These were the good old days and the commercials were so cool and cheerful! Now at days ,the commercials are depressing! Bring back the cool commercials please !
This commercial brings me back to the 1980's. Mountain Dew was one of the soft drinks my parents bought home to wash down dinner with. We were NOT thinking of sugar, caffeine, and calories back then! Memories! This commercial gets me teary eyed! :-)
The old glass bottles were only 16 0z's, but they seemed so much bigger. The plastic 20 oz, bottles look smaller. Maybe it was because I was a kid then, and everything seemed bigger, ahem.
@HoldOnToYourDream actually their is a bottling plant in North Carolina that still puts Mountain Dew in glass bottles. It does not have the Retro logo but it has the new for the later half of the 90s logo I believe
@rockyraccoon1979 I agree completely. Recently I bought a box of Pepsi Throwback and immediately noticed how much better it tastes than the high fructose corn syrup that passes for soda today. I loved seeing the old Pepsi logo again, and I even saved the box and a couple of the cans. I have yet to find the Mountain Dew one. I'm sure it will be just as great as these wonderful old commercials.
gimme a mountain and nothing to do give me the sunshine gimme a dew gimme something simple and true all I need is sunshine and sweet refreshing Mountain Dew yeah gimme a river gimme a dew gimme my good friends gimme a dew give me the sunshine gimme me a dew
I remember when I was a kid, this commercial was so bad ass. And that dude was my hero.
Thanks for posting this. For a few seconds there, I was 10 years old again.
