I spent the whole day wondering whether it was too soon to make an Alec Baldwin joke. Thank you for stepping up brother. (the only tragedy is that the cinematographer he killed had more talent than the whole Baldwin family. A humble boast, but true nevertheless)

I am a female gamer, and I major eye-rolled when I saw almost all people in power in this game, were women, and if that wasn't enough, you also had a sprinkle of trans in for good measure. I very much doubt that a South American revolution would be governed by women and the lgbtq people.
Exactly. Its invading all of our damn media. Video games, movies, tv, music, etc. You cant watch a commerical with a straight white couple anymore. They have to be LGBTQ or bi racial. Like the new batman movie, literally all the moral characters except batman is a black person and every other crooked politician or cop are fuckin white! Also they black female mayor says Bruce Wayne wasnt an orphaned because he was rich and has white privilege so he needs to give to charity to repent for his whiteness more or less. Its disgusting that the liberal agenda and propaganda is being shoved down our throat even though we dont care. I just hope we get back to normal because I dont like being told I'm an oppressor because of my skin color or gender. Something has to be done.

I’ve only been playing for about 2 hours and already very disappointed with the total lack of fear and intensity. I hate how the game is showering the player with weapons, allies, transportation… and tutorials. Just got the option to “call for a vehicle with a trunk full of ammo” and I hate it. I want to feel utterly alone, desperate to survive, scrambling for weapons, running around searching for vehicles. It’s depressing how everything is handed to the player from the get go. Almost threw up a little when introduced to the workbench and the guy said: “This is a safe space, there is no wrong choice.” Maybe a joke. Maybe not. I don’t want to be in a bloody safe space - that’s the entire goddamn point of these games! This isn’t Far Cry. This is Don’t Cry. This is Don’t Try. Most importantly: This is the definition… of failing the assignment, completely.
hey buddy theres a thing called playing a game for fun not for fear or intensity, this is a fun farcry the story is weak but the gameplay is strong, the game was never advertised as deep or thought provoking just a good time, you judging based on something it never wanted to be is unfair.

They just used his fame to sell their shitty game. Cyberpunk was guilty of doing this too with Keanu being one of their main selling points. It's manipulative and dumb and this is why I tend to avoid games that use famous actors as their poster boys.

One of the most glaring insults to the actual citizens of the country this was based on is that it makes zero mention of the ideology that made it all happen. Everything to not insult the wrong side.
Yeah, it makes zero mention that communism is what turned it into the great country it used to be, it's such a shame that the devs took what is a good concept and just shat all over it to appease the right because they can't stomach hearing that communism exists.
i thought so too. they should have made them commies with hammer and sickle, gulags and all that. i would have got free pr from the usual suspects on twitter foaming from the mouth and calling it "Nazipropaganda" lol
For the last 3 Far Cries the leave ending has been the best so far: Far Cry 4: Wait for Pagan Min to come back from torturing, and he will give you what you want and you join sides with him. Far Cry 5: Don't arrest Joseph Seed and leave. Far Cry 6: Leave Yara on a boat and chill on the Miami beach listening to the radio talking about how the rebels have been defeated.
Well look around you buddy, most of the people in this country are a joke. We're about to have a president that has been impeached multiple times and incited riots. If I was ubisoft I'd make games that were a joke too. Today's gamers don't deserve good video games because many of then are bad people that think they're good.

Fully capable, just not allowed to. No AAA dev is allowed to. AAA video games must fit 3 criteria. 1. Push the political agenda, blatantly or covertly 2. Make money, preferrable recurringly 3. Be virtually free to make, nothing but recycled assets and a 3 hour story development process

In the first 30 minutes of the game Clara says the "The American Dream doesn't come in our color" all while her friends are being shot and killed by a totalitarian government regime for being outside at the wrong time... The irony in that statement while defending Yara is so ass backwards and ridiculous that I immediatly hated her character. So when she shits on America while simultaneously living in a far shittier, more dangerous and less opportunities to make a living Yara it hold no weight and comes off as completely disingenuous. Shes a moronic hypocrite, end of story.
Something that the annoying chick Clara or whatever her name is said, made me chuckle: “The American Dream doesn’t t come in our color” - Her, a Spaniard green eyed aristocratic chick trying to play with the native Caribbean fighting against the “evil” Castillo. I swear sometimes Ubisoft deserves to be bought by the Chinese and put to make games glorying things like national pride, Chinese racial purity, family values and anti LGBT messages. That will be the day when I laugh loudly.
Lol wtf. Is that seriously in the game? Perhaps the next installment can be something like this: You play as Baptiste, a Haitian migrant struggling to get to the southern border of the United States and away from the suffering of your homeland, as it is constantly wracked by natural disasters and human incompetence. As you fight your way through the tedium of long bus rides through Mexico, you finally make it to the border. Then you cross and get on a different bus provided by the government, and it takes you to St. Paul, Minnesota where you immediately qualify for Social Security benefits and disability benefits, due to the mental trauma. The additional dlc would be filling out exactly three forms to begin your quest for chain migration. The end.

