We paid 2 Lari per person for the train ticket, which is approximately 1 Dollar according to the exchange rate in July 2023. The journey takes 4 hours. It's a route mostly used by locals, and there were no other travelers besides us. We loved this journey because we are very fond of Georgia's nature.
I love train journeys, it seems very romantic in a way. This did seem like an older train, but still very interesting to see the beautiful scenery go by. I enjoyed your video in full, like 10, thanks for sharing!
The Batumi bound train looked really smart. Not quite so modern on your own train. You cannot argue with the price of your tickets though. We have enjoyed many train journeys and really like seeing the landscapes we traverse in relative comfort. Georgia looks really attractive. The station facade at Borjomi does look quite elegant. Nice journey.
It must have felt like a trip down memory lane! And it was surprisingly cheap, about $1 for a 4-hour ride, and the scenery outside the window during the train ride was also beautiful, so it must have been a great trip!
