Anakin saying "Ive heard that before" to the "I will not fight you" is a throwback to Return of the Jedi when Luke says it to him. This is the first real hint/clue that this really is Anakin and not some dream or something else.
The „I won’t fight you“, „I heard that before“ is from Luke in episode 6 as he said that first line to Vader. So Anakin is conscious of these events and his time as Vader. Now he truly is the chosen one. Balanced in light and dark. He can now swap between them.
@@SharbtursGameCorner I don't think this is true at all, just by definition. Balance by definition would mean an equal balance of light and dark. I think OP is correct here.
She was a CHILD in the Clone Wars. Seeing it like this is kinda jarring. Realizing that in the last scene we see her in there is how old she was when she defeated Maul. It's incredible to think about!
Luke's and Ahsoka's conversation in Mandalorian didn't seem like their first, so I assume they've told each other Anakin/Vader stories. His redemption *must* have come up. But Ahsoka didn't particularly react to Anakin's comment here, so it's likely Luke skipped that detail.
7:45, 12:53 Yeah, according to “Bespin Bulletin” there was a fight scene shot between Anakin (as Hayden Christensen) and Ahsoka (as Savannah Steyn instead of Ariana Greenblatt, at least for that scene) on Mustafar in an alternate-reality-like setting during the "world-between-world like" moments, which they said was cut from the actual episode. In that scene Anakin would have showed her that she couldn't have changed his fate to become Vader even if she were there at that point, which would have taken away a lot of her guilt of her not having been there and not being able to save him, resulting in the now more light-hearted Ahsoka. They cut that scene, maybe cause it wasn't really a memory and/or cause Anakin's message/lesson was a different one? Though I still hope they would release it as a separate video on YT or sth like that, cause I would really like to see what that scene (and Savannah Steyn as Ahsoka) would have looked like and it also explains a bit better imo why Ahsoka is more enlightened and happy at the end.
This probably one of those "leaks" where they film extra stuff just to throw off the online rumors. They did similar things for Game of Thrones and some other major series.
Jacen if he is anything like the legends character he gets his name from may just be on the same path as Anakin Skywalker. Jacen Solo is the character that inspired Ben Solo in the Disney episodes and just like Ben did when he became Kylo Ren, Jacen Solo fell to the dark side and became Darth Caedus.
5:04 Actually I believe it's a reference to Luke in RotJ. Because in Rebels Ahsoka says, "I won't leave you" not "I won't fight you". 7:45 And that's why you shouldn't read "leaks" because they're almost always bullsh*t. 22:47 It's a RotJ reference for the reason listed above.
Imagine if it wasn't just a force vision and they were actually jumping through time and one of the clones were like wait didn't we just see the Jedi over there?
ahsoka is now a jedi kight. i take her training as her jedi trials. like with luke, anakin, and kanan before her. she was a padawan when she left the order.
It's a good point about 'fan service' giving fans what they want to see instead of what we got a lot of in the sequel trilogy and some of the writing in these past shows (parts of Kenobi, but not all of Kenobi). When Star Wars is written in a way that respects the fans knowledge/experiences of it instead of just giving people who have no real investment in the lore a chance to 'write something new' it tends to work out better for the reception of the show. Andor was the one amazing exception we've had to date, and that's cause they had legit experienced writers doing what they do best in a manner that still fits the Star Wars univierse.
Thanks, Larissa! 👤 The actor who played 'young Ahsoka' is *Ariana* *Greenblatt* who you might remember as 'young Gamora' from AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (2018) or as 'Sasha' from BARBIE (2023). #LarissaZeeuwe #StarWars #DaveFiloni #Ahsoka
A lot of the stunts Dave Filoni pulls are fan service - and I don't mind either. ^^ But the scenes in this episodes were crucial for Ahsoka, to grow as a person, to finally overcome that one unanswered question that haunted her since the Clone Wars, and since she had to confront Vader in Rebels.
Let’s be real… the real reason Hera can’t go isn’t to do with Jacen. Under no circumstances should we unleash our favorite war criminal Chopper on another galaxy!

This was more a love letter than fan service. Love letter to Lucas, Hayden, and the fans.
and to Akira Kurosawa, the title is a translation of the film Kagemusha (also produced by George Lucas)
"I'm not going to fight you" and "Yeah, I've heard that before" comes from Episode 6, where Luke said, "I'm not going to fight you, Father."
5:01 Luke also says that to him in Episode VI.

Ahsoka said she wouldn't *leave* him in Rebels. It was *Luke* that said he wouldn't fight him. You're not the only one to make that mistake.

True, but not relevant to the mistake most reactors made.

The "I will not fight you" line is in reference to Return of the Jedi. Luke said the exact same thing to Vader then.
