The US wants to pull down Russia but is too scared to do it face to face but instead have resorted to using the Ukraine to do it on its behalf. That's a great strategy. If the Ukraine wins, US objective would have been achieved but if the Ukraine loses, oh well, a pawn has been sacrificed.
