So hyped for this game. From the other videos and articles I have read I'm loving it. Things I want to know are all the game modes available. Also hope you can actually play your my player vs. AI pro live shot for shot in different game modes. As long as they keep the pay to win aspect out, this looks to have everything I want in a golf game
It'd a golf (game) ...there's only gonna be so much they can do...I just hope they add the Ryder Cup as an option as for myself that's the most exciting event in golf and Ryder Cup hasn't been utilised anywhere near enough in golf games games of the past
Maybe it was just me but i never used to mess with the weather settings and just left it on LIVE WEATHER... I'd love for that setting to be reintroduced!
Interesting , promising even. I’m aware that game trailers are always going to dress it up to the nines but it does look excellent at first glance. For me it’ll stand or fall by the online options. The lack of courses over a lengthy period could get old real quick but if there’s a good lobby system then it’s a winner for me. Cheers again for all your efforts Zane in keeping us fully informed 👍🏻
I like how theyre handling pre shot. I have always hated pre shot in golf games. Where the player is at address and youre moving him around, aiming. This looks WAY batter. Incorporating that in to the game is really important. It really helps the immersion.
just preordered,excited to see how it matches up with 2k's version.and im a big fan of 2ks gameplay for 23.so having another good golf game would be great.competition can only make things better for gamers.im very intrested to see how trackman is implemented,i am currently employed by trackman,im one of the 3d course artists.to see this data in a game will be very intresting. the only downside i can see for ea is the fact that they dont have a course architect.and it will be hard to compete with 2k,which has a very robust designer commuinity.thats the big draw.30 courses sounds good but gets a little stale very quickly.thanks for the content respawn and you earned another subscriber.thanks man ,keep up the good work.
Does anyone know if you will be able to create your own avatar? Do you have the option of removing the stands and galleries? Can you play Ryder Cup / President's Cup formats like 4 ball online with 4 players? Is there a practice mode where you can go out on a course, place your ball where you want with unlimited mulligans? Can you move your point of view to any spot on a course. When playing online with other people will you be able to see their avatars by the tee box, on the green etc. to make it more immersive?
Always enjoy your content, huzzah! What I want to see, may be trivial to most, is how to create your golfer. Physical look of your avatar. More body shaping than 2K please? More realistic hair choices? How big of a clothing and clubs option do you have? Also no mention of mouse play, sure hope that is in there or it is no dice for me. Safe to assume online play with friends will be there? Would be great if you could play in groups larger than 4 also but would accept 2,3 and 4 as well. The old Tiger game on PC had online communities, I was a member of the Clambakers. Was a great site with fun people and interaction. I'm sure a community similar to TGCT would rise if the game proves to be popular.
So heard that they are gonna have a 16-player mode for this game which could be awesome! Just golf, not something like Divot Derby. Also, I agree, I am looking for better character creation and a good career mode.

Well you know EA sports had the golfing and basketball and football back in the day, that was way before 2k came out. Tiger Woods game was EA sports, all the games back in 1980's. I hope they come back into video games.

It looks exciting. The simulation mode makes me wonder if there will be a third party wand to swing made to play like an actual golf simulator. That would be huge. I wish there was something comparable to the societies.
Everything about his looks really good... here's the problem: It's EA, so that means if you want more courses down the road, you'll most likely have to buy them. Not sure about equipment, clothing, etc., but from looking at the website and the things you get in the "Premium" edition, I wouldn't doubt if those things are locked behind a paywall as well.
@@marchmadness76 Do they? Besides gear, all the courses are free, all the upgrades are free, everything related to your golfer and how good they are are free. Now if you are speaking of season pass and the pro shop, yes, they do get you there.

Dozens of apparel choices, clubs, etc., are free which you can "buy" with in-game credits that you earn by playing. I'm not going to pay $60 for EA's game and then have to buy course packs when I get tired of the same 30 courses. Clubs and apparel? We'll see if they hit you with real money for those as well... we ARE talking about EA here.

