discover 4AD until several months after this video.

    How would you set up to play a pre written adventure.

    • @DM_Bluddworth

      For solo play?

    • @boardsandstuff5008
      @boardsandstuff5008 2 года назад +1

      Yes. I wonder how to keep the mystery and excitement. For as I see it a pre written adventure would resemble a board game with setting up scenarios.

    • @DM_Bluddworth
      @DM_Bluddworth  2 года назад +2

      The mystery lays with the result of the dice rolls. When I play solo I just think of it like writing a story with my character(s) in the primary role. You have to just try to disconnect yourself from the mechanics and knowledge that you are using or have.

      I have played solo. My take is the location and elements stay but I make table rolls. So the elements might appear in different rooms. Then us the gm emulation to add twist and some deviations to the main story. Like playing a video game and engaging in side quests.

    Says: "This book has everything you need to play."
    Then proceeds to pull out *A SECOND BOOK* that you ABSOLUTELY NEED IN ORDER TO PLAY THE GAME.
    Sorry man ... but this is extremely confusing for new players, and there are a lot of us.

    • @DM_Bluddworth
      @DM_Bluddworth  Год назад

      No, the basic core book is in fact everything you need to play.

      @@DM_Bluddworth Thank you for your fast reply. I'm 101% new to this world of RPG gamebooks. Been reading Ironsworn for some time but then decided I needed something more classic. And I found BFRPG. Your video was amongst the first I got on YT.
      I had to dig deeper to see what people say about it on reddit, and indeed some say it's self contained and others say it's suitable for solo play ... so I guess I'm gonna give it a go.
      Thanks for the video. Sorry I came off a bit frustrated, but you guys are veterans in this and not a lot of room for total noobs like me.

    • @DM_Bluddworth
      @DM_Bluddworth  Год назад +1

      @@mustno3 yes BFRPG is easy enough to use for solo play. The softcover is also less than $6.00, I believe, but you can get the pdf for free.
