At 75 is it too late to fullfill a dream from the 60s. I retired and tried guitar and just can't do it. I could build the amplifier from Organ Amp and signal tracer but making music escaped me. I played bass drum in marching band and Kettle Drums in concert band back in High School but never could handle the snare let along rock roll drum set. Dennis in VA

@@DennisMurphey , hey Dennis! Well, I was a late bloomer. Started on percussion with a church band at age 47. Self-taught. No lessons. I play by ear. Taught myself how to play the drum kit at 59. Started doing drum therapy with people using hand drums (mainly djembe). Playing a djembe drum is easy! It's just one surface. You can tap out beats and rhythms, play along to your favorite tunes, etc. I've drummed with ages 4-100, using djembes. If they can do it, so can you! Have fun, my friend! 😊

@@DennisMurphey, my friends Mark Powers (Powers Percussion) and Kevin White (Drums 4 Fun) both have a series of drum books that are very good. I've used both with students (both kids and adults) back when I used to teach lessons. 😊
