What I think is amazing about this film, besides the plot line itself, is all the actors and actresses portraying A. Even though they are obviously all very different people, they keep A’s character consistent and you can really get to know A’s personality and see that it clearly shines through all the people that he/she embodies.

There's actually already a Korean movie with the same plot made in 2015: The beauty inside. I recommend it. Very emotional.
The meaning of the movie is beautiful. It shows that no matter what you look like on the outside you're still the same person. A could be fat, skinny, brunette, blond, girl, boy, but it doesn't matter because they're still the same person in the inside. Every day A looks like someone different but, in there heart, they're the same person. The same kind, loving person.

It’s such a good book!
This trailer is very similar to a Korean film, The Beauty Inside, which was released in 2015 but I don't know when the script was written or when preproduction started or anything like that. So either the Korean film was based off the book and this is the American version, or the Korean film was a coincidence. Besides, not many people have watched or will watch the Korean film and it will be interesting to compare the two.
The trailer is similar to Beauty Inside but these two are entirely different (based on the book) the book dealt with a lot of teenage issues, gender and sexuality, abuse, depression, addiction, beauty standards, stereotypes, finding oneself and taught a lot of lessons. Tbh I think the whole romance was just a plot device to introduce all the other important issues that comes with growing up while beauty inside was more focused on romance. Don't get me wrong but I've seen the film (beauty inside) and loved the book (everyday) when I read it at 16 so forgive me if I find it incrediblely insulting for David's book to even be insinuated as a copy cat
i just came home from the cinema and the only thing i can say is that the fucking ending crushed me. like, i’m so sad for A because he/she always has to make sacrifices and will never get to be truly happy... this is one of those movies that you watch and love but never want to see again.

let me clear this up for everyone. “the beauty inside” korean movie is a remake of the 2012 version also called “the beauty inside” that was released on aug. 16, 2012. the movie trailer you’re viewing right now is based off of the book “every day” by david levithan which was released aug. 28, 2012, just several days after the the beauty inside. NEITHER of them are copying. both of them just had similar ideas that got released 12 days apart from each other
Thanks, this makes so much sense. I really loved the Korean film. And this one looks good too. More for American audiences and younger generations. Though I do like the Korean film for not centering on high school kids and rather on adults

Romantic movies are usually not my thing and they can't touch me. But this one.. it actually did. I finished watching it 20/30 mins ago and I am still wondering .. what the hell happened. This story is so beautiful and original and i am so in love with it was a whole. It touched me so damn hard and I cried at the end, even tho it didn't finish they way I wanted it to, it was worth watching and totally not a waste of time.

I love how this movie passes you a huge and strong message which is: no matter who you are, what gender you are, you can fall in love with who you ever you want ignoring the appearance and what others saying... You would do everything just to be with the one you really love and want to spend the rest of you life with them.

Ashley Marvin of course the book was way better but I’m just glad they actually made a movie cos that was unexpected af. I was like you... I was gonna stop watching it but I kept going and damn even if I knew how it was gonna go and the ending it still made me cry. It may not be an amazing representation of the book but that’s as good as it gets.

This is literally my favorite book ever, I can't believe it's a movie now, I'm so happy and excitedddd. The story is so beautiful, it shows how Rhiannon treats him (or her) differently depending on the body he's in, and I remember this part where A said he couldn't understand why the body he was in mattered, bc it was always still him, and it was so different and inspiring to see things from his perspective. Someone who never had a family, a friend, someone; someone who never really WAS someone. It's crazy. Also, I was so surprised at the end, I can't even remember it without getting emotional lol aawww

I got sucked into this trailer immediately. I saw it before another video I was watching, and my eyes were glued to the screen. An original teenage romance movie, based on a novel, unexpected, something that has never been done before. Definitely seeing it in theaters, if I can. If not, renting it the second it comes on Amazon.

I just feel like it could never live up to the book, which is one of my favourites of all time. the whole message behind the story is having to lose someone you love because its the right thing to do. so much of that idea is so beautifully exhibited through A's first person storyline in David Levithan's novel, and I genuinely don't think the film could convey that as effectively. this adaptation seems to be more focused on Rhiannon's perspective, more like the sequel Another Day. I'd like to watch this to see how it compares to the book, but I'm almost certain I would be disappointed.