I was actually super-impressed with the launch trailer, the one with Castillio, his son, and the hand grenade. That was fucking amazing. The instant I found out I wouldn't be working for the guy, I lost the few tiny shreds of interest that the trailer generated. And as for Ubisoft's endgame... well, I've been calling all their releases "Ubisoft Sandbox Game: The Game" for years now.
Same for a few months there I was really excited and thinking it would be awesome this time but then I saw a trailer where your super model character is slaughtering commandos with her tin opener slingshot and rooster side kick and I remembered who it was that was making this game
I found this game absolutely amazing, the game play, the graphics and the story were all fantastic. But I feel that I must confess that ive been in a coma and bedridden since 1996,and it's the first game I've played since waking up.
Kudos to Ubisoft for figuring out how to have players play as champagne socitards while fighting against commitards while exploiting corporate crony "capitalism".
next thing they'd do will be making a pedophile look human and forcing us to sympathize with them, just like Naughty Dog did in TLOU2 when forcing us to like Abby the ma'am
I'm a spanish native speaker, half of the names in this game make zero sense or sound extremely off. Specially when they mix and match spanish words with english ones.
Thats actually quite an interesting observation Germo. I dont actually speak Spanish but something was slightly off with the whole Hispanic theme and dialogue tbh. The characters kept saying things that didnt sound authentic. The best way I can put it is that it sounded like a Brit trying to pretend to be Hispanic?
@@21Kiloton They really do feel off. Something like Colinas Plains means Hills Plains, I know they might be plains named after a guy named Colinas, but it sounds really off regardless. Good for a laugh tho.
@@GermoDante Being a native English and decent speaker of Spanish, some years ago I heard of the concept of 'Spanglish'. I was intrigued, naively thinking it would be some kind of interesting morph... but no, of course it was just a mish mash of words from both. However, in music, the different rhythms and accents of the two languages, juxtaposed, can produce something different and vibrant, in the hands of a skilled writer. I agree with you.. I don't see such a skill displayed here.
@@GermoDante I think I know exactly what you mean. I got to experience a similar thing with Mankind Divided and Czech. The game had some legitimately good performances that were clearly written and performed by native Czech speakers, but then there were the location names where someone clearly just took something that sounded good in English, threw it into Google Translate and then ran with the first result it spat out.
I'm probably in the minority as someone who really enjoyed Far Cry Primal, probably because I found the setting (and increased focus on and presence of animals) a refreshing departure from the usual Far Cry "island nation shenanigans" setting. I know it didn't end up being very popular, but at least they tried something a little different with it. I wish they'd take more chances like that instead of churning out asset flip sequels like this.
Far Cry: Primal is actually my favorite entry in the franchise and it sucks how grossly underrated it is. I really wished it would have became a sub-series, starting back up with Uii's daughter and I feel like people only hated it because there were no guns to mindlessly shoot with.
Totally agree with this statement: " it's a horrendous, preachy, woke, incoherent abomination, with terrible combat, ridiculous weapons" The "wokeness" It burned!!! Have to love how a handmade automobile brake oil reservoir (or whatever it was) silencer can be rated better than a factory machined and turned silencer making a weapon look totally ridiculous. {Subscribers +1}
Yea i noticed that to, i was like "the fuck? These suppressors are literally fuckin made for this but some bullshit oil can is better?" And to this day i refuse to use them on any of my weapons, i like the weapon customize options, dont like the story but for me the gameplay is solid due to my love of stealth, at least armor piercing headshots still one tap UNLIKE FUCKIN SHOOTING THEM IN THE CHEST EIGHTEEN TIMES
You're so right about the gun system. I totally get it that an armored enemy might either take a lot of normal bullets or fewer armor piercing rounds, but it doesn't work the other way around. They should have made armor piercing rounds rare and/or expensive to get, so that the player doesn't want to attack non-armored enemies with them. But making a bullet sponge is easier to do and to balance without extensive testing.
What makes this so funny, is that each FarCry game gets more and more boring due to being the same old game with a new story and map, so sales are going to drop with each new addition, but to really shoot themselves in the foot, they made it an Epic exclusive. I guess they figured sales would be poor, so they took the exclusivity money as guaranteed revenue, rather than risk it on Steam (and of course, having to contend with all of the inevitable negative reviews, not to mention SteamCharts giving an indication of how many people are playing it).
I find it really sad now how games are almost treated as a get rich quick scheme with epic. Games used to be made with passionate gamers, who genuinely wanted to provide the best gaming experience possible to other gamers. Now its like studio/publishers go "ah fuck it" who cares if we lose 1-2m potential customers? Our game's already technically considered a success anyway after getting 100m from epic so fuck em" They prefer guaranteed short term gains with severely lower sales and negative customer feedback. Just seems backwards to me. Money comes and goes when you make good games. But consumer trust isnt something that can just be bought back after its lost. Its really sad to me that some of these games are made by teams of super passionate artists. Then their work is horded and locked away because all that matters is some guaranteed money. So many new games now I basically have to act like they dont exist all because I dont want my library of games split across multiple launchers. Making it hard to remember what games i actually own.