Question for you…. It’s not regarding this video…. It’s regarding 2K 23 I find whenever I’m tied…Sudden death just automatically makes me the winner. Do you know if this glitch.. I’m playing career and I’ve never gone into a playoff when I’m tired it shows it’s gonna be a sudden death, but it always makes me the winner and I’m always tied with the other Cpu player…. I watch a lot of your videos. I really appreciate it. If you can give me some advice on this.
Scenery crowd and especially the players look fantastic , the big problem is the ball physics which to me look poor ; particularly at 9:12. Very much hoping that females are not included in career mode (only because its not realistic). Without a course designer mode though theres still very much a place in the market for 2Ks game

Feel good about the mechanics and stats, and their attributes and such Graphics looked weird though, might be the compressed video on RUclips as you mentioned I hope feel like this also rolls into some of the ball physics clips looking better than others, not sure
It is such a mixed bag. Some shots I am like, man this looks great, others I say "Is this made for the Switch?". I also agree that different shots look better than others.

They have stated that there won't be a designer so I do agree with you in that respect. They would have to release new courses quite frequently to keep the buzz up for it.
Maybe the swing looks slow and not very good because it doesn't support 60 FPS? Maybe this is 30 FPS gameplay. The game doesn't list 60 FPS as a capability in the Microsoft Store.

And to think I was wondering if this game was going to have an option for a 120 FPS mode only for it to not even have a 60 FPS mode lol.

Madden 23 which has the same engine as this new PGA Tour game has a 4K at 60 FPS option and a 1440p at 120 FPS option on the Series X. If the developers knew what they were doing then 4K at 60 FPS would be very easy considering there are a lot more moving parts in Madden. Also why would I want to spend $1000 just to get an average PC when I can spend $500 on a Series X which has HUNDREDS of games where I can play at 120 FPS. Not to mention the Xbox Series X is so much more user friendly, less likely to get errors and crashes, and much easier to maintain.

Historically EA have broken hearts with abandoning franchises and other things... but at first glance of this gameplay and the specs... this appears to be what I feared.. a 2K PGA killer. And with the disappointing gameplay bugs of PGA 2K23.. 2K/HB have nobody to blame but themselves. This EA game appears to have the important immersive details that 2K have decided not to implement in their game... 30 PGA courses.. all 4 majors. we'll see if it has game play bugs like 2K.. but I doubt it. 2K wont totally lose out because they have certain features to make people want to hang on (course creator and seemingly a better society environment) but their revenue is about to take a massive hit and they will be a distant no. 2.
No good for me, was hoping for a good simple 3 click like rory ea.. Too bad looks great but us 3 clickers not interested in stick pushing. Hot Shots golf was a GREAT game all options, had 50,000 on servers
The only problem with any ea sports games is the physics behind the ball movement and that's why I hated Rory 2013. Good gameplay ideas very unrealistic ball bounces and rolls and tbh this doesn't look much better
I think they both are good for different things. 2K physics is good but EA will prob play more like real to life with the specific courses. Hard to do that in 2K with 50,000 different courses. Glad you enjoyed it!
Interesting - no course designer is a big negative. How many courses are there to play? You will quickly get bored if you only have a dozen or so courses to play. I'm on the fence - it just looks a bit arcade like? It will have to be good to better pga2K23 thats a fact. Cya Doug
I agree that this game does look good physics and graphically. I just wish they would have at least added a course designer for user created custom courses. That is why I like 2k23 so much. My friends and I can always play a different trending course every time we play. That keeps the game fresh.
I don’t how true this is but EA wanted to release this game last year, but it got delayed for one year after fan QA suggested custom courses. EA agreed and pushed back the release
its EA, so free extra courses..well i dont think that is ever going to happen. otherwise its a wait and see, its easy to make a great preview vid but how it actually plays...
in battlefield 2042 the maps are free, so new courses that are added should be to. should be. Im thinking they will do something simular like season pass like 2k
I'll wait for the big 50% sale or better to buy it since I can just play 2k23 while I wait. That will give them time to patch the game a couple of times, maybe lol.
#1 priority is that there won't be 3rd party people who want to play GOD and screw over mousers with their API BS. It's just a video game, not life or death. Let us have fun. @Kilbride, You can easily guess who I am.
The multiplayer will be what makes or breaks this game for me. I have fond memories of playing ranked alternate shot in the Links series with my teammates. Since the Ryder Cup is part of this game, I'm hoping it will feature multiplayer team formats like alt shot and four-ball. That could keep me interested long after career mode becomes a chore.
Game looks great, as expected and fun but unless the online golf community embraces it I won't play it too much since it would take time away from getting better at 2k23 and climbing up the ranks of the TGC. The only thing that keeps the game alive for me is the interaction with others. As soon as TGC made the jump from 2k21 to 2k23 I could just throw 2k21 into the trash bin. Same with this game. What am I gonna do with this game? Play with a bunch of rando's... not a chance :)
one thing i wish they would do is bring to life the surroundings like the buildings and spectators but overall faaaar better than 2k, looking forward to this EA are the goats
Just another money making game, you have to buy a new console to play it. 2, You have to purchase the game , so far I’m out 600.00 dollars just to get started, there’s nothing wrong with my Xbox one x , so I will stick with pga 2k23 instead

