One of my dear nieces is married to the son of a man who emigrated from Ukraine to the U.S. THIS IS PERSONAL, PUTIN. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have Ukrainian ancestry in their family trees. These are legitimate targets, these cities are staging areas and are logistics hub for much of the Russian War machine operating in the east of Ukraine, depots, bridges and railway are being hit with minimal or no civilian casualties.
Putin will use this to declare total war on Ukraine and mobilize Russias reserves and strike Ukraine way harder.

In case you somehow don't know this: Afghanistan was in 2001 ruled by the Taliban who willingly harbored camps of the terrorists who attacked us on 9/11. Iraq had no such connection to anything like that.

Ukraine is the new Afghanistan for Russia.
When they can flank the missile launchers and artillery emplacements, Ukraine will start immediately reducing their losses. It's far better to take the fight to the enemy. Right now they're thinking of logistics interruption. That takes longer to feel the effects of. Time for many more recon drones to help find those mobile units.
Also locations where helicopters are based and Jets. That's the target that is more important in my view.

Most Russian BTG's are standardly equipped with 10 tanks, some 40 armored personnel carriers, and a whole fleet of supply trucks, but only two of those are fuel trucks. A combat unit that cannot maneuver in battle isn't in the battle.

Their supposed tank force reserve of some 10,000 tanks - much of it has been appraised as inoperable due to the ravages of time, cannibalism of parts, etc. One estimate said that as many as 3/4 of them don't even have engines, and that many of the electrical systems are completely dilapidated, especially due to rodent infestations, where they chew on the wiring harnesses!

In the Donetsk region alone, between the evenings of 18 and 20 February, the SMM recorded 2,158 ceasefire violations, including 1,100 explosions. In the previous reporting period, it recorded 591 ceasefire violations in the region.