@@johnsullivan937 The artists working in these companies are passionate, it's the management with their salaries linked to quarterly bonuses based on quick launch day/ week/month sales who screw everyone up.
Making FC6 an EGS exclusive is the most pointless thing about Ubisoft strategy. If die-hard Ubisoft fans want to give Ubisoft more revenue share from selling FC6 (for some reason), why tf would they buy it from EGS where Ubisoft takes 88%? They would buy the game from UPlay where Ubisoft takes 100% of the money.
@@johnsullivan937 I mean those types of artists still exist, I for one would be passionate on what I choose to create. I take my time with creations like art, screenshots, and writing. My main stay was video games though, it got me through some hard times in life, days that I thought "I'd go to sleep, but what if I never woke up?" thoughts. So if I were to make any type of media, I'd put a lot of thought into it like "what hasn't been done already or is a dead part of the industry?" It is a shame to see the state of video games now, it's starting to come full Hollywood circle. Stuff constantly being thrown out effortlessly to rake in dough, or just remasters/remakes that are just blatant cash grabs, I believe this is the dark ages of gaming, nothing new seems to be brought to the table, like cod imo, some games just feel like reskins of the previous one so I never saw a point in buying the annual releases if the current game would just die in a few months. Point being, I just feel like we're in a time loop or something, the same half-baked games releasing, and rereleases like skyrim and gta v every 2 minutes. It's surely a sad time to be a gamer.
it is purposeful and sinister the stuff this game propagandizes to you while claiming to be non political is an attempt to engineer people into thinking that its talking points are so unquestionable and true, that they have exited the realm of politics and have become fact. you can see it with transexualism where people will claim it and anything about it is 'not politics' and not up for discussion
@Thomas Sullivan It's just all the conservatives that are SEETHING that the devs put women in their video game, how dare they honestly, it's 2021, can't have women in games!
Why is it that many shooter game developers lately think that your barrel and suppressor should be glowing orange after only shooting a few rounds? When I was in the US Marine Corps we shot hundreds of rounds out of the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW), and yes, the barrel will get hot (in which case you swap out barrels), but I never saw it glow orange.
Here’s how my Far Cry 6 experience went: I made it to about the second region to be liberated when some guy yelled “I’M TRANS IN YARA!!!” And I said… “Yknow what? I like Giancarlo Esposito. If El Presidente wants to oppress you, let him. Best of luck, El Presidente! I’m gonna go play another game.”
When I first heard that line, I was thinking two things; 1. That sounds like a you problem, bucko. 2. If you're gonna go anywhere, stay the fuck out of my United States of America. I've got too many degenerate pansies like you running around as it is.
Yeah a trans in a game is not that bad but when they put a trans person in a game to say "Look guys, we arent homophobic, we love diversity". It would be great if there was a reason other than that would yell that.
As much as I loved Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon, all these sequels retroactively make those good games worse, since they play exactly the same, so you don't even get the nostalgia kick when you go back to them, because the instant you start it up, you are hit with the "I literally just played this game" feeling.
You hit the nail on the head. For me, Far Cry 3 was virtually unplayable after finishing Far Cry 5. The latter had some minor, but still improvements and Far Cry 3 felt incredibly generic and just worse.
it helps me playing Crysis 1-3 and Far Cry 1 and 2 and then you go "ah wow, this is janky, I'm missing Far Cry 3" and ONLY far Cry 3, NOTHING else after, 4 through 6 doesn't exist, you are only focusing on the Jankiness and glitches of the Crysis games and Far Cry 1 and 2 and then 3 feels new again after playing those games for 24 hours, it's pretty good reverse psychology, at least for me it is, I'll never forgive myself if i grew tired of Far Cry 3, (because in my deluded mind, nothing else AFTER that specific game existed, ah, all good)
I think 4s progression was better than 3...it takes a playthrough or 2 to realize in 3 you have to speed run until you bone to get all the good perks and really have fun with the game. Otherwise you do almost everything and only truly enjoy the game as you play the remaining couple hours as you've unlocked everything trying to unlock your trees and just building up points. I like 5, but I think they streamlined it a little too much. May be easier with multi-player which is great for 5 and 6. Miss the syringe element. Having to fast travel for perks in 6 is cumbersome.
37:56 I know what you mean the stealth in far cry 5 had this problem and I’m absolutely sure. I sniped a guy with a suppressed sniper. Nobody saw, nobody heard. 20 seconds later someone found his body and the whole outpost ran to the exact pinpointed location where i shot that guy from, I wasn’t there anymore but I saw it, and it broke all immersion.
@@lukethelegend9705 respectfully, you’re missing the point. Yes they found the body that’s fine. But how do they know exactly where I was from a dead body I was a good 60 meters away
I played through this game twice and put it away. It was so unremarkable that a few months later, I saw an ad for it somewhere and I was like "Oh yeah! That came out! I should try it!" and I checked my library and was like "Oh... Yeah... It DID come out, didn't it."
The 2 categories of enemies, those that need to be shot with regular or armor piercing ammo, remind me a lot of Wolfenstein - Young Blood. The concept didn't work there and it doesn't seem to work here either. Maybe developers should take a hint and just scrap this idea.
You don’t even need soft target rounds, armor piercing works everytime even if they don’t have armor. It’s probably there just to be there, and makes no sense what so ever.

