I mean yuuichi literally says himself that he's not that smart in terms of IQ and kie and even tenji are smarter than him in terms of IQ and academics, the thing is yuuichi is a really good judge of character and has really good intuition, and on top of that he's quite unpredictable cause he's willing to do things most people won't even consider, all which makes him a really good manipulater. That said he's obviously not stupid, I'd say he's still probably above average in IQ, but Ayanakoij has like 281 IQ if I remember correctly and can literally get any score he wants in any test, he literally got 50 on all the tests in the beginning, think about it, *exactly* 50 on all of them, just because he wanted to deceive everyone. As far as who would win in a battle of wits, if you only seen the cote anime and read the tomodachi game manga you'd think yuuichi but I didn't read the cote LN so I can't say for sure, but from what I heard ayanokoji is a level above yuuichi. And obviously in a fight koji would obliterate him.