Player models look better than 2K. 2K player models aren't great IMO. They're plastic looking.
I 100% agree. I’ve always hated how you tiptoe around adjusting your aim for shots or putts. This seems way more realistic.

Looks great but seeing all that info whilst playing a round i.e trackman, shotlimk data etc could get tedious

It looked like all the settings were able to be turned on and off so I am guessing that you can turn it off, but not 100% sure.

Which is why you buy it on Steam and play on Pc. You can get 120 fps or maybe 165 fps who knows, it all depends on your gpu.

The only problem with any ea sports games is the physics behind the ball movement and that's why I hated Rory 2013. Good gameplay ideas very unrealistic ball bounces and rolls and tbh this doesn't look much better

I think in some instances it looks good and in some it doesn't. Def need the game in my hands before anything concrete is put down.

I think they both are good for different things. 2K physics is good but EA will prob play more like real to life with the specific courses. Hard to do that in 2K with 50,000 different courses. Glad you enjoyed it!

i think 2k23 does mostly a good job there, i do like the gameplay.
Interesting - no course designer is a big negative. How many courses are there to play? You will quickly get bored if you only have a dozen or so courses to play. I'm on the fence - it just looks a bit arcade like? It will have to be good to better pga2K23 thats a fact. Cya Doug

I agree that this game does look good physics and graphically. I just wish they would have at least added a course designer for user created custom courses. That is why I like 2k23 so much. My friends and I can always play a different trending course every time we play. That keeps the game fresh.
Facts.
I don’t how true this is but EA wanted to release this game last year, but it got delayed for one year after fan QA suggested custom courses. EA agreed and pushed back the release

Over complicating it just leaves more opportunity for puerile to find glitches and exploit them.
Game honestly looks great. But it’s hard to back anything that EA releases. They will find a way to mess it up

its EA, so free extra courses..well i dont think that is ever going to happen. otherwise its a wait and see, its easy to make a great preview vid

in battlefield 2042 the maps are free, so new courses that are added should be to. should be. Im thinking they will do something simular like season pass like 2k
well at the very least visually it looks better than 2K. then again Live looked better than NBA2K as well.
I'll wait for the big 50% sale or better to buy it since I can just play 2k23 while I wait. That will give them time to patch the game a couple of times, maybe lol.
That's my usual approach. It also means that major bugs will be patched by the time I download it.
#1 priority is that there won't be 3rd party people who want to play GOD and screw over mousers with their API BS. It's just a video game, not life or death. Let us have fun. @Kilbride, You can easily guess who I am.

The multiplayer will be what makes or breaks this game for me. I have fond memories of playing ranked alternate shot in the Links series with my teammates. Since the Ryder Cup is part of this game, I'm hoping it will feature multiplayer team formats like alt shot and four-ball. That could keep me interested long after career mode becomes a chore.

This game looks like 2k 23 2.0 with better graphics. EA ripped off 2k obviously. I will wait to pass judgement.

Game looks great, as expected and fun but unless the online golf community embraces it I won't play it too much since it would take time away from getting better at 2k23 and climbing up the ranks of the TGC. The only thing that keeps the game alive for me is the interaction with others. As soon as TGC made the jump from 2k21 to 2k23 I could just throw 2k21 into the trash bin. Same with this game. What am I gonna do with this game? Play with a bunch of rando's... not a chance :)
one thing i wish they would do is bring to life the surroundings like the buildings and spectators but overall faaaar better than 2k, looking forward to this EA are the goats

Just another money making game, you have to buy a new console to play it. 2, You have to purchase the game , so far I’m out 600.00 dollars just to get started, there’s nothing wrong with my Xbox one x , so I will stick with pga 2k23 instead

The swing mechanics/graphics look awful. Very jerky movements.
