    This is the easiest way to calculate what position size you should use on a specific trade.
    My normal risk on a single trade is 2% of my total account value. There is math you could do that would probably take about 6 minutes to calculate what position size I need to use.
    The better choice... Use a position size calculator. They do all the math for you and tell you exactly what position size you need in order to risk a certain amount of $ on a trade or a certain % of your account on a single trade.

    The only problem with this is it doesn’t work for indicies, I tried to calculate for the Dow but it wasn’t on the list

      just divide by leverage and you'll get the margin

      @@lloydmzy If you want to place a 10 lot order with 100:1, your margin will be 0,1.
      10/100=0,1.
