My God, what a great song! I could never figure out how this wasn't the BIGGEST hit off of Vital Signs!! Every song on that album is great, and def the 3 other singles deserved the high chart success they got, but First Night soars above all of them imo!! Its baffling how this one didn't fly into the Top 10!!

I was in college in 1985 and my friend persuaded me to buy the Vital Signs LP as we wandered through our local HMV. He said it was great. It changed my life. I spent the following years discovering everything Survivor. Still loving it in 2019. That's the power of Rock'n'Roll.

Saw them open for Bryan Adams the summer of '84. I forgot how high Jimi sang. They were a tight band, really good. He was a classic rock vocalist.
Wow that must have been a hell of a concert Bryan Adam's is no slouch but there will never be another Jimi I love to watch his Japan show Wow was he hot and looks like he's having fun he was born to be a lead singer Still love him Crossroads Moments is an awesome album too

This is Awesome nice to know Beautiful Jimi looks great with glasses when he's not on stage Jamison gave Survivor a fantastic lead singer who wasn't just Beautiful he Loved to Entertain the world Wow he rocks leather pants great and I can see why he wears sneakers on stage He's a hell of a front man who works the stage encourages the audience to sing and. I sure miss music like this. Saw these guys live in the summer of 86, and it was the first time I heard this song. Sounded just as great live as on the album. Rest In Peace Jimi.

He was the greatest talent I have seen..I've never come across another artist that truly bring real emotion and feeling from their songs like jimi jamison did..he was pure talent..and a fireball of entertainment on stage..he will forever be missed but never forgotten..he lives on through his music

Aun que la banda no se inisio con el. Le deben todo a este hobre. Ojalá Jamo esté descansando en la Paz del Señor, no sé mucho de él como persona pero alguien que no buscó protagonismo en su vida artística y personal lo hizo un hombre humilde de corazón, sencillo y original. Lo que sé es que murió por una sobredosis de anferanfetaminas y tenía una afección cardíaca, me entristeció mucho ese actuar de él siendo tan amado pero nadie sabe las razones para que se hubiera quitado la vida. I dependiente de esa calamidad él siempre estará en mi corazón y lo admiro mucho. Por tal razón le pido a Dios que lo tenga en su Santa Gloria. RIP JIMI JAMISON. Pero una person que habia cantado unos dias antes de su cumple . Y mure despus de aver festejado con su familia su cumple, esa persona no tenia ninguna gana de sacarse la vida. Es que ya tenia problemas cardiacos muy serios.Se que tomo algo que se sentia mal segun su hijo que fue quien lo encontro muerto.Pero ese hombre tan maravilllso se que no hizo eso. Con esa mirada tan pura y sincera lo desia todo.Esta descansando de una vida ajitada. Y el como dije esta mas vivo que nunca y ya no sufrira mas

Holy crap..... these guys were KILLING it, in 1985. Jimi sounded shockingly good, and Frankie!!! Frankie could sing his ASS off!.... this is gold. Unfortunately, you can really hear a drop-off in the performances the following tour, but for this tour? Fire!
