Great review. Appreciate how well you cover all the functions and give objective pros and cons. Very informative and helped me finalize my decision on the treadmill. Keep up the great work!
Your videos are very helpful and informative. I ended up here as I am doing research on thread mills to buy my very first ever unit and they are making things a bit easier for me to decide. Thank you! 😊
Good review thanks. I would of found it a lot more useful if you had covered the functionality of the console without iFit. What can it display? how much info is displayed at once? Is it user configurable etc.
Hi review Guru. Do you have any recommendations for treadmills that have accessibility features for the blind? My mother is legally blind and her 6 year old treadmill with tactile buttons is starting to show issues and were in the market for a new one. Unfortunately, most treadmills with good features come with a touch screen that she can not operate.
The Pro 2000 and Pro 9000 are very similar. They have pretty much the same frame. The Pro 9000 has a larger motor at 3.6HP while the Pro 2000 is 3.25 HP. Otherwise, the incline, cushioning, and overall feel are identical. The Pro 9000 includes a 22" touchscreen which is a substantial improvement over the 10" touchscreen on the Pro 2000. Unless you run all the time at fast speeds, you'll be hard pressed to tell a difference between the 3.25 HP and 3.6 HP motor power on the two models. We hope to do a video review of the Pro 9000 soon.
I am looking for a treadmill for basic walking on a daily basis. I need durability plus speed and incline functions. I don't need excessive features, touch screen pads, built in audio or access to training programs. I am specifically looking for a self-alignment correcting belt. I had to get rid of my previous ProForm because at my age I can no longer kneel to correct the alignment which was needed almost every three or four walks/workout. Can you or your readers suggest a treadmill that fits the bill for me? Thanks and best.
Ended up ordering this treadmill after watching this review :) Received the Treadmill today and having issues with installing cross bar to hand rails the provided #10 3/4 screws don’t go all the way in. Pretty bumped :(
I'm really surprised that you didn't mention that Pro-Form has downgraded the 2000 in many ways this year, in comparison to last year's model! Last year's Pro 2000 is 2 inches wider (doesn't sound like much but is so nice), and has a more powerful 3.5 chp motor. If you can get your hands on the 2020 model, do it!
Mine tends to creak a bit at the higher speeds if it's at a high incline, or it inclines or declines while running. I'm about 160 lbs. I ought the 6-year premier maintenance plan, though, so I know that I'm set for at least that long.
You can still access manual mode if you don't have an internet connection but you won't be able to access any of the "onboard" workouts because you still have to stream those through a free version of iFit.
Hello, love your videos! I ended up buying the 2000, one thing I noticed being the only negative aspect is that panel wobble a bit when running, what do you suggest to mitigate the “problem”? Other than that is perfect for the price.
Lots of positive comments, but would really appreciate hearing about those little 'niggles' you find out after you've used it for a while. Like motor problems a couple years down the road, electronic glitches, etc, etc. That would provide real value regarding a full-disclosure rating.
Your reviews are so helpful and I'm considering this treadmill, however I just realized the only place I can put it does not have an electrical outlet that the cord would reach. I'm new to this but can I use an extension cord?
Yes. We recommend using a heavy-duty insulated extension cord and securing it carefully so it won't get caught/tripped on. Don't plug anything else into the same cord or outlet and it's best to unplug it from the outlet when not in use. We use heavy white extension cords here in the studio and they work fine. We've never had a problem.
Be careful with the return policy because read the fine print before purchase they may be a $250 returning fee plus if there's damages you're looking at add-ons charges and the warranty as well
iFit is the parent company. Is the NordicTrack EXP10i the same treadmill as the Proform Pro 2000? They look identical, minus the frame upright bars go in opposite directions, and button layout on the screen are in different locations
The 2020 ProForm 2000 was larger and offered a bit more cushioning. The 2021 model is a touch more compact with not quite as much cushioning, but you do get an upgraded touchscreen and smaller footprint.
Depending on what you want to do with the machine, we would pick the Pro 2000 over the Sole F63. The biggest reason is the larger motor that will allow you to go on longer/faster runs if you'd like.
Hello, such a hard decision. I’m trying to decide on a treadmill that is quite and great for walking with incline. I live on the 3rd floor so a little concerned about that. I have 77 inch in length and I weigh 120. I’d like to stay around 1000$. What do you recommend? I did find this treadmill at Costco for 999$ with 1 year of ifit.
This would work. The Pro 9000 is also a great option and it has the new 22" touchscreen. If you can afford the upgrade, it definitely worth it, but the Pro 2000 is a good budget treadmill.
The Pro 2000 is slightly more powerful and has 3 grades of decline. In our opinion it is worth the higher cost especially if you plan to run or have multiple users in your home.
@@TreadmillReviewGuru Thanks for ur response! I just tried Precor 223. I liked it. I haven't tried proform 2000 so far. What do u think about precor vs proform 2000?
@@manishwatts1 The Precor 223 is $3000 and the Pro 2000 is $1500. It's hard to compare them because the Precor is double the price. It does have some nice features but in our opinion, it does not warrant the price tag. The Pro 2000 has a 10" touchscreen while the Precor 223 only has a 5" LCD screen. We'd recommend the Pro 2000 in a head-to-head comparison. However, that being said, finding the right treadmill has a great deal to do with how you feel about it. Our goal is to help people find a treadmill they will actually use and enjoy. If you like the Precor 223 there's certainly nothing wrong with it and it may be the right choice for you!
If you do not use the i fit. What can you do in manual mode? All of the speed and incline options? Are there preset options while only using manual mode?
Hello, I've really been enjoying your reviews, they're really the only enjoyable, comprehensive, and educational ones I can find. Issue is I live in Australia and some of these treadmills aren't available (ie. the Sole F85 2021 model is not available) and come at very different price points. As such, I've been looking at the ProForm Pro 2000, Sole F63, and Adidas T-19x, which are all just under 2000 USD. I'd also consider the ProForm Pro 5000 or NordicTrack 1750 though they are priced higher than I would like. The Adidas treadmill in particular I can't find much information on and I'm wondering if you have suggestions and know how it compares in terms of construction, cushioning, noise, durability, and warranty? Space is no issue and I'm not too fussed about any subscription guided courses, just need something for daily running & incline walking.
Our order of preference: Nordictrack 1750 ProForm 9000 Sole F63 ProForm 2000 We haven't used the Adidas treadmill, so I can't give you an opinion on that one, sorry.
The 2021 ProForm 2000 has a slightly smaller motor than previous models. It is 3.25HP which will support walking, jogging and a bit of running just fine. If you only have one user in your home and you plan to run between 6-9mph for less than an hour, you'll be fine. If you regularly run an hour or more at a pace that is consistently faster than 9mph, the Pro 2000 may not be powerful enough and could wear out with extended use.
I would try adjusting the leveling feet on the bottom of the treadmill to help with the wobbling. Also, if it isn't on a mat already, placing it on one can help keep the treadmill still.
I don’t understand what is your reasoning behind saying that it’s not good for marathon training. What is the actual reason I couldn’t use it for 4 hours straight?
@@TreadmillReviewGuru darn that would take it to the next level! Could you make a video if you haven’t about ifit on these treadmills? You could - but it doesn't offer as much cushioning or length as other models and over time you may find the constant use is taxing on the motor.
