I got an Ibanez RG8 a couple of weeks ago and it plays fucking great, Ibanez guitars and Warwick basses are my absolute favorite instruments, the gauges on my RG8 are as follows: 90, 60, 42, 32, 24, 16, 11, 9
Tuning: D1 A1 D2 G2 C3 F3 A3 D4, I also have an Ibanez SR405EQM I got March of this year, its an amazing bass but nothing beats the tone and feel of a Warwick Thumb for me, I tune my bass A0 D1 A1 D2 G2 with 130-45 gauge strings, I was the person who played the Custom Shop Thumb 5 and commented on one of your videos a while ago :), still saving up for a Thumb, amazing job and amazing playing!!!! I am a huge fan of your work :)

@@Halfpastseven you are very welcome :). I have two Ibanezes, my bass, and my guitar. Eventually I will have a Thumb. I'm still trying to form a band and stuff but I can't find any gigs in my area.

Is it me or are those thinner strings kind of slapping on the fretboard? B (or actually A or A#) string specifically.
Apart from that the sound is amazing - especially the those low growls.
Yes it has a little bit of fret buzz which kinda helps with the “zingyness” of the tone! Thank you glad you like the tone of the guitar! Will definitely be using this on future recordings!
