      @@PowerRepublic im lucky, ive had it already, just mild symptoms and even the cough has gone now. 90% seem to be getting only slight symptoms if any, those dying are vulnerable cases and only the tip of a massive infection rates behind them, which have not been counted yet. Im certain i was infected 2 weeks before britain locked down, long before deaths reported locally. Those dying are dying now only after having the virus several weeks, which is how it spread so far and fast once people started dying. And because its now endemic in the population many will get sick at the same time causing our horrific problems we see in the news. Im hopeful this lockdown means most minor infected people dont pass it, and infection rates can be dropped to zero. Then, testing should show most had it, are not infected, and things can recover soon, but expect the next 3 or 4 weeks to be very bad. Now i only have family and friends to worry about, and hopefully can do more to help them once their convinced im not still infectious anyway...

    Thanks for a great video!! Top notch delivery as always by power republic!
    Glad to see you brought out a mini chassi this time around, would love to see more mini videos on your channel.
    If your equally bored as many of us in this pandemic period, here are some video suggestions:
    - comparison of "regular" seats vs the new style Jecko / Iamf H7 seats
    - seating position. With mini drivers you often have to start altering seating/pedal position and moving seat from original distance due to reaching distance to pedals and steering wheel.
    - benchmark of the new IAME swift/water swift vs Rotax micro. Loved the one you did on X30 vs Rotax max
    - piston change on Rotax max engine
    Lengthy list but no expectations of course! Thanks for making merch available internationally, will make sure to pick something up!!

    good on you. nice relevant video considering the times. just an idea in case you're running out - there is a game called Kart Kraft on Steam for PC. Might be an option for people who are itching to get out onto track? you would need a wheel set up for computer, so is a long shot. but might be accessible to some.

    Hi there,
    In a four stoke engine is it possible to keep it standing against a wall? I imagine that if we take out gasoline from deposit and carburator and oil from engine it should be fine no?

    • @PowerRepublic

    On the carb, mine was rebuilt at pfi@karttune a few weeks back, it hasnt been run since it was rebuilt, does that mean its good to store?? Battery is disconnected btw.
    Also, on a side note, ive ordered a small solar panal i can mount next to my battery, and a small panel which will have usb output, 12v socket, voltmeter all built in. Im hoping the panel will top the battery while im at the track, and going to add a big panel to the trailer cover i need to build so it will be topped up even when stored under its cover. That way, i can keep the battery topped up, and have an easy check on the kart. Plus i can charge my cameras using that system ect...

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  4 года назад +1

      Hey Chris, yeah your carbs are sweet as with no fuel in them.
      I always charge my batteries with a 240V charger so I can’t say it but I would imagine the solar would work fine.

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  4 года назад +1

      if it is a rotax style carby, take it off the kart and turn it upside down and drain fuel out through the breather hose. If it is a Tillotson style carb, unscrew the top plate and remove the gaskets and let it sit out over night. hope that helps

    My son drives a TonyKart 125 max evo and I had it inside in a warm room all winter. The carburator was working fine before season ended and I don't feel ready for taking it apart as you do in one of your first videos just yet. It's wrapped in bubble plastic and I'm thinking I just gonna put it on, of course I've cleaned it before winter with brakecleaner, but is there something else I should do? And I gonna change the oil in the gearbox, cause that seem like a good and not to hard thing to do. But I don't have a torque wrench to close the nut where you empty the oil, and I wonder if I can thrust my local mechanic at the gokartstore, cause he said just screw it in until it touches and than tighten maybe a 1/5 more, or something.. just not to hard. But I've seen on Rotaxvideo that it gonna tighten with 10 nm, so do I have to go and buy a expensive torque wrench or just thrust the gokartstore and not worrie to much about it? And I also gonna bleed the brakes, something I've never done, but your video the easy way to bleed your brakes is so good so I'm shore I gonna do it right with that video beside me :) hope for answers about the carburator and the gearbox, keep up the work with your videos, they help a lot. And yes I know you have a video somewhere where you show how to change the gearbox oil, I just took the easy way to ask this time ;)

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  4 года назад +1

      Hey Jasper, thanks for tuning in!
      Yes, please change your gearbox oil. You can just use the T_Bar Allen key to do up the sump bolt. the torque wrench is good, but you can over tighten it, because of the Copper washer under the drain plug. I like to do them up by hand. If you are nervous about it being to loose and coming out, I little bit of light duty Loctite should fix it.
      Carby should be all sweet if you drained it out before storage.
      Yes definitely bleed the brakes. It is an easy job to do once you have done it a couple of times.
      Sure do have a video on gearbox oil ;)

      no it should be all sweet. If you let them sit for a few months, hopefully you have drained out the old fuel. Then all yo need to do is charge the battery and maybe a fuel pump kit
