      Yes the T2b haplogroup 😉. I am also related to many other nobles I haven't gotten the full list of yet. Cheddar man and 4 merovingians as well.

      Buffy Breeden That means that you and I are probably related too! And, who else are you related to? Who is Cheddar man? 😀🥰

    Axe and arrow-head have militaristic connotations? If those objects invokes militaristic feelings then I’d like to see these specific objects to see if they’re actually tools meant for violence, or tools meant for everyday activities like making firewood or hunting small game.

    This makes me wonder how many graves labelled as male are actually of biologically female individuals.

      This has been looked into, actually. Around the time there was a big stir around the subject of female vikings a number of pelvises from previous finds with militaristic grave goods were examined. Nothing to indicate female warriors was found. The whole situation was very... politically charged, and there were some major leaps in logic made on the part of some overenthusiastic researchers and activists (such as utilizing the word "viking" to describe the graves of settlers), so... yes, a very messy situation made very much worse by the behaviour of certain researchers, their critics, and (oddly enough) a publishing house called "Tor".

    There were viking women who were sheild maidens

    • @briansmusicchannel2998
      @briansmusicchannel2998 2 года назад

      Nope, shield maidens is mythology, not history. Don't take the show vikings as actual history dude

  • @MontChevalier
    @MontChevalier 5 лет назад +4

    Viking women? Please. Quit with the wet dreams. Those are all myths. There is no zero evidence to believe that this particular grave was of a viking warrior, or that this woman even had any experience fighting. For all we know, those could all be mementos from real warriors.

      Leopold: you should learn proper english before you make a post. "There is no zero evidence" is nonsensical grammar. Beyond that, new finds, plus proper examination of previous finds, prove you to be dead wrong. You should leave your misogyny off line, because it's pathetic, like your use of the english language.

      Edward Hayes You are an idiot who thinks you know everything. But, fact still remains.. you didn’t live back then and you don’t know. I’d like to see your degree in archeology or old Norse studies. Providing you have one. However, I can tell you do not. Because no one (no real archeologists) would ever speak in such certain terms. Because, you don’t know. People were people back then too. I’m sure there were women who acted as men, and men who acted as women, just like today. I don’t think anyone said there were whole armies of women warriors. However, it can’t be ruled out that there were some based on grave goods compared to others collectively.

      @@MrRaininginparisfran Bitch, if you see an army of men, you'd run. You can lie to yourself, don't lie to me.

    • @MrRaininginparisfran
      @MrRaininginparisfran 4 года назад +2

      Leopold Anyone who is outnumbered would run. If an army of viking women came in forcefully en mass to give you a flogging and you’re sitting on the porch in socks and boxers having a beer, you’d run too.
