It’s refreshing to see how Chris is super confident in his abilities but not cocky about it. Doesn’t deflect all the compliments but also isn’t condescending or patronizing about what he knows, and he isn’t afraid to acknowledge that he’s smart and very talented. Love this episode!
The Place I Feel Safest is my favorite album ever. The amount of relatability in the lyrics and the atmosphere they establish in each song is amazing. It got me through a lot of rough days when I went on walks and I'm thankful for that.
"Big brain in that chair," I mean, his last name is Wiseman. XD I love Currents, they're my favorite band. These boys have helped me through more than I care to share. I am forever grateful for them and the music they write. Thanks for having Brian and Chris. I spoke with Chris once about him writing an instrumental for me. Once I get the money up, it's happening.
45:50 sometimes i feel like guitarists have kindred spirits haha. Napoleon is a deep cut. Villains too. I feel like a bunch of us grew up watching beheadingatraitor youtube and pulled tons of inspiration
Really enjoyed this episode. Love Currents. Wish they spoken more about 'The Death We Seek' with regards to the tracks, inspiration, making of etc, but loved the episode still
Saw them in October with Polaris. Hung out after the show with the boys for a few minutes. Awesome band, better dudes. Seeing them again on the 30th with The Amity Affliction and Dying Wish. Can't fucking wait!!
I only got in to currents 2 years ago saw them live twice last year first their headlining tour for the death we seek then with polaris Brian is such an amazing vocalist. he sounds spot on live. even though I just got in to them, they are easily top 3 metalcore bands for me right now
Nothing of any substance to add. Just wanted to say I f**k*ng love this Podcast. The effort you're putting in, while simultaneously being more relaxed is showing so well. I hope the Podcast continues to grow and you have continued success. Thanks for the entertainment and laughs! - PS. I'm the muppet that subscribed to your Twitch channel for 6 months in advance. So don't f**k me about mate. Fanks
The Live Nation thing, some bands and venues are not getting the money all the time, and it does seem to be a temporary thing and the charges are going to come back. Tank the Tech did a whole (at least a few) video(s) on it.
I swear songkick still has the picture of the children if you look up Currents, I tried to see how those kids would turn into the band members I know for so long 😂
Easter Thursday is a thing. It’s easter for 40 days in the Catholic church. And the first entire week is easter Sunday, btw. Sunday for an entire week. Just some random info for ya 😂🙏
Weird they don't sound check, the sound at 02 Islington was horrendous for them. Definitely wasn't the venue as Sentinels and Oceans ate Alaska were awesome
Rock bands absolutely need to start creating merch in different colours, man. I’m always looking to support bands, but black looks so incredibly bad on me. I turn ghostly white 👻 when wearing black (or white for that matter). Give me pink or neon green or whatever, instead of all this black!

Bryan, the sweethart of a person, that writes sad lyrics :)
Magical. Amazing episode.
God dude you can just hear in Brian's voice that he's a vocalist
Clear and resonant like a well-tuned bell.
Lmao I was thinking the same thing before I looked at these comments 😂
this is the greatest podcast on earth. banger after banger after banger after banger
Top tier band. Craig killing it with the great guests, classy setup and hilarious banter. This podcast has zero weakness.
The episode I've been waiting for! Currents is by far my favorite Metalcore band!
I've been obsessed with "The Death We Seek" fuck yea, dude 🤘
ADAM IS ME!
That is so sick.
Great answer!!!
I don't usually like podcasts, but every episode of this one is so much fun that I'm already looking forward to the next one!
Excellent work!
Love to hear this thank you
Napoleon name drop. Wish they were still around!
Loving this episode.
Currents are really in a league of their own. Love these dudes and their music so much!! Can’t wait for a headliner in Aus 🎉
Currents fucking slaps I’m seeing them live for the second time 🤘🏼😎🤙🏼💯

One of my favorite bands!! Thank you, Craig.
It’s been so great to watch these guys rise. They are great on stage and so nice off stage. This was a great podcast.

LOVE CURRENTS, Thank you daddy Craig for the great episode.
Downbeat website and merch are 🔥 mate! Congratulations! Finally got my stage shorts
These chaps are from my state in the good old USA. A fantastic listen!
You know that Chris is a fan of the podcast because he absolutely played Craig with that Nandos lie
Chris has been on the podcast
Saw them in October with Polaris. Hung out after the show with the boys for a few minutes. Awesome band, better dudes. Seeing them again on the 30th with The Amity Affliction and Dying Wish. Can't fucking wait!!
"you'd be Currants as in fucking raisins" has me dead 44:21
The Electric in Brixton is a sick venue, always had great sound there any time I've been.
That Villains/Youth Forever mention came out of nowhere! Great band!
I only got in to currents 2 years ago

Craig was a bit unhinged on this one, great ep as always!
Any chance for a Limmy episode? I know its not music related but it would be hilarious.

Another banger. Killing it this year #locked #in

The Tale of My Defeat boutta do NUMBERS this month
Love this band so much 🤘
Its crazy how talented chris is
Mugshot fucking rips. Stoked they keep getting on these big tour packages. Their guitarist is a fucking riff magnet
Chris politely listening to the Eastenders drum sample story as if he didn't hear it the last time he was on the podcast
I swear songkick still has the picture of the children if you look up Currents, I tried to see how those kids would turn into the band members I know for so long 😂

“Drink til I can’t blink”
I always sing " drink till I can't think". Makes more sense too me
I love that Chris is always in a Metallica shirt
Dude the part about guitarist never being cool with changing drum parts made me fuckin cackle.
anyone know what shirt craig is wearing?? its sick
30:09 Why we not allowed to talk about Procession?
Check out the band October Noir!!! They’re fucking awesome. I would love to see you interview Tom and the band
6:54 upgrading what exactly?
And soon afterwards at like 7:15 the numbers like 800, then 1200 etc what do those mean?
Venues. the numbers are the capacity of the venues.
@@reynlord666 gotcha, thanks 👍🏻

Probably an obvious one, what is it when a band is “striking “?
Didn’t know what voice I expected from Chris, but it’s not this somehow.
you kinda sound like daniel craig. bet youve never heard that one before. and no im not american believe it or not lol
i think it was one of the records after obzen that was programmed. koloss or violent sleep
I’m such a fake fan! I never noticed that Chris is a member of Currents and Shadow of Intent 🫠🤣 thanks for the episode🖤
Go back to the downbeat episode with shadow
He's the brain child of both. Dude is a monster!
Currents first singer was better vocalist. Listen to one of their earlier album life// lost. When Brian came they took another direction.
