When "I meet you" for the first time on youtube I see a serious man that was technically explaining something geometrical... but video by video I can see also that you where "happy-inside"... and in this video "surprise" and then your smile... that's the confirmation that you are a serious-happy man ... like pop-up books: creativity and paper engineering! Thank you again for your tutorial I love your channel and your book ... in english I can't write it better... I'm sorry
Thank you for your delightful message. You're right - I'm quite serious and happy too, I'm lucky. I think I need to try and get a bit more laughter into the videos!
Me parece increíble lo que se puede hacer con sólo papel! Me encanta como lo explica, paso a paso. Y es de agradecer también que responda a todos en el mismo idioma que le escriben. Muchas gracias!
I found this to be the most difficult tutorial to follow. How long is the strip with 4 scores? Why no mention of the parallel slits cut in the example? Sorry to be negative (and it's a cool mechanism!) but after two tries I couldn't replicate the example.
Apologies for being unclear! Each section of the little strip is 1 cm wide. The two parallel cuts aren't strictly important - they just allow the mechanism to move a little more freely. The measuring of the whole thing is a bit difficult - the key sections to watch are at 2.40 - 3.00 : 4.00 - 4.40 ; 4.50 - 5.20. Hopefully your third attempt will be entirely satisfactory!
The crease across the base divides it into two sections 10 cm and 15 cm. - You can see this at 1.21. The blue piece is 5 cm by 5 cm. The small yellow strip is made of five sections each 1 cm wide. If you watch the video carefully I hope it will all be clear to you.

I was really upset, that I couldn’t learn anything in this tutorial. The whole mechanism was hidden behind paper :(

Thank you. Yes a few more almost ready. And yes, Seasons Greetings.
Thank you. This is inspiring.
So, it is similar to a waterfall concept except only one piece is flipping over. Cool.
Laura Buehler yes that's what I thought, I like this guy because he shows us how to do this without the fancy dies., well maybe the first part lol
You are back ~~~❤️❤️❤️
how many folded rectangles from that small yellow paper did you glue on the paper? 4:30
The little strip of card has five sections - 2.10.
Terimakasih videonya sangat luar biasa dan sangat membantu untuk tugas akhir kuliah saya

Thank you so much for this!!
Can you make tutorials that are from your point of view? Like from where your eyes are?
Magnificent! Thank you
Es de lo mejor de youtube!!!!😊😊😊
Thank you very much!
You are glorious!
Is it possible to build a v fold that opens between the blue and yellow part?
Probably - I'd just try it and see if it works.
I like u r video.tanks.
Love it 👍
can you put multiple (for example 3)tabs on the part that comes out then flip over and you could have double the space for pictures (6)?
I'm not sure - I think a "waterfall " mechanism/design might do what you want. There are several videos on RUclips explaining how to make it.
Whats the measurements?
Pls.. answer me!!😚😚

Good art👌👌👌👌👌
Teacher 😊😊😊
he didint put the meashures explain at list the measures
Measurements at 1.20, 1.45 and the little strip at 2.17 is 5 sections each 1 cm wide.
Demasiado bello. Pero no hablo inglés, entonces algunos pasos no los entiendo. Mil bendiciones
Si necesita ayuda para hacer el mecanismo, tal vez un amigo podría ayudarlo a traducir.
Yeah!
Adop me plis ❤
