I'm chilean and I just want to clarify that he means he has never been sober there, in that market hahahah that's because that market it's well known for being a hangover cure spot. People party all night long and in the morning they go there to "resucitate"

Sonny, I am a Chilean and I am ashamed of the places that they took you to eat, they did not even have all the seafood and fish properly put on ice or cooked, it was disgusting all of them, I have tried them all because I grew up by the ocean and never the way they cooked or served to you, corvina fish is not Chilean sea bass, it is Mero Australian o Lubina

Actually, if everything was catched at night, it's quite safe to eat by noon. For example, in Italy most freshly catched fish vendors stay between 7:00 and 10:00.

Most of the employes in that part are caribbean inmigrants that do things their own, and apparently, unsanitary way, besides Santiago is not a reliable place to have seafood. For fresh and high quality sea food in Chile, people have to go to the coast towns and cities.

I usually never cringe during his or any food videos...but man, but that combo of the obviously dirty oil and the undercooked fish really took me by surprise...
@12:57 You can tell when he breaks it apart that it wasn't cooked all the way...That's why you usually don't cook such big peices of meat/fish like that, it usually takes way too long to really cook all the way through without it overcooking or burning.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a drink, but a type of ceviche. Ceviche can be served in a tall glass like that, and prepared in a highly acidic liquid. Especially given all the savory components, I'm willing to bet he was supposed to eat it with a spoon LOL.

I would like to know how Sonny is able to walk around and eat without a toilet strapped to his bum. I have the blandest foods run through me sometimes and this guy literally eats anything on the planet.
Dude eating raw SEAFOOD in a country without laws for food hygiene is just asking for it. I've eaten cooked seafood in vietnam and suffered... Raw is another level. When it is cheap like that and without ice and some sort of food hygiene practices is like i said just asking for it... I'm skeptical with raw seafood here in aus where our food hygiene is government regulated.. The risk to reward ratio is out of balance. Not only worms and parasites but just going to the toilet...
Chilean here. We DO have food hygiene laws, dude just decided to go to one of the known sketchiest, least regulated places that serve food: markets.
Sea markets, farmers markets, any market: folks from other countries please don't ever buy food *made* there. I LIVE here and I have never, and never do, buy food prepared there. Ingredients to make the food yourself are fine, food itself absolutely not.
From where I live, our markets are dry and clean even if it’s seafood, unlike here in this video. Full of decomposing seafood that’s not even on ice 🤢🤢
