The only salvageable star wars sequel is the first one. And only cause it brought back and it felt like we didn't have that for years. But then we found out we were tricked. I agree with you. The best thing from the star wars sequel is Kylo Ren. His character arc was next to amazing.
I absolutely love Avengers Endgame. Avengers Endgame in my opinion is The Return of the King of Marvel movies and a phenomenal ending to the golden age of the Marvel Cinematic Universe although Spider-Man: Far From Home was fantastic. Game of Thrones season 8 for me was not as bad as everybody. While not in same level as Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part two, The Dark Knight Rises, Avengers Endgame, Samurai Jack season 5, Breaking Bad season 5, Better Call Saul season 6, Avatar: The Last Airbender season 3, The Legend of Korra season 4, and Doom Patrol season 4, it was not as terrible as the finale of Dexter or Lost. I still love Game of Thrones season 8 from what it was. In fact, I love all the seasons of Game of Thrones. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker while not perfect I still enjoy it and had a fun experience. Dark Phoenix was not really the true finale to the X-Men film series. Logan is the true ending to the X-Men film series. I hope Stranger Things will have a brilliant finale just like Return of the King.
I think people are being too hard on JJ the only reason Palpatine came back was because Rian Johnson ruined everything and killed Snoke in only the second movie
If anything that was a good move, they should've set up Kylo to be the main villain instead of remaking the og trilogy's premise of "manipulative big bad with an apprentice that turns back to the good side". I think people were to hard on RJ, at least his movie had some nuance to it, though poorly executed...
I truly should've given up with all of this franchise nonsense as not only was it the end of a decade, but the year that Hollywood was able to capitalize on it to release their finales and I should've taken advantage of it and focused on smaller films, than what bloated messes we ended up getting onwards, lol.
Dark Phoenix was not a finale in any shape or form. The series is still continuing with the upcoming Deadpool/Wolverine movie and The Marvels mid-credit scene just teased at a new main-line X-Men movie. No offense, but why did you even list this?
It’s more of a personal ending for me. I see it as the end of the mainline fox entries in the series. it’s not the official end ofc all of the topics mentioned weren’t, I see them as capstones to their respective sagas.
2019 definitely feels like the end of era. We don't have a word for the time yet (like Gilded Age, Victorian Times, Cold War era, etc) but we'll get there eventually. This change is certainly evident in the moviemaking industry - the end of big franchises, a final breath from standalone films (Uncut Gems, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Parasite, etc). Of course the following year the landscape of movies would change forever with the advent of COVID and the rise of streaming. Only time will tell where we end up.
It was only appropriate since it was also the end of a decade so what better way to wrap up certain franchises by going all out. I should've been done with most of them once they came out, but like an average consumer, I kept going but I did quit the MCU after Thor: Love And Thunder so not too far in their future content.
As someone who is 31 this year, it’s definitely because you’re becoming an adult. Years move by faster, and it still feels like it’s “around” that year that was actually 5 years ago Your next existential crisis will come in a few years, when you realise the generation after your generation is starting to turn 18.

@@solarcry287You’re right, at least Rian Johnson was trying to make something new and different and not trying to be like the old Star Wars movies.
After Tony Stark snap in 2019 the 2020 is different like there's covid 😢

So fucking true!!!!!!!
2019 was only 4 years and 3 days ago, you can't just take years regularly

@@TheGoldenPlatoon757 Okay, stranger on RUclips.
@@Horrormaster13 Thanks, don't mention it, lol.
Bro TLJ and TFA are trash, the fact you think they’re anything worth defending turns me off from your channel entirely.
Damn, lmao.
