      Yeah, he could be an asmr millionaire in 6 months if he marketed it. Like Bob Ross has nothing on Dave. Seriously.

    I wasn't aware software like this even existed, so I searched and picked up Samsung Magician for my Evo drives - really neat information in there. Thank you!

      Yes, SSD software is very informative and definitely worth using.

    This man really deserves more subs. How come that I love his explanation yet he still has this low subs :(

      Either lack of big boobs or lack of "entertaining" stupidity.. Not everyone likes clear, straight forward useful explanations.. I do, tho.

    Hey Dave, another nice video/tutorial. This's one of those utilities that I know I would like to use someday, but just don't know when I'd get to it. Thank you for all your good work!

    Thanks for this, I hadn't thought of doing it before. Turns out there was a firmware update for my drive, and it looks like it might actually fix a problem that I've had (occasional failure to resume from standby).

    Nice video, just like all the others I've seen on your channel so far. What I'm curious about regarding SSDs is, how do you know how long they have left before they stop functioning, and how long they're projected to last. I've heard so many mixed things, ranging from some small business tech store guys I had to go to a few times telling me that my 1 TB 970 EVO Plus SSD would last five years, to some article online saying that they'll pretty much outlive me, which would be glorious, but I dunno if that's true.
    You clearly know your stuff when it comes to SSDs and computers in general, so I'll pitch the question to you.

    • @EasyPcRepairs
      @EasyPcRepairs  Год назад

      Thank you! SSDs should last for over 5 years. A good SSD (such as your 1TB 970 EVO Plus) should last for 10+ years. How long they last depends on a few factors such as how often they're written to, and how hot they are when in use.

    What is the difference between total host writes and total NAND writes?

    • @EasyPcRepairs
      @EasyPcRepairs  3 года назад +1

      Total host writes is the amount of data that you have written to the drive. Total NAND writes is the amount of data that has actually been written to the drive.

    I have a question I have an ssd that I use for a boot drive. I used it for 5 years. Only one problem health is at 100 on the dashboard. I ran SMART multiple times the values dont makes sense as there is no get data read or writes.
    Its a Sandisk plus 240
    My NAND write is 266000 Gb or 266TB.
    My host write is 51,000 gb.

    Does Life reaming factor is applicable to normal hard drives?

    • @EasyPcRepairs
      @EasyPcRepairs  4 года назад +1

      Life remaining is normally only shown on solid state drives, though some software will show how much life is remaining on a hard disk drive if a problem is found.

      @@EasyPcRepairs so it's better to use Normal hard drive, if one don't want to have good read or write speed rather than life of hard disk?

    • @EasyPcRepairs
      @EasyPcRepairs  4 года назад

      Solid state drives tend to last longer than hard disk drives in general. But there's still a place for HDDs as they have more capacity and are less expensive.

    Hi,
    So I have 3 pieces of ram 2 which are 8gb DDR4 3200 MHz and I have a single 8 gb stick of ram I don’t know the stats of it except this is it’s code (U7YV00082690A5C2EC) and it’s Samsung if I can I will send a picture of it I will if not then that’s all I have to say.
    So basically what I’m trying to say is can I use al 3 ram sticks or will I get a ton of problems

    • @EasyPcRepairs
      @EasyPcRepairs  3 года назад +1

      There is a chance that you could have no problems. But it's best to only put in matching RAM because ones that don't match can cause big problems.
