- This is a rare "behind the scenes" video from the cover CD included with MacAddict issue 26 (October 1998). The video shows footage of the team involved in the music and voice acting for the 1997 computer game "Myth: The Fallen Lords", developed by Bungie Software. Lots of great studio footage. I just had to get this video online for those who haven't seen it. It's a great piece of Bungie history! :)
Gotta love Marty's haircut! :)

Here is the description of the video that was in a text file on the MacAddict CD:
"A very special treat for you Mac addicts. The guys at Total Audio (the music masters of Myth) composed this collection of outtakes filmed during the making of Myth. Put the real face to the voices of your favorite Myth characters in this behind-the-scenes look at the recording sessions. As an added bonus, they even supplied the music for our Tour interface. Thanks guys!"
There was also a Credits text file with the following content:

Thank You Bungie for this great, legendary game.
This needs way more views.
wow this is awesome...such an epic game! im still playing myth 2 multiplayer now
Jeff Marrow was awesome. Especially how he was able to do that deep voice. D:
The voice acting of this game was so well done!!
This video is so "studio on a day of work during the 90's'', hahahaha, looks like an amicable place!

Anybody know the name of the voice actor that did the story narration during the story, or the guy that said "casualties!" during the battles? I've looked all over Google and can't find anything in regards to credits.
Geoffrey Charlton-Perrin

im surprised they havent made a movie out of this
Yes, the great thing about the story line is that so many die. The film would be so realistic.
@@edscissor-e9w i love the dwafs, i have a small maltese dog and i grunt at it just like the dwarfs in myth game.
@@lacuevadelvampiro as long as you don't mistake him for a Thrall ;)
@@edscissor-e9w in the video i wanted them to say "burn!"
Incredible
Hoooly crap. It's cool to see these lines I remember so well from the game spoken by people there.
That was one awesome game, too. They don't make'm like that any more.
Myth 4, remake or something. I miss these games too much. And I love the story. It kind of reminds of Star Wars when the good Jedi's turn into bad ones. Like Connacht became Balor. That made me sad
Wait wait wait, so Balor is black in real life? Surprising to say the least XD.
This was my first and probably only pre-order ever, still got the T-shirt and the bezerker gift bill (says “valid forever”)
1:43 BURN!
this is soo fucking cool!!!
I don't know what to say, just feel...
They should a made a documentary!
Jason Jones is my hero.
ahahah so nice
"As an added bonus, they even supplied the music for our Tour interface. Thanks guys!"
Can you capture and upload this custom interface music he is talking about here? I love Total Audio and would be peachie to hear this. I never saw the Mac addit issue back then.
I would like to have it as well
Hey man, I actually finally got around to scouring the CD for these tracks and found them in a hidden folder. They are 22khz 8bit stereo audio in QuickTime movies, so not the best quality. They're just music from the Myth TFL soundtrack. Track 1 is "The Last Battle" and is 1:28 long, Track 2 is "Epilogue" and is 1:31 long. They are indiscernible from what was on the official soundtrack, except I think the last few seconds of each one could be a bit different so it can fade out sooner. BTW, the issue that contains this stuff is MacAddict issue 26, October 1998 (not 1997 like I thought, haha)
Would you be able to RIp or capture this footage at a higher res now? Or is the quality that you uploaded to youtube the same as whats found on the mac addict disc? I just ask because a lot of bungie posted videos are of various quality. I have the one somehwere where its kinda a tour of the bungie officed while they are making Marathon 1 i belive, might be marathon 2 i forget.
Nah, unfortunately the QuickTime video from the MacAddict CD is a measly 11.4 megabytes, with a resolution of 300 x 226 pixels.
