I can't remember the last time I used press in front oil galley plugs, easy to tap and I put a plug with a 0.40 hole in the center plug to help oil the timing chain.
Just one observation, depending my mood it can be easier to install the cam before the roatating assembly. But I also do it the way you did sometimes.
Cam and Jeff how can I get the nasty idle my stock foxbody 302 had before someone moved the timing ?

Hi Jeff and Cam! Isn't a cam degree for checking the cam manufacturer did their job right with the correct grind and shipped you the right one you ordered? Making sure it matches the cam card? If at TDC and your timing chain marks are right you should be fine. Right?
Ditto… I was always told to degree the cam to double check that you were sent the right cam, the specs match the card, etc. We’ve all degree’d performance cams and used adjustable timing sets. Even on stock applications I like to degree one in just to make sure I know timing events. To each their own I guess.

Why do you have the cylinders labeled incorrectly. Fords are 1234 on the passenger side and 5678 on the driver side.

Would be interesting to see if Melling ground the 4* retard that Ford ground into the stock cam.
