Wolfsky9 Let this old Bama man tell you Ruggs is a better athlete, no doubt about it. But Jeudy was Bama's best receiver in 2019. Other were faster, quicker, bigger, stronger but the real reason being is that Jeudy worked on his craft more than the others. While others guys went to the club, Jeudy was running routes and studying film, and apparently he spent a lot time studying Jerry Rice.

Thanks @@AlexRollinsNFL I don't know if the ghost of Al Davis still lives at the Raiders, channeled by Gruden or Mayock, but if so then Jeudy may not be enough of a physical freak for the Raiders. Davis always seemed to go for the numbers and less the intangibles. Aside from occasional drops, Jeudy has excellent intangibles. Probably his excellent change of direction would measure in cone drills though.
Drops can and have been cured before. 49ers have done well in this regard under the current coaches, both at receiver and runner.
The good news is that there are a ton of talented WRs this year, and I'd be shocked if we didn't get one at 13, since it's an obvious need and we have no other day 1 (or 2?) picks. (Was sorry to lose E-Man.) On the other hand, I ALWAYS favor getting a great lineman. All play starts in the trenches.

What sticks out to me about Jeudy is his agility and top notch body control. Speed and hands are a given, but what he has over guys like DK Metcalf is the shiftiness and control to fake-out defenders, making him almost impossible to guard. Combine that with his speed, hands, and IQ, you might be looking at the next Antonio Brown (minus the crazy)

Please do CeeDee Lamb of Oklahoma. Is he really a future NFL Hall of Famer. He looks good to my inexperienced eye so I am curious to see if his play stands up against your expert scrutiny. This was a excellent job enjoyed your Isaiah Simmons focused analysis of the Clemson tape. Now I see why when Dobbins was injured in the playoffs and that saftey was tossed from the game for helmet to helmet contact with their quarterback why the momentum of the game swung from Ohio State to Clemson university. Dobbins play was the only one keeping Simmons from dominating the game.

I’m going out on a limb and saying that his yards after catch will not be nearly as good in the NFL at first. His moves are based mostly on being much faster and more agile than the defense. I’m sure that the NFL has a few DBs quick enough to completely shut down these types of stop/go moves. I played sports in school with a kid whose go-to move was to fake inside and go outside and beat other kids with pure burst. Then he went up against a defense where his burst was their gentle jog. He was caught every single time and had a terrible game.
