Idk if it went over your head, but you can use 1/2" and 3/8" socket extetensions with this thing. That's kind of a big deal. I had no idea the malco fit in the 11 in 1 handle, so thank you for that, but i think this is a must have. Huge win for mechanics out there, big big win
You can add any extension on it that would normally fit on any 3/8 end… you just can’t flip it and put stuff in the handle like what I showed with the Malco and 11-1. That is because the bits in the handle keep it from being as hollow. You could also use a 1/4” to 3/8 adapter in your 11-1 and create a similar situation. This one just has that built in with bits in the handle and works with the other 1/4” pass through connect stuff. They are all useful tools that ultimately become more useful the more pieces you buy and they work together.
Oof, what a relief. I was worried - it's been two weeks since last screwdriver video. But fortunately everything is back on tracks :) I will say it again, I wish Klein was available in Europe. These are not the staple tools, but I could buy some of them. But as with most hand tools I need to touch them first, so buying online is not an option for the first time. Nice and thorough review, as always.

It definitely does. I’m always more interested in the handles typically to see how I can figure out what all I can do with them. I rarely use these “in ones” as they come out the package. I’m a dedicated screwdriver fan if it’s all I’m really using though

@@three-phase562 on the Impact 11-1 you can fit a 1/4” hex to 3/8” adapter in the shaft swapping out one of your sides. I’m not sure about the ratcheting. You can maybe find one short enough
Seeing your loadouts and the mess of 3/8s sockets you use this one makes alot of sense. Like he stated you can stick an adapter one on side and make something with most of the same functionality. These scream you!
That's pretty cool! I bought the 3/8 pass through socket set, not realizing that the 1/4 works with the impact 11-in-1 ratcheting screwdriver and now also this new 1. Best I can tell the 3/8 pass through socket set that's klwin knect M is a 5/8 12 point socket. I haven't seen anything as far as kleins screwdrivers that work with it so no handle for a hollow shaft screwdriver option yet (unless someone else knows of something I've missed?)

Also a heads up with the new Knect 21 piece starter set. The driver handle that it comes with that accepts the pass through extension and sockets, etc is not ratcheting. It’s a bit smaller in diameter and much lighter weight than the 11 in 1 ratcheting driver handle. It says Knect S on the end of it. I guess they special made this handle just for that kit. I didn’t know that until I opened it up. I really am liking the way the handle feels, it’s very comfortable. This is in response to you saying that some people might not buy the 11 in 1 ratcheting screwdriver because they’re not a fan of ratcheting screwdrivers to use with their pass through set.

I've always used and had an affection for Klein Tools but I don't find myself using them as much as I used to. I've bought many if the new items. I guess they're my shop queens. Show n tell.
@@7870Alfonso you have to use the extension that comes in that set to add the length. There isn’t enough length on the 16-1 adapter to reach the connection point of those sockets. Hope that makes sense
Seems like a super versatile adapter. I bet it would pair nicely with the impact 11-1. When I can find it somewhere I'm definitely going to pick it up for my school trades bag. What are your thoughts on the m12 fuel drill-driver combo? I think I want to invest more into the m12 side... like the stubby, ratchet, and I already have the circ saw. They just work better for my needs, are smaller, and a bit cheaper, without sacrificing functionality. However I haven't used them, just watched reviews of them. So any advice?
I use them both.. I prefer the surge over the regular, but to get the combo in the kit is the better deal with the regular impact. For nearly almost everything daily you use them for, they will 100% work
If you don't care about the extra quiet impact defently but the combo on a good free tool promo. There is a small power difference with the latest one vs the surge. When you can get the hammer drill and impact for the price of the surge alone it's more practical. Getting proper batteries is more important the high output 2.5s and 5.0s for bigger tools. That's where the money should go but for people like me and Joey we spend the extra money on that quiet advantage because we have everything else already.

I don’t think I’d use it to the fullest in my current role but if I were to ever transition to more of a maintenance/service tech position I think this would be a good one for the “pocket garage” as Doc from last best tool says. I do like how you customized your impact 11-in-1…. I think I may do the same with mine.

I have a 5 year old pica 3030 that's doing just fine it's actually been ran over by a van once or twice (don't ask me how I know). You'll loose them or the cap before you have a issue with them. You will kick yourself for loosing a 12 to 16 dollar pencil too though the bright color makes it hard to. The alternatives arnt any cheaper sometimes more like tracer and that red one. 8 out of the 10 I own still know where they are and work fine rest are stolen or a void.
Really wish they would do cool little tools like this with traditional bit holders or introduce a locking bit holder on one end instead of the flip socket. I personally hate the flip socket so everything that includes it as the bit holder just falls flat for me. Feels like they are all-in on the flip socket though

I could only find it in the app or on the website when scanning the barcodes in the store at Lowe’s. Wouldn’t let me buy them online, had to go in the store

@@wim0104 I’m curious how well it holds up if used that way. I think the only bonus to this one is being able to use it with the 1/4” KNECT set, and have bit holding. Many already have the Ratcheting 11-1 handle for that. I don’t think it’s a right fit for the majority for sure.

Also, most of the time you need a 3" extension for the 3/8" socket
Using that skinny 1/4" hex as a socket extension, does not make sense on an impact.