In the movie the people who are “possessed”, for lack of a better term, their entire day is just a blur and they barely remember anything about it. They do think it’s suspicious that a day of their life is gone. Some people think they must have gotten drunk, while others blame being possessed by Satan.

Remember the scene where they open the fortune from the cookie and it states "you have a nice smile" Then later in the end the guy she ends up with says the same thing to her. 'YOU HAVE A NICE SMILE" So this was the fortune which came true. :)

I read the book more than a year ago and I just finished watching the movie a few mins ago and omg it was beautiful. It made my heart happy but also broke it. I’m just glad they made the book into a movie. I’d recommended people to watch this, you’ll learn a lot and see a different perspective of what life is. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I loved this book more than almost anything I've ever read before. It has a great meaning to it, an awesome story line and is written so beautifully. I came across a photo of the movie while looking at something else entirely. I am so happy a movie has been made about it! If you liked the movie, you'll love the book even more!

Exactly. I hate it so much...because the book was amazing when i first read it 5 years ago. It taught me so much I was 17 then. And there were so many struggles of teens which I wasn't aware about like depression which I didn't fully understand. But this book was just wow...it was so insightful. It came out with fault in our stars and I was so disappointed this book for me wasn't as recognize when it was so much more meaningful. The romance was something I personally did not like but it was necessary for the story for us to see all those little sub stories. I hope the film doesn't focus so much on the romance when it was about so much more. I love how it gave different perspectives it made me more open minded and understanding and it made me relate to teens and their struggles who I have judge quite harshly. Beauty Insinde and Kimi no na wa were great but really different stories and it just makes me so mad at all these "know it alls"

I've seen and read all like you did too, and like you I don't like to compare, but you can't tell people to stop giving their opinions, and my opinion is despite the different process between Everyday and Beauty Inside, the Concept of changing body everyday is same. and it doesn't help that both originated at around the same time same month in 2012, the Beauty Inside social film being first, so its not off if one is able to see something fishy in it. But at the end of the day for me be it same or not, it doesn't matter as I still get more content to watch. If the creators or rights holders have a problem with it, I'm sure they will handle it. And again that was my opinion that I am free to tell.

By watching the trailer it seems like the girl wants their relationship to happen and A doesn't, which is the complete opposite of the book. Also I think the ending of the book is not so movie-ish so they'll probably change that too.

This is a really good movie. You fall in love with more than what you see. The premise of if you had the experiences someone else had, you would understand why they are the way they are.
Even tho “The Beauty Inside” and “Everyday” have similar storyline. Are are also very different. The Beauty Inside, the main character wake up looking like a different person everyday. He have a mom and dad. He have friends and even a girlfriend who accepted him at the end. He have a home and childhood and didn’t change till he was 18. As for A in Everyday, wake up in a different body everyday. A is a guest in a body that already have an occupied and as long as A can remember this has always been A’s life. A can’t hold on to anything for more then a day cause the next day when A wake up, A is in a different body,a different home with memory’s of the host if A need to access it. Everyday, explores love in so many different form. I think Everyday is a great book.

why are people saying this is just a copy of the korean movie the beauty inside? that movie came out in 2015, while the book every day that this movie is based on came out in 2012
the korean version is based on a american film series of the same name which came out a couple of days before the book "Every Day" did. So neither are copying, both just had a the same idea.
this was such a beautiful movie! the ending was both sweet and heart breaking... I definitely recommend it!

Do the bodies this person takes over for the day have any memories? any recollection at all of what happens that day? Do they wake up missing a chunk of time in their life? So many questions
SPOILERS FROM THE BOOK. Okay so in the book, the person *usually* doesn’t remember that day, but it doesn’t affect them because they remember just enough. However, A gets sloppy and this kid wakes up in his parents car a few miles away from home so he tells people that the “devil possessed him”. A also later finds out that they can choose what the person he inhabits remembers about that day.

I am just in awe at how they made this wonderful novel into a movie..i hope the movie gives justice to the book... i am so happy my wish 5 years ago when i bought the book became true! 😍😍😍
