I don't know that I necessarily agree with her assessment that the show is too iconic to take liberties with the costume design. The controversy for the FOX "remake/tribute" from a few years ago notwithstanding, I find the creativity in how the stage play is re-interpreted fascinating. As long as a love and respect for the show is evident in the work, I applaud anyone that takes it on.