I can't really argue against anything you've said, but I still had my fun with the game. Mainly because with an FC game you already know what you're getting. The pandering SJW-ness only got to me a couple of times, namely when Castillo supposedly "owned" the American journalist by going for the low-hanging fruit about slavery in the US or the rapping "couple" and their annoying lackey from Mexico. Being of Mexican descent myself, I just...ugh, didn't like his bit parts at all.
Fair enough mate. Every time I dunk on a video game, I get DMs from people saying "Im really enjoying it!". Literally without exception.... even Fallout 76. I would note that there is definitely something broken about the "authenticity" with Far cry 6. Native Spanish speakers have commented that the place names make no sense, like they were invented by someone Anglophile, one person mentioned Google Translate, and some of the weird dialogue references just sounded "off" to me. It's hard to explain but one time I met someone from abroad who legit thought Brits only ate fish-and-ships wrapped in newspaper, asked if I had met the Queen, and was disappointed that they hadn't seen any Beefeaters (and they weren't even in London). I get this vibe from Far Cry 6.... like its built more on stereotypes and tourist guides, and none of the writers have ever been further south than Phoenix. Anyway, I wont judge you for liking it. I didn't see the point of one of the faction characters being trans. That character looked and sounded sufficiently masculine and had that character not said they were trans, I would not have known. Plus with all the problems and human rights abuses Yara has in the game, the character saying they would face adversity for being trans felt unnecessary compared to the fear of death or enslavement faced on a regular basis in the game world. They also bring up these odd sexist themes with the bad guys. There's a scene with the female Admiral you have to fight in a cutscene with the dictator big bad character saying to her that the female Admiral was a token female hire. That makes no sense to me considering the enemy soldiers you kill en masse are both men and women. My character's bullets are equal opportunity. The female Admiral is following the dictator's directives to oppress and loom over the general population just like a male goon would. Why bring up "You're a token girl, be grateful." as something to actually say?
Id like to believe that the underlying moral to that scene was "you hire people based on their competency at the task, not based on whatever superficial features they have that would score you woke points with the masses". But then again, its Ubisoft.
The real bad guys are your hipster allies... On a serious note. Ubisoft have turned into woke beta developers. Creatively bankrupt. Building immersion killing worlds full of illogical characters that don't make sense in the scenarios. AND at that they are losing talent. And can't code as well.

