Exactly what i see all the time with similar content channels to mine. With 0 tags, 0 SEO score and they are getting tons of views, growing fast immediately in weeks, even on the first channel video, 25k-100k+ views and the channel was created 2-3 weeks before, meanwhile i care about tech stuff, spending lot of time to setup for 90-100 SEO score on videos and the result is 100 - 300 views avg only, still after 14 years. Not to mention when i created new channels, there wasnt 25k+ views, the views was always 7-10 on first videos and these need to be 2-3 years old to reach 100 - 200 views. Extremely frustrating. Not getting views, but it's okay. Consistency is key; you can grow. The starting phase is very hectic, even though you are putting in 100% effort and getting no views. I don't know where I am making mistakes.
Hi! Great video. I usually put my videos to private first and then change it to public once 4K is ready. I noticed you also upload in 4K. Do you recommend uploading 4K for vlogs? I heard some viewers have problems playing 4K videos due to connection issues. So I’m considering maybe uploading them in 1440p. But I really like uploading in 4K thinking when the higher resolutions will soon be used more commonly, my videos won’t be too pixelated in comparison.. if that makes sense. :)
The RUclips client is 'smart enough' to know when either a network link or a computer/mobile device isn't up to the task of showing 4k, and it will gracefully downgrade to a lower resolution as and when needed. RUclips will automagically downscale your videos to all the lower resolutions, so there is no need to think of those. When people complain about not being able to fluently view 4k videos, it is frequently because they are trying to force a higher resolution than the one RUclips picks for them. But that isn't your problem. It is theirs. 😉 Tl;dr: Just upload in the maximum resolution you can, and RUclips will sort out the details. There is no downside to uploading in 4k.😊

@@Therecapfreakofficial after recording or exporting your video in 4K, make sure your RUclips upload setting is in Full Quality (not 1080p). Always check since whenever the app is redownloaded, the default is I think 1080p. Even if the video you want to upload is in 4K but in your RUclips settings it’s only 1080p, it won’t be in 4K. Then wait for the video to be processed from SD to 4K. Depends on how many GB your video is and how fast your internet speed is, usually takes me 2-3hrs to process an 8min 4K vid using my phone. :) uploading using the laptop is roughly similar. I usually upload it in private first so viewers won’t watch my video in 360p (nothing wrong with that, just my preference) and then change it to public once 4K or 2160p is ready. hope this helps. TL;DR 1) Record/export 4K video 2) RUclips Upload Setting to “Full Quality” 3) Wait for it to be processed from SD to 4K. 4) Private to public :)
If it doesn’t slow down your process to edit in and upload in 4K then that’s my suggestion. If peoples internet isn’t good enough to watch in 4K, RUclips will lower the quality for those people

I've created and posted 30 videos, and thought I understood everything about the upload process, but you really filled in some gaps that i didn't know I had in my knowledge. Also - QUESTION: I record in 1080, and use ScreenPal High Quality to Publish and upload. But my videos show poor resolution when played back on a big tv screen, whereas other people's videos look crystal clear on any size screen. How can I make my videos HD even on big screens? Hi Mr. Justin, Thanks for the tutorial step-by-step procedure for uploading videos. I followed it to the word with my first post. But there is a problem and could not find anywhere answer for it. Made a video with a mobile as camera (in horizontal format), in MP4, loaded it into my computer and it showed perfectly in horizontal format as should be. Uploaded it to RUclips and somewhere on the way the system at YT decided and flipped it on its side, making it a vertical format. What is wrong??? What can I do to have my video in “normal” horizontal format? Could not find any tools either in the uploading procedure or YTStudio to turn the image right. Thanks Gabor

Key think to mention is 1) You need to go through channel verification steps (including your drivers license) in order to use chapters (SO WEIRD). No one explained this. And using playlist - is that the way you group your videos under categories?

Hi there, if I wanna upload a video it says 'video not visible in some countries, no income (monetization) possible'. Does that mean that the video can't make money or does this effect the whole page and you can't make money at all because of that specific video?

When I tap the plus button it immediately does a short and when I go to video section it dose t give me the option to upload a video and just says no videos yet get started. But it doesn’t give me an option to upload.
Not a big fan of commenting on videos or subscribing to RUclips channels. But if I ever watch a video and the advice ever help me in any way, I always like and subscribe to the channel and also comment on it as a way of saying "thank you to the channel and creator." I started a new RUclips channel for my video project. Posted a few videos. But not many views. No subscribers YET. Also, I am not a big fan of RUclips platform because of lack of viewership and subscribers. I prefer Instagram, Twitter and blogging on my website. Why? I see results easily and quickly. I watched this video a couple of weeks ago How to Upload Videos on RUclips (Settings to Maximize Views!). And for the first time, I decided to apply the techniques on my last posted video. And to my surprise, the video got more views than all the videos I had posted previously. I will apply it again on my next RUclips videos. Liked, commented and subscribed! Thanks again! Nowhere in your video is it explained how to change the settings on the website to force RUclips to upload the video in a higher definition, instead of the default of RUclips taking a 4K video original and squashing the video resolution down to blurry. Nobody apparently knows how to do this on the website (lots of people know how to do this on the phone).

I noticed starting a few months ago that RUclips is limiting the maximum quality of my videos. I've been uploading in 1440p for years but a few months ago I noticed that once I upload, my videos are only available in 720p on YT. Anyone have any answers on this, ideas?
For mobile it really depends of the device some of them we can choose the upload quality or choose to post a short or video seriously for some device a lot of things missing 😅

If your content has or will be on tv in the us then select that option, if not you can skip it. Most people will skip it

There likely WILL be issues if you use the music from CapCut. I recommend Artlist and Epidemic Sound instead

You can change the video language, but not the language of video title and description - it comes from the channel settings. So confusing 😩
You skipped and ignored "location" should we add location of country?? Or city or leave it empty.

How do we get rid of the black on the top and bottom of screen so that video fills the screen whether on desktop or smartphone?

I noticed starting a few months ago that RUclips is limiting the maximum quality of my videos. I've been uploading in 1440p for years but a few months ago I noticed that once I upload, my videos are only available in 720p on YT.
Anyone have any answers on this, ideas?

For mobile it really depends of the device some of them we can choose the upload quality or choose to post a short or video seriously for some device a lot of things missing 😅

I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong,,I’ve been monetised for over 3 months,,only made £17 in 3 months,,I post shorts daily and getting thousands of views and the odd video,,,new channels are making a lot more money and don’t post nowhere near as much as me,,I’m a bit lost
Why not all channels can see the Tag and and Notification section?

My videos used to upload in HD now they only go up to 720 and for the life of me I can't seem to fix it. I've been looking for videos and can't find any. I record using canon g7x mark ii and edit in FCPX. I have no idea why their uploading only in 720. They're rendering in HD on FCPX. Do you have any idea why?
