We had the incredible opportunity to climb aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's Adventure of the Seas FIRST sailing out of Nassau, Bahamas on June 12th, 2021. We were also onboard the FIRST sailing out of the US on Celebrity Edge on June 26th, 2021. Celebrity Cruise Lines was the first major North American cruise line that sailed from a North American port since March 2020. We were also on the first Carnival cruise out of Florida on July 4th Carnival Horizon sailing. We were on the Inaugural Season Carnival Mardi Gras cruise ship maiden voyage sailing on July 31st! We were on one of the first Disney Cruise Line ships sailing out of the US on Disney Dream on August 20th, 2021! We were on one of the first Alaska sailings in 2021 on Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas on August 27th, 2021! I was the Stage Manager of the shows for 5 months on Wonder in 2011. I am sailing on her again in September as a guest for the first time....will probably be weird, but hopefully in the best way possible. Can't wait to see your Wonder videos!
Another great room tour. Thank you. I had a simular problem on the carnival freedom in the front but not half as bad as yours,because it was worth the view fir us to stay put in our room and I would stay there again. Have fun.

We were on the Disney Wonder in May and we had a similar issue with our room, loved the room but there was so much shaking. The ship was at 50% capacity and we could of moved but my mom's stateroom was next door and she needed an accessible room. The staff were incredible though, we mentioned the rattling and shaking (was the ceiling panels) and they fixed it right away. The cruise was amazing❤️

As I said did my homework watch over 20 people on RUclips (you are in the top 4) and disboards the cruise page a lot of other reported the ending noise in lower decks and vibrations all over. We noticed it while eating in the aft and were so happy picked midship lol.

I have sailed on the Wonder a couple of times but always get a cabin mid-ship. I have heard about issues like you mention for aft cabins. In addition if you are susceptible to motion sickness the aft cabins can be a little harder to manage. Just love you two.

Thank you for this very positive and constructive review. My family and I are booked for a Feb. 2023 cruise on the Disney Dream and we have inside and verandah rooms aft on deck 6. My verandah room is almost in the same area as room 6652 that you reviewed on the Disney Wonder. This video makes me wonder, no pun intended, if I should change my room to one closer to midship. It is still early enough that I might be able get all of our rooms changed if I act soon enough, hopefully close to the same price. Thanks, again, for sharing.
THe Magic and Wonder were the first ships in 1997 and 1998. The Dream and Fantasy were the second pair of DCL ships. The rooms are very similar. I don't know what you are looking for in a midship cabin--the cabins will be identical. The aft cabins are near the restaurants and the younger kid areas. Midship are good locations for everything.

*when I was on the HORIZON..I brought along heavy magnets & clear clear shower curtain and sat on my balcony on rainy nights.. I was able to the ENJOY the AMBIENCE of the balcony w/o getting soaked 👍🏽... on my 1st ever cruise(which was the VISTA).. i over heard a seasoned cruise couple saying they do this on all of their cruises 😊
So..... I held that thought process & incorporated it ❤
It was so BEAUTIFUL & I sat up until sunrise. Then the rain stopped.

When we went…some years ago…that wasn’t a fridge but a chiller…like a cooler. It did not have refrigerant. I found that out quickly when I went for a soda I popped in that morning. This may have changed since then but good to know if not.
I was all set to get a Junior Suite at the very back of an RC cruise I took in April. After booking it, I heard all sorts of stories about the nightmare you experience if the waters get choppy and when they speed up. I booked this Junior Suite because I travel alone and felt that this would be my last cruise and I was going to treat myself. I ended up in my normal kind of suite with an ocean view and was so happy I did that. I love balcony cabins when I can get a port side one, so that if I want to sit out when in port I can people watch. There were none available. By the way they were tiny bathrooms (closets). On my last cruise, I kept banging my head on the edge of the sink that was right in front when I sat down and got up. Thought I would have a permanent bruise.

we went mid more because of waves.. surprised the engine vibration affected the 6th floor. TY for sharing.. i looked today.. we have 69 more days until were on the Disney Wonder..

I've stayed in the aft cabins on decks 6 and 7. Yes, the aft cabins have issues when the thrusters are being used. It is usually only while the ship is docking. Glad they were able to move you. We never found it to be an issue as the noise and shaking didn't last long. Beyond that, essentially all the cabins on the Magic and Wonder are the same. The cat 4 "Family" are a bit larger, and what used to be called a 12, then renamed an 11 C have only a single bath. Granted, they don't have the high tech features that you'll find on newer ships, but they are in good repair and totally sufficient.
The old Carnival Triumph had these hair dryers and I hated them primarily because I had no interest in doing my hair in the coffin-like bathrooms. Plus that meant hubby couldn't be in there doing his thing. Thankfully I always bring my own hair dryer when we travel for just such an "emergency"!

I had to check the deck plan for deck 6. This room was really far aft. I have been in 6634, which is still aft, but not nearly as far back. I only heard and felt the thrusters when we attempted (and failed) to dock in Jamaica, otherwise, I loved it. 6634 is a Navigators Veranda, so you save a bit of $$$ on that.

@@frannydent9044 Too hard for them to get to the dock in Jamaica. We were going from Galveston to San Juan a few days after an earthquake in Puerto Rico, so the seas were very choppy. The cruise director had to scramble to create new activities onboard.
The balcony isn't good with the solid white instead of the clear wall panels. How can you even see the ocean sitting down? I don't think that's possible!

Ok wife and I made a bet as to the reason. I was right lol. Have only Been on one cruise , wonder to Alaska but…. Did enough research on cruising and cruising on Disney and cruising on the Disney wonder to write encyclopedia lol when we were on the wonder last September we were midship and for us midship has multiple benefits. One was the vibration yes the front gets vibration but not as bad. But because it’s such a small ship, it’s good to get to everywhere you can easily get to the front of ship the back of the ship because you’re midship. We’re going on our second Disney cruise on the wonder sister ship in a few several months and again Roxgoing to be on the same floor as you midship. I think I know what about pricing to do with Disney ships it does go up and down based on location, so yes I could’ve gotten a after room for a couple hundred cheaper but I knew what I was getting so for a couple hundred more we picked a random midship keep up the good work love your shows

i guess the nice thing about a small bathroom is that if you're sitting and someone barges in your knee can keep the door from opening...

Lol that hair dryer isn't a unique feature - it's a hangover from hotels in the 80s and 90s.
I have this cabin booked on the Magic and am now leery. Were the vibrations constant? You said for a whole day. Was this the first day, were there choppy seas? Just trying to determine if this was an anomaly or inherent to the room. I would think that deck 6 would be high up enough to be away from the engine to be effected by engine noise. Thanks or any additional insights you may be willing to give!