Not if you keep throwing your money at them it won't. Notice the way they all go off trying to insult you and blame you whenever some woke or feminist trash doesn't do well? That's because they NEED an attitude adjustment. They think it's up to them to tell you what you want, because they think we need them. But, we do not need them, they need US. And it's not up to them. They need to be reminded of that. If it ends up as the real video crash then F it. If that's what it takes, because the quality keeps dropping, so they can give us unfinished over priced garbage, because they were more concerned with "ethics" than anything that actually matters. And we know, we already know what they're after, which is games as a service. It's happening because people are become more accepting of it, they're getting away with a little more each year as people accept it like "that's just how it is now". Because you let them get away with it! Is it really not worth closing off your wallet, and putting the controller down for a while, in exchange for an increase in quality?

I think the funniest part of the game for me was near the end. When the 'Libertad' revolutionaires are seen on their boats coming to Esperanza (capital of fictional island) for the final takedown of Antón Castillo. The game I guess was trying to make them seem badass or intimidating, like "look out, Castillo, they're coming," indeed there was a cutscene where a general is trying to persuade Castillo to flee the country over their impending arrival, but in the end this group in the scene consists of a trans individual, some fat dorky radio guy, an old man, etc. I can't see anyone being worried about this group coming, much less armed soldiers.
Two things came to mind while watching this. This game is so clearly written by like, rich white first worlders. They can't comprehend that oppression isn't arbitrary. Between having someone maybe, in a rare occasion, of which you can seek legal retribution, say mean words to you, and literally having death squads gun down your family, a bunch of empoverished South Americans would pick not thinking like Twitter. Because they're under actual oppression. It's not arbitrary, they don't get to block the ""fashusts"" or to just ignore the words. You can't ignore a bullet. And honestly, out of all FC games to have a suspicion system, this is the worst one. In FC5, your character literally only wore casual clothes (Ignoring the stupid Microtransactions, of course) In this, you look like you're a bandit or scav straight out of fucking Borderlands, with this futuristic handmade apparel.
What I really don't understand is , why do these publishers bring in major Actors like Jon Bernthal and Giancarlo Esposito, just to have them be the bad guys...? I really wanted to play as the Punisher in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. That would've been awesome imo
@@dylandevlin2102 Isnt it strange how when people complained about Farcry 4 being a reskin of Farcry 3 ubisoft changed things with 5 then people wanted things to be like 3 and 4
Yes FC6 has bullet sponge enemies. A mounted .50cal will not even knock them back. At distance, it is as if the bullets are passing through them. Also, poisoned enemies are significantly stronger against bullets of all types. Yes, you read that right. Ubisoft thought poisoning an enemy and then shooting them was "too unbalanced" of a mechanic, and simply made them stronger when poisoned.
This review is 💯 on point. One small detail I noticed that you did not mention. The main character Dani has a Latin Kings tattoo, which is a gang tattoo. Making hero’s out of society’s trash.
Interesting. I like how the game was designed for the girl, but let you be the guy with all of the girl's dialogue making it AWKWARD!!! sometimes in cutscene dialogue. And they didn't even subtitle change his Dani to Danny...maybe it's a span-ish thing. Which I'll say because the dialogue throw Spanish in 1 out of every 30 words...okay 5 to 30.
@@bakerfresh they actually don’t use proper Spanish pronunciation with at least one very key word. Gorila is pronounced with the L it’s not Gorria like it is in Farcry 6.

The more i listen to your review the more it sounds like they were allowed to implement what THEY wanted , not what players actually want . We need much older developers back to make these games as this game especially feels like it was made by a team based on personal choice. I say that because look at the helicopter 🚁 thing .... someone just didn't like the fact that YOU as a player got to fly around and play they way YOU wanted. So they said NAH!!! we can't allow them to do that . This pandering to the weaker player nowadays drives me INSANE

UBI's been a woke company for some time. They always include that little pre-game virtue signalling/pandering disclaimer about how 'diverse' their development team is.
But they also made a mobile game where the bad guys are basically BLM/Antifa. And the actual workplace culture is full of actual real life misogyny. They're not even actually woke just have zero conviction and will pander to anyone they think will spend money.
All of the things your mentioning can be applied to 5 as well Wich I’m playing atm having previously only played 3 and primal. Is it the same as 5? (Wich I am enjoying regardless) Or is it significantly worse?
I guess that's why Ubisoft is moving towards a live service approach for their singleplayer games. instead of putting out the same game every year or 2 they will just release one game and milk it dry for the entire generation dripfeeding it ''new'' content.
Whats amazing to me is that anyone still wants to do Ubisoft type content. Their games have all been the exact fucking same since like AC:Brotherhood. I get that these game are, by their nature, repetitive, but how can anyone honesty say they are having fun doing the same shit for a decade?
Cheers for the review brother, I still play Fallout 4 and as a surprise I have started the new Pathfinder game and I cannot let go of it. I am still waiting for something AAA to be worth the time investment ;)

