- The final video for my Flying Dutchman ride. I tried to create something unique in Nolimits 2. The ride is based on the "Vliegende Hollander" in the Efteling, but in a much grander setting. The video is made from the standpoint of a visitor of the park, filming the experience he has in the park. The video has been created for the week 100 video contest.

This definitely had the feel of a Disney style attraction and I was blown away. Superb choice of music. Very impressive. By far one of my favorites ever.

First off, I am very sorry for this late review. I know the contest happened quite some time ago, but I totally forgot to leave a comment. :/ >Shame on me<
Anyway, onto the feedback. Right in the beginning the video I was fascinated by the amount of detailed scenery. And then you keep adding more and more footage showing it. The music accompanying this beautiful scene is just perfect. The fly-through the amazingly well-done queue made me feel like I'm in a real park. When the music switched back to the uplifting part in the station I got some goosebumps. The onride POV following afterwards shows the immensely detailed dark ride section of the ride. Not having been on the real Vliegende Hollander coaster I can safely say I can imagine how it feels to be on the original ride. The only thing which was kinda weird is that the camera wasn't located in the front row, the boat takes away about one fifth to one fourth of the whole screen. While I can understand you want to showcase it, too, but you could have implemented in a far better way during the offride shots in my opinion. Anyway, this is perhaps just personal taste, everything else really adds up to something very special. Truly an outstading experience! Well done.

Holy damn. Ze hadden in de Efteling net zo goed Two Steps From Hell-muziek kunnen gebruiken... geweldige muziekkeuze, man!
Ze zouden TSFH overal kunnen gebruiken. Zeer geschikt voor achtbanen.
Die komt verrekte kort in de buurt van het origineel, ik moet eerlijk zeggen, ik vind die extra elementjes nog wel wat hebben, goed gedaan man.
Weet hoeveel passie je al jarenlang hebt voor dit project. Supermooi om te zien hoe jij de potentie uit De Vliegende Hollander hebt weten te halen die het in het echt nooit heeft kunnen krijgen.

Ik heb al achter die bar gestaan
ik zie heel erg veel toekomstige nieuwe achtbanen met iemand zoals jij. Dit is echt een hele mooie fanmade coaster en de content was gewoon geweldig. Ze hadden voor mij apart dit beter kunnen doen i.p.v uurtje wachten voor een rit van 1 min 22 sec ( ongeveer dacht ik ) dit is meer leuker en denk ook dat meer jeugdigen hier ook wel iets in zien zitten. nice job :3 +1 voor mij in iedergeval (y)

Veruit beter dan het origineel! Ben blij dat ik hem nog heb kunnen downloaden. Heb hem inmiddels uitgebreid getest. Vreemd genoeg was het probleem met de muziek en het geluid plots opgelost. Knap dat elk bootje die soundtrack met zich meedraagt en het steeds zo mooi uitkomt! Is het verhaal dat wordt verteld in de eerste binnen-wachtruimte ook bij de echte attractie? Dat heb ik nl. nooit gehoord. Erg knap hoe je dat hebt kunnen integreren en afwerken, die wachtrij. Wat over het algemeen erg opvalt in de simulatie, is dat de muziek soms overlapt en niet helemaal synchroon speelt. Hoe komt dat? Is dat iets bewust?
Dat puntje van geluid heb ik ook op de houten achtbaan, die zelfs als je helemaal in de laatste loods zit, door alles heen klinkt. Geen idee of er een optie in de simulatie bestaat om de geluiden van buitenaf te weren...
Verder twee kleine puntjes; jammer dat er geen pad loopt van het vertrekpunt naar de houten achtbaan. Nu moet je wel erg ver omlopen. Hopelijk kan je dat op een of andere manier nog fixen in de vervolg versie.
Ik zag al dat je het ergens in je vorige reactie aanhaalt, maar de framerate is soms wel erg laag. Hoewel dat in het YT filmpje niet zichtbaar is, scoor ik op sommige stukken amper 15fps.
Maar absoluut congrats een welverdiende winnaar en een park/achtbaan die ik ongetwijfeld nog vaak zal bekijken!

Hoe heb je het schip op 4:34 gekregen. Is dit een projector ? En echt een geweldige baan!
Het is inderdaad een projector ofja, afbeelding welke ik met een lamp geprojecteerd heb. Ik heb een sterk doorzichting vierkant erachter zitten waar de boot echt opzit zeg maar.
Oke bedankt. Wilde zo iets ook maken allen wist niet precies hoe!
En zou je ook kunnen vertellen hoe je het hebt gedaan op 5:20 (ik neem aan dat het gewoon een lamp is maar hoe die vorm )

What is the coaster and/or car you used? If the car isn't from the game, where can I get it?

Can you put the link to all the scenery files? myself i am not very good at making scenery and i cant find scenery on the internet, or could you just send the links to the buildings and little details in the que!
+movieboysHD Sorry, all scenery has been made for this ride only. There are almost no seperate pieces made for this ride. For that reason it will not be offered as seperate download.
