Hi guys! Thank you so much for being here ❤️
So, today is a collaboration day! I asked Jodie (The Painted Dreamer) if she'd like to do a collab with me, I love Jodie and her work is awesome.
We decided to use all of the same colours, Jodie chose 3 and I chose 3.
***The Painted Dreamer's (Jodie's) video link here: • #212 Bloom In The Ston...
If you haven't subscribed to Jodie's channel, please do she does some gorgeous art ❤️
I'm working on a 16'' (40cm) round canvas and I am doing another of my 'Aura Swipes'
Pillow/Base:
British Paints Interior Low Sheen house paint in White, nothing added.
Jodie's colour choices:
#TLP Pinwheel
TLP pigments, silicone stir sticks and silicone pour mats can be purchased from fluid-art.co/
Dioxazine Purple (I used Atelier)
Pebeo Iridescent Blue Green
My colour choices:
#TLP Hustle
TLP pigments, silicone stir sticks and silicone pour mats can be purchased from fluid-art.co/
Golden Iridescent Gold Fine
Atelier Copper
My pigments and tube paints are mixed with untinted (neutral) gloss house paint (water based) and Jo Sonja gloss varnish.
Please see video #92 for how I mix my colours (both pigments and tubes).
• (92) How I Mix My Pain...
Cell Activators (CA):
Atelier Rich Gold
Amsterdam Titanium White
They were both mixed with Aussie Floetrol, no silicone added or any other oils.
I never measure ratios, I mix until it leaves a slight trace when drizzled from around an inch above the surface. If I had to take a guess on the ratio it would be 2:1 or 2.5:1 (floetrol to paint).
My style has changed and evolved dramatically since I took the Sheleeart E-Course and I can't recommend it enough!
If you too would like to evolve your art and find your own style using knowledge gained from taking the course, head over to sheleeart.com.au/ and use my discount code of sheleeart15NDA to receive a 15% discount from the E-Course.
Add the code in the box where it says 'coupon code'
Once joined you will get access to the private Sheleeart Facebook group where Shelee hosts regular live video classes, your learning will be unending! The course is currently in the process of being upgraded and thus there will be a price increase, so get in quick before then as you will also receive access to all the new classes.
Please subscribe to my channel (it's free), also hit the thumbs up button (if you like it) and share the video with your friends. Please try and watch the entire video, I try and always keep my videos under 20 minutes. I have a tip jar, it's definitely not expected, but if you'd like to tip any small amount would be greatly appreciated and will go towards buying more paint supplies. Thanks in advance it's: paypal.me/Nikidfluidart
My lazy susan is glass and 20'' which was purchased from Coles supermarket, they can also be sourced from variety/dollar stores and on Amazon. The heavier the spinner, the easier it will spin, I'd also suggest you get the largest one you can so you can easily use it for larger substrates too.
My metal spatulas are artist pallet knives, they can be purchased from fluid-art.co/ or independent art stores.

Beautiful! I was just thinking about the beautiful cells at the bottom and wondering if you couldn’t transfer them to a smaller piece when you pointed them out! Love the colors!
Thank you very much Brenda 😀💜 I've tried before but they sort of break up and flocculate once they've been spun off
Absolutely love this one Niki!!

Another beauty Niki x
Thank you Cindy 😃 💙
Beautiful!!
Thank you Hana 😃 💙
Niki Ilove your rounds. So many vibrant colors. Must you use the Atelier deep gold for the cell activator to work so well and look that beautiful look
Thank you Kim 😃 💙
No, other golds work too; Amsterdam. Pebeo and Golden are all good.I just love the richness of the Atelier one
Oh, that is GLORIOUS! ❤ Amazing colors! Great technique!
Maybe you could save that gorgeous acrylic skin and use it in resin work? I hated to see so much beauty tip off, but yeah...too much paint and there goes A beautiful painting, cracked and ruined. Don't want *that!*
Thank you 😀💜 I scrape all the tipped off paint into a large container and use for coloured pillows when I have enough
Supér 👏👏👏👌💐
Thank you Adriana 😀💜
I love this piece. Just wondering about the comment 'pity so much spun off' - or something to that effect. I'm just wondering if there was a way to collect that and use it in a transfer swipe kind of way, rather than just scraping it off the side. I realise its more work, and more space needed etc. But it is a pity to waste such yumminess.
Thank you so much Lorraine 😀💜 I've tried that before but it always splits/flocculates when re-applied. I now just scrape it all together to use for coloured pillows/bases
Curious, why don’t you use a torch just quickly for the bubbles?
I do occasionally, but as there's varnish in the paints you have to be very careful as it's flammable. Also house paint can skin over easily.
@@NikiDArt Ohhhh I hadn’t thought about that! 🙂
😍😍😍👌🙋♀️🇫🇷
Thank you Marie 😀💜
What is the brand name on your spinner?
I've no idea sorry I bought it from my local supermarket over two years ago and it's covered in paint. They sell them in Amazon, glass lazy susans
I waited all day for live but I wasn't able to join in and I don't know why .. 😔💔
This premiered in June 2022 Carolyn 🙂

J’aime beaucoup toutes ces couleurs mais j’aime moins toutes les bulles et le plan de travail qui n’est pas net... bon courage...
Thank you, it's known as 'lacing' I do show exactly how this piece was created :D
Title doesn’t fit the finished pour…..Selah
I think it does 🙂