@@camraid9 a little bit, but I like it. Honestly I spent a lot of time playing with the different classes as I am learning the mechanics of the Pathfinder world. But yea, you have multiple choices related to NPC's and companions as the story unravels. Much darker than Divinity and I like the word better, closer to Baldur's Gate and the like. Even if the ruleset is a little bit different.
I'd love to have a sequel to Far Cry Primal, where the objective is to simply build up a village, like in the first game, but a lot more expansive, and where you're also required to build defenses, and traps, and at times other tribes attack you, where your defenses are tested. You can also train your villagers, and assign them certain tasks, like hunting, gathering, etcetera.
I absolutely loved primal and it blows me away how much people hate on it. I've replayed it a number of times, and yeah I wish there was a franchise there in it's own right. I thought they could have had a better array of prehistoric species but beyond that it's in my top three far cry experiences, with 3, BD, and primal all roughly in the same spot.
I agree that Anton Castillo was literally the best part of the game. Sadly, he only got like 10-15 minutes of actual screen time in a 50+ hour game. What a missed opportunity.
The Belgian FN FAL shoots a 308 at 2,460 foot pounds of muscle energy with capabilities to be fully automatic coming out at 700 rounds a minute TLDR that gun will destroy anything in front of it, Ubisoft doesn't know what they're doing
10:18 Jesus, that is one of THE worst things I've ever seen, for multiple reasons. 1. Le badass feminista 2. beta cameraboy 3. Zebras are literally spawns of Satan, no joke, they're some of the most dangerous animals in most zoos. 4. That Zebra has zero concept of a firearm or the consequences 5. The Zebra only started bucking like a horse when she got on, but didn't attack her when she was leading it in? 6. After bucking like twice, it's now fully tame because it suddenly understands that a gun means insta death? 7. Does it even understand the concept of death? 8. What the fuck? The Caiman is far more believable than this, and if you think otherwise, learn about Zebras and how they survive on the plains of Africa with Lions, Hyenas, Honey Badgers, etc. I live with Caimans, there's one in the drain right in front my house, they're bitches that are afraid of literally everything, they're only like Crocs and Gators in appearance. Just this ONE scene, has completely turned me off from even pirating this game, Ubisoft will never get another cent from me, and I won't even play their woke games anymore, let's see if that woke crowd that never plays video games will buy your video game, since you like bending over backwards to appease them whilst stabbing your loyal fans in the back.
Not to dismiss your points but you are sort of viewing the scene out of context. The 'zebra' is actually just a horse painted with zebra stripes, which is supposed to be a joke in that scenario. Still doesn't take away from the cringy aspect of it but yeah
I really enjoyed 3,4,5. This one isn’t nearly as cool. I have played it for a few hours but I don’t really desire to play it like I did the older games. The “island” theme is a little lame and old.
You realise the island theme is there signature, tradition and to many, the selling point, it’s the series identity. Most people find this an improvement on FC5, including me.
Thank you Mario! And you are very welcome. Glad I spotted you actually, reminded me about something. I just sent you a DM on Patreon mate. I hope you and your family have a lovely weekend mate.
I honestly wouldn’t mind the game if the enemies weren’t bullet sponges to an insane degree. I thought it was bad in FC new Dawn, but 6 cranked it up another 200% over that game.
The good ole' Farcry issue of "fuck why can't I fight alongside the supposed bad guy" returns again. Haven't played a Farcry since 5, but I remember that in Farcry 4 everyone wanted to join the Royal Army and kill the Golden Path rebels with Pagan. Along with this no one wanted to destroy the radio towers because the rebel radio was awful compared to Pagan's propaganda radio that actually made it seem like a combat zone. Then, in 5 I'd say they had a breakthrough where I was happy to help Hope County against the Cult, even though the Cult radio was the better option by far.
My main concern over the purchase was if it was even worth it, if the game was just going to be abandoned like the alcoholic father's son, I remember when far cry 5's arcade was active for like 2 days then it was just radio silence. I know all games will die eventually, but in terms of ubisoft's games, they feel short-lived. And there's no editor so I can't see some crazy ass map creations that other users would have uploaded, that's what discouraged my purchase, as there wouldn't be a point to the game after you've beaten it or than just being the psychopath of the town but even that novelty wears out eventually, I may just hang onto my money and buy some more indie games.
No mate. Mainstream publishers wont touch me with a shitty stick. A few small indie devs have offered me free copies, but I insist on buying my own copy (and not ended up reviewing them)
Bad gun mechanics in games can be attributed to people who hate guns but need to develop them for the game.... despite not knowing anything about the guns or why they hate them.
"Ubisoft Open World Asset Flipper" this might have been just a joke, but think about it, It could potentially be the best game there is. Imagine Garry's Mod, but instead of the ancient Source Engine, you get their engine and access to all of those amazing assets from across every game. One can dream tho. In the meantime I really hope they're not going to make a FC7.
I'm about two hours into this game. I don't think I can bare it anymore. It's just Far Cry 3 all over again. Done it, seen it, experienced it all before.
The unfortunate thing is, the idea of having the player be a guerilla was great, not many games do that. They even mention a previous revolution that sounds far more interesting than what we got. It should've been that the protagonist was El Tigre and the story took place in the 1967 revolution. They should've kept the game grounded, no animal companions except maybe a dog. No supremos, no bullshit gear system, no mini map. Resources should've been exceedingly rare and gun jamming should've been an optional setting. Above all else, keep the woke agenda out of gaming.
I'm so glad you broke down some ballistics to explain how much more powerful rifles are than pistols. People have no idea. And BTW the pistol you were showing is a Makarov which shoots 9x18. Basically a juiced up .380
Fun fact about the power of a .50 bmg, it doesn't even have to hit you to instantly kill you. It travels so fast and the round is so large it can pass your head by like up to a foot and still liquify your brain and pop your eyeballs out just from the shockwave. That's real shit right there
No offense, This is completely false bud 👊🏼 I could sit here and explain all the scientific reasons why it doesn't actually do this, but I'm lazy. So I'll tell you to watch Demolition Ranch where he shoots his 50cal through a house of cards.
The more I play this game, the less I like it. Honestly this may be the one far cry I don’t play completely through because the story is just way too cringe, and that’s saying something
Same here, Steven. I'm about a third of the way through, and unusually for me, not taking every moment to get back to a FC game. As much as FC5 and ND have been slated by many, I much prefer them to this mess, and I was really looking forward to doing the 'Far Cry' thing in this setting too, having visited Cuba three times. But the weapons - and especially the messed-up clothing power-ups - wow... the idea of spending five minutes going through your travelling walk-in wardrobe to select the right gloves, hat, trousers, underpants (ok... but why not!) etc, which completely takes you out of the moment; words fail me! That's not even mentioning the other things which 21Kiloton points out. I've played FC from the start, at the start. This is a major disappointment as far as I'm concerned and the FC games are my favourite games to play.
The vehicles and enemies can literally spawn within like a 50m radius .I’ve watched watched whole trucks just spawn. In the same spot thrice. UBI games are so frustrating because they look so realistic but the implementations of their gameplay mechanics take you out of the game and remind you so clearly that you are playing a game, and not like in a fun way. Their mechanics tend to feel like mods rather than designed mechanics that ground you.
Y'know, based off 21Kilton's review of FC6, I kinda have the urge to re-download Blood Dragon and play that instead, and save myself sixty quid in the process. Hell, I'll take FC4 over the mess this franchise has turned into, tbh.
Ubisoft shits out another piece of crap but this time enlists a well known actor you rarely even get to confront until the end to appeal to anyone who watched Breaking Bad. Improvised guns ya but somehow making that homemade weapon/attachment is somehow better than a actual engineered weapon or equipment
I would buy *_Ubisoft Asset Flipper_* at once. Think about the modding scene and what could be accomplished ...
Don't forget the Ultimate Edition, that way a year later, they can release another ultimate edition...
Yeah its pretty sad that releasing a template with all the assests since 2 would be the best thing released since 3
What makes this so funny, is that each FarCry game gets more and more boring due to being the same old game with a new story and map, so sales are going to drop with each new addition, but to really shoot themselves in the foot, they made it an Epic exclusive.

