Trent experiment should’ve been tried and tested way before Euros. If there’s no movement up top, how can he put a pass on which is why he’s in the team. Southgate tactics are too defensive and with the players that are available, this is wasted with the talent available.

Having the accolade 'Most successful manager since Sir Alf Ramsey' means nothing if you don't actually win anything. We have tried both English and foreign managers and they all fail to win the ultimate prize in any tournament. We had the 'Golden Generation' with the likes of Shearer, Lineker and Lampard et al, but we still failed. There is something to be said about the mentality of players and English managers we have in this country. Howard Wilkinson was the last manager to win the 1st Division in 1992, over 30 years ago, and last time England won a major trophy is almost 60 years ago!

If youre guna sit back for 70 minutes, it makes absolutely no sense having harry up to. But, again, england arnt as good as everybody makes out. If you want to play Kane up front, you need to either play with ONE pivot and a box to box either side threatening with penetrative runs, OR play with inside forwards on each side attacking behind the center backs from a wide position. Playing Kane, and then trying to get Foden and Bellingham to play tiki taka between a 3 CB line and midfield with strong ball winners like Højbjerg and Hjulmand is ludicrous.

Having the accolade 'Most successful manager since Sir Alf Ramsey' means nothing if you don't actually win anything. We have tried both English and foreign managers and they all fail to win the ultimate prize in any tournament. We had the 'Golden Generation' with the likes of Shearer, Lineker and Lampard et al, but we still failed. There is something to be said about the mentality of players and English managers we have in this country. Howard Wilkinson was the last manager to win the 1st Division in 1992, over 30 years ago, and last time England won a major trophy is almost 60 years ago!

I have the impression that coach Southgate may be suffering from depression - which leads to this anxious style of play. I can't explain England's style of play any other way. Great potential talents fizzle out because they follow the manager's instructions, among other things. Garreth steals the joy of football from the players, if only through their positioning on the pitch and the resulting "neutered" movement and running routes... I'm almost shocked because I had so many expectations of ENG (even though I'm a Spain fan)!
We English are used to seeing this bro. It's no surprise to most of us. He must be pretty proud though, to be the first manager to uncoach a national squad for an international tournament. Considering how diabolical England were....it's amazing Denmark didn't do more. It`s what happens when the manager plays his players out of their `normal` positions. They don`t know where they are on the pitch, so are completely lost.
The problem is definitely Gareth Southgate. When he was first appointed, I was shocked. He has no experience coaching a team. These few years as shown me that appointing Southgate was the worst decision ever. His team is totally unbalanced and the the important players are playing in the wrong positions. Yh same old thinking were so much better than we actually are. Weve got a couple of talanted players, like most teams do, but most of our defence is average at best. It also doesnt help playing trent as a 6. Mad. Our balance in previous competitions came from having kevin philips and rice in the middle. And harrys waaaay to slow and off it for a game like that. If youre guna sit back for 70 minutes, it makes absolutely no sense having harry up to. But, again, england arnt as good as everybody makes out. Yes theres some big names there, but they play for some of the best teams, with incredible teams.

If you want to play Kane up front, you need to either play with ONE pivot and a box to box either side threatening with penetrative runs, OR play with inside forwards on each side attacking behind the center backs from a wide position. Playing Kane, and then trying to get Foden and Bellingham to play tiki taka between a 3 CB line and midfield with strong ball winners like Højbjerg and Hjulmand is ludicrous.
