BM Color of the Year - Yay or Nay?

- We went back and forth on all the 2022 colors of the year for some time before making our final decision. Benjamin Moore got a turn this time. We really like BM Color of the Year, October Mist, but for our space, it seemed a little dark when we painted color samples on the walls for our particular room. We went with one shade lighter on the color swatch named Vale Mist and voilà, a perfect match for what we had in mind for our kitchen and open plan living area. That piece you redid isn't just "cute" it's GORGEOUS.
I know it's your mom's house so the sofas aren't going anywhere:))

Would you say that the Vale Mist is very pastel in person?
I want to recommend it to a client, but I worry that it might be a bit bright level wise.
It's looks wonderful in the video.
Paint colors are always so different in different lighting so I highly recommend that anyone who wants to ry it should paint a couple sample swatches to see it in their space.

All those windows and October Mist was gonna be too dark?
Too light.
Even though that room does have some big windows, they are all South facing so most of the sunlight we do get is at the end of the day as the sun is setting and the kitchen only has one small window so its much darker.
I think its too dark for my believes , so its not the right choice!

The colour is beautiful, however it is too dark for the space. Had you have gone one or two shades lighter it would have been much softer and a more relaxing space.