Here’s how my Far Cry 6 experience went:
I made it to about the second region to be liberated when some guy yelled “I’M TRANS IN YARA!!!”
And I said… “Yknow what? I like Giancarlo Esposito. If El Presidente wants to oppress you, let him. Best of luck, El Presidente! I’m gonna go play another game.”

Far cry 5 ruined far cry 3 for me
Absolutely
FC3 was so much fun when it came out but now that I’ve played the exact same game 4 times over it has just made it a whole lot worse
it helps me playing Crysis 1-3 and Far Cry 1 and 2 and then you go "ah wow, this is janky, I'm missing Far Cry 3" and ONLY far Cry 3, NOTHING else after, 4 through 6 doesn't exist, you are only focusing on the Jankiness and glitches of the Crysis games and Far Cry 1 and 2 and then 3 feels new again after playing those games for 24 hours, it's pretty good reverse psychology, at least for me it is, I'll never forgive myself if i grew tired of Far Cry 3, (because in my deluded mind, nothing else AFTER that specific game existed, ah, all good)
I think 4s progression was better than 3...it takes a playthrough or 2 to realize in 3 you have to speed run until you bone to get all the good perks and really have fun with the game. Otherwise you do almost everything and only truly enjoy the game as you play the remaining couple hours as you've unlocked everything trying to unlock your trees and just building up points.
I like 5, but I think they streamlined it a little too much. May be easier with multi-player which is great for 5 and 6.

Having to fast travel for perks in 6 is cumbersome.

