We watched this film together, and over the holiday weekend, while we were all preparing Thanksgiving dinner, I yelled out 'Plating in 5 minutes' and everyone yelled out, 'yes chef', which I followed up with "I love you all". We had guests over, that had no idea about the movie, and they had a 'wtf' look on their face. lol. Love this movie.

    Something about that cheeseburger that I like is it's obvious that he's getting really excited about the prospect just discussing it - he keeps it under his hat, but when Margot requests american cheese and his response is "American cheese is the best type for a cheeseburger as it melts without cracking" you can tell that internally his inner child is yelling "Well, DUH! What else?!"

    • @jed6780
      @jed6780 Год назад +14

      I highly recommend reading the original script, which has key differences with the final film. For example, the relationship between Margot & Tyler is completely different, the very ending is different (in a cool, interesting way), and John Leguizamo's character is Daniel Radcliffe playing himself! (the film chef hated is the widely loathed Victor Frabkenstein). The PDF of the script isn't hard to find online because it made the Blacklist of the best unproduced screenplays of that year. I read it in June and thought it was bonkers, clever, satirical, weird, and darkly funny.
