Excellent video and thank you for explaining the process of citizenship and previous applications, it means a lot to a lot of people going through the same situation! Happy New Year 🎉
Another great, informative and helpful vlog Rob/Mel. Interesting what you said at the beginning about countries you can visit with/without a visa and how a British passport is a better option - is there an easy way to find out this info? Regarding referees for BC application - unless it's changed recently? - only ONE of the 2 needs to be 'a professional' on the accepted list, the other just needs to be over-25 (age) and hold a British passport. Before the recent massive increase in visa fees - around October 8, 2023 - we were looking at BC after my wife's ILR early in 2024, but that may now have to wait a while! We also have an issue finding a 'professional' referee...! Good luck with the BC application... 😁
Cheers ..👍 much appreciated initially we googled which countries are visa free for the Philippine passport holders. Then we chose Israel to see the holy land whilst we had the chance....luckily before they started to have a war.😅 I thought there was a massive increase in the fees around October. So I'm really glad we've managed to do everything before then... But just feel very sorry for everybody else following along. 🫨👍
Hi thank you for sharing your journey towards BC, Congratulations. It is great to know that after Mel had her ILR, couple of months later u then decided to apply for BC. My question is about the residency requirements, complying 3 yrs before the application which the Home Office says staying for 9 months in a yr for 3yrs before the application? Or is it the case one we had finished the 5 year route, and got the ILR, We can straight apply for BC? As i got confused by the length of time (residency requirements) before applying for BC. Hope you can explain further and clarify. Thank you both❤
