  • I'm a big fan of ATN. I've used their products for over 10years. From Night Vision to Thermal Imaging.
In my opinion, Thermal Imaging is a must to have when prepping your house.

I wish I had an extra grand to spend on a set. I will have to settle on a bright ass flashlight for now. :)

Interesting to note that NV won't penetrate the woods well. Wouldn't have considered that.

NV uses an IR light to help penetrate, However it works just like a flashlight and will light up the woods directly in front of you and just maybe a little bit into the woods. The Thermal will penetrate the foliage and will detect body heat. I have Gen 4 night vision and the thermal beats it hands down.
There are ups with night vision and Thermals. Thermal can't penetrate glass, but night vision can see through limo tinted windows with no problems.

Lol, they are a bit pricey, however they do have some that are less expensive.
Just being able to see what's out there lurking in the dark is worth getting the less expensive ones.
