The main difference is you can manipulate Drawing Objects without going inside it (eg. use the Eraser tool or change colours, etc). Otherwise they are pretty similar in that they keep things separate

The last bits of info was very helpful. I looked all over to find differences between Objects vs Groups vs Symbols, because these functions almost the same. As a beginner, I am confused which to use where. At least now I know a difference between a Group and Symbol. But it'd be helpful if you know any more differences , examples for where to use which one, and make a tutorial about it.

I am not sure if u use that one for animating but if u do, have you had any technical issues while animating?
I haven't used any of the M1 Macs for animation yet, so I can't say for sure. I've also been very interested in this though, I hope it goes well for you ✨
Say I have a symbol.... And I group the symbol...For some reason I cannot move the anchor point on the grouped symbol when I select it using free transform. Do you know why this is? Thanks!
What is the limit of groups you can apply? I want to group all the separate objects of a mandala, so they are separate and animate them. Is this possible in Animate? It's a bit more than two. Looking at maybe 50- 100
a symbol can be reused as many times as you need, as it is stored in the library, and also comes with it's own timeline groups have none of these things and have always been sloppily implemented in flash. it is bad practice in the long run to use groups because of their inconsistent behaviours you are far better off using symbols than groups most of the time

Don't think there's a limit. I'd recommend using Symbols instead for your case, it'll give you a lot more control

I'm not sure if they are different, but I use Break Apart for everything
