- Special purpose soaps can range from artist's brush cleanser to laundry stain sticks to gardener's soap. This soap is formulated to clean (well, actually all soaps clean but this one is ultra cleansing) and deodorize while not drying out your hands. So join me as I explain what ingredients I chose and why they work best in this special purpose soap. I hope you give it a try. Be sure to tag us on Instagram at / soaping101 or use #soaping101

I have made this soap 3 times and it is truly Excellent, a great cleansing bar. this recipe fills 2- 6 round mold perfectly making 12 soaps. We all love it Thanks so much.
Best beginner soaper channel. Keep It Simple..short....and....sweet! Glad you are back. 😘
I use lard almost exclusively in my soaps, because it's cheap, it cleans well and pig fat is about as close to human fat as you can get. I don't add extra moisturizers, if I have over cleaned, a dab of lotion is plenty. My second favorite abrasive is oats, but my workhorse farm/shop soap has coffee grounds. I make a coffee reduction that I add in at trace along with fresh grounds. You can add coffee essential oils for even more scent. This is great for digging out deeply embedded axle grease. It does wonders for removing odors, too. Thanks for all your tips!
I use beef tallow in all my soaps, great stuff! Produces gorgeous soap
So glad to see these new videos from you, I got started in soaping almost exclusively with your tutorials, LOL! Thank you so much, really looking forward to trying this recipe! :-)
Thank you so much for some inspiration on how to use these ingredients. I didn't know about Orange rind. ❤
Love this soap, it's different!! Just a note, I believe the superfat in the recipe write up below the video should read 15%. 😉
I like the music in this video!
Love this! I appreciate you sharing you thought process and soap process with us!
Great minds think alike...I just set out all these ingredients to make the same soap. Great job.
Thanks for sharing your recipe. You are such a generous person. You are helping us so much.
thank you for continuing to make these videos!! Your ROCK!
I wish to make soap one day. Lovely video , thank you for sharing your idea
I love your videos. I have been watching for years and love your soap recipes. Wish I could get one of those bars. Do you sell them? 😊 Cannot wait until the next video. See you then!
It looks so pretty! Thank you
Can’t wait to try. Thank you

I’m new at soap making so can you tell me why you wanted to avoid gel phase? Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing!!!!
Wonderful!!!
Thank you tech
TFS! I've learned so much from your channel. Two questions: What temperature did you soap at (thinking about the oatmeal and honey)? Also, does the scent of the orange EO remain strong after saponification?
At room temperature (about 80 degrees Fahrenheit) and the scent from the fragrance oil remained strong in the final bar
@@soaping101 thank you for responding! I'd like to try this!
Great video. You mentioned unsaponifiables and this question came to mind. Have you ever experienced DOS from too much unsaponifiables in your soap? I make some of my bars with olive pomace, coconut, rice bran, castor, avocado oil and shea butter and a 5% supetfat (all from a reputable supplier and none of which have expired). I have read that olive pomace, avocado and shea butter contain unsaponifiables. Could this be the reason for the spots?
Thanks for all your videos. Would this also work for body odour?
It may be a bit too rough for the body.
Very pretty
my skin will not tolerate 5% sf , i always use 8% sf when i have olive oil and 30-33% sf when i use coconut oil ,
Brilliant 👍
Thank you for sharing ! i will love to try this one :) does it work for a car mechanic ?
It would work but for a mechanic you may want to include a bit of pumice.
Can you post the recipe please?
I haven't made soap in a few months
The link you have for your soap cutter only links to the beechwood cheese cutter.
I’m super interested in the heavy duty red one, and where to find such a behemoth beauty.
My mistake, here is the link for the red cutter: bit.ly/2Nl8TEx
Nice video! How many ounces of honey?
The full recipe is in the description below the video.
Soaping101 it’s not on the recipe. Jesus Christ, send fire
You are right, I just added it. 1/2 ounce
Nice ❤️
❤️ Just curious if you used fresh coffee grounds or grounds that were already used for coffee and then dried out.
I used fresh coffee
What is the batch size?
Well honestly. I don't know why it's so easy to avoid that soap circle. I saw a video the other day saying that she found it best to wrap up the soap after being poured and preheat oven and put soap in and turn off oven and leave it all night with a oven light on. I tried it and I think my first batch of soap was a disaster--I think it even boiled! The top gave me that suspicion, it looked boiled and on the inside it was all different round colours but I started with single colour soap. Is the temperature of the room that it sits in make a big difference? My kitchen gets cold at night so I thought the oven idea was a good one. Maybe not. Can anyone help?
This is just the soap I wanted to make. Can I ask if the coffee grinds are used or unused? I've read recipes telling to use either.
They are new and ground ultra fine
Does anyone know how many pound of soap this make? Or what size loaf that is? Thanks
The link to the mold is in the description box.
Does anyone have this recipe in ounces ?
Sorry couldn't quite hear or understand (I'm hearing impaired and there's no CC) what FO you used & suggested
I used a orange vanilla FO. I just turn on the CC, thanks for reminding me :)
Jots 'nTittles Might i suggest you use the ‘real’ thing - orange Essential Oil - better for your health than FOs, & add at Trace - not b4 the Lye, same goes for the honey - at Trace, and mixed with some of the allotted liquid Quotient. Please Note: Honey is only antibacterial if it’s Real Honey 🍯 ie not from a squeeze bottle (generally speaking - they are usually industrialized & rendered to ‘sugar water’ equivalents). // Personal preference of course, but whilst on the subject of Health, err on the side of Caution when it comes to TD... own ‘extensive’ research suggested ie exclude Soap ingredient Sellers here. // Anyone with Coeliac Disease should avoid & be cautioned against Oatmeal ingredients I love Soaping 101 for her commitment & education.
Does anybody know where to get the LYE solution? Thanks in advance.
The link to where I bought the lye is in the description box.
Can I use this recipe for a hot process soap?
Yes
@@soaping101 - thank you so much for the reply!!!!
eat the honey and the coconut
I thought you ha to wrap all soap and keep it warm
Only if you want to force gel. When using milk of any kind, it's better to leave it like it is as it heats up the soap batter.
Thanks
drink the coffee