You are very welcome Dodo. Sorry if its a bit salty by even my standards, but I honestly found it incredibly unpleasant to play. I even found myself thinking "I would much rather be playing Far Cry 5". Cant go wrong for £4 in a sale mind hahaha
@@21Kiloton you do what you do, and write what you think, and that's why I like your videos.
is pathfinder very campy?... I like dark fantasy
@@camraid9 Yeah I might have to check that out actually
@@camraid9 a little bit, but I like it. Honestly I spent a lot of time playing with the different classes as I am learning the mechanics of the Pathfinder world. But yea, you have multiple choices related to NPC's and companions as the story unravels. Much darker than Divinity and I like the word better, closer to Baldur's Gate and the like. Even if the ruleset is a little bit different.
Everything appealing about Far Cry for me ended with Primal.
Now THAT game deserves to be ramastered and polished up...
Best in the series and so underrated
I'd love to have a sequel to Far Cry Primal, where the objective is to simply build up a village, like in the first game, but a lot more expansive, and where you're also required to build defenses, and traps, and at times other tribes attack you, where your defenses are tested. You can also train your villagers, and assign them certain tasks, like hunting, gathering, etcetera.
I liked the game, but the premise is odd. Stood out when I replayed it recently.
@@c.a.6636 I idea of slogging through constantly respawning enemies completely put me off; I'm so tired of that.
The Belgian FN FAL shoots a 308 at 2,460 foot pounds of muscle energy with capabilities to be fully automatic coming out at 700 rounds a minute
TLDR that gun will destroy anything in front of it, Ubisoft doesn't know what they're doing
LoL, didn't think he would actually go into that...
10:18 Jesus, that is one of THE worst things I've ever seen, for multiple reasons.
1. Le badass feminista
2. beta cameraboy
3. Zebras are literally spawns of Satan, no joke, they're some of the most dangerous animals in most zoos.
4. That Zebra has zero concept of a firearm or the consequences
Just this ONE scene, has completely turned me off from even pirating this game, Ubisoft will never get another cent from me, and I won't even play their woke games anymore, let's see if that woke crowd that never plays video games will buy your video game, since you like bending over backwards to appease them whilst stabbing your loyal fans in the back.
the took the Nile cukman note
Okay I thought I was the only one going wtf during that ENTIRE sequence 🤦🏻♂️
Not to dismiss your points but you are sort of viewing the scene out of context. The 'zebra' is actually just a horse painted with zebra stripes, which is supposed to be a joke in that scenario. Still doesn't take away from the cringy aspect of it but yeah
it’s not a rl zebra bro calm down
It's not a zebra bro
I really enjoyed 3,4,5. This one isn’t nearly as cool. I have played it for a few hours but I don’t really desire to play it like I did the older games. The “island” theme is a little lame and old.
Same. 3 blew my head off, LOVED the character progression. 4 was great, it polished up 3s rough spots, and 5, for my money is the best in the series.
You realise the island theme is there signature, tradition and to many, the selling point, it’s the series identity. Most people find this an improvement on FC5, including me.
@@Jimmie92 I honestly thought the series theme was 'Average person gets caught up in a fight in a isolated country with no hope of outside rescue'
@@gagejohnathan9641 same difference mate
Kilo, you're still my favorite, haven't forgotten about you. Another properly done review! Cheers mate!
My brother in christ, were you using soft target bullets on fully armored enemies?
You sure ? I still play far cry 5 arcade with a lot of people till this day
@@wokhardtwizard9086 really? I could never find sessions tbh
Oh look, a reskinned Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4, and Far Cry 5, but more woke - and thus, more shitty.
Dumb question 21K but do you get review copies?
Ubi showing how much they love women in games while being sued irl for mistreating women is hilarious. Quite a world we live in.
I like how the game forces you to be assertive and ONLY be able to talk to someone WHILE looking at them.
Sigma Male Simulator
"Ubisoft Open World Asset Flipper" this might have been just a joke, but think about it, It could potentially be the best game there is. Imagine Garry's Mod, but instead of the ancient Source Engine, you get their engine and access to all of those amazing assets from across every game. One can dream tho.
In the meantime I really hope they're not going to make a FC7.
You can bet they will! Because money.
I'm about two hours into this game. I don't think I can bare it anymore. It's just Far Cry 3 all over again. Done it, seen it, experienced it all before.
Yep.
This series needs a reboot or something
That's real shit right there
The More You Know.
@@Archangelm127 lol
No offense, This is completely false bud 👊🏼 I could sit here and explain all the scientific reasons why it doesn't actually do this, but I'm lazy. So I'll tell you to watch Demolition Ranch where he shoots his 50cal through a house of cards.
This is actually not true.
I absolutely love this game
@@anthonywilliams0420 have you played farcry 2?
"He has his pronouns in his bio..."
Nuff said, this game sucks ass.
pronouns in bio, person is vile
@VidMasterEon Unironically. It's a dogwhistle.
Another Ubisoft game where the first few hours I say, it’s not as bad as people say, then it starts to settle in…
Y'know, based off 21Kilton's review of FC6, I kinda have the urge to re-download Blood Dragon and play that instead, and save myself sixty quid in the process. Hell, I'll take FC4 over the mess this franchise has turned into, tbh.
Ubisoft shits out another piece of crap but this time enlists a well known actor you rarely even get to confront until the end to appeal to anyone who watched Breaking Bad. Problem is Breaking Bad despite being very long had some excellent acting. In this the only one doing the good job was the guy the western woke culture deems to be evil lol.
Breaking Bad was only 4 seasons. I wouldn’t call that very long at all.
@@possumwithacowboyhat5140 Bro, Walter's wife was in OVER an hour of scenes. If you do the math, she made the show feel like it had been running for nineteen years.
