Kristin Chenoweth! Musical Perfection in a 4'11" frame. She is the best there is. Kristin can sing anything and make it special. Pushing Daisies was the most delightful show. Kristin was so great in it. "A Song has no better friend than Kristin Chenoweth!" I watched Seasons 1&2 on DVD and I could not fathom why ABC cancelled this show. Wonderful cast, beautiful cinematography. Everything worked so well. Easily good have lasted 5-7 more seasons! Sad ABC. :( So Sad.
Yes the strike was probably what did it. Plus an audience had not yet been able to have been large enough to become it's voice. Sadly, another network didn't see the potential and pick it up. Kristin and the entire cast were so brilliant in their very creative ways. Such a shame. :(

Kristin mentions in her little memoir that at that moment, she was waiting during the strike to find out if her beloved show was coming back (she words it obvs much better than I do, so check that out too!) I love the girl, we saw everything she was in back in college and I remember it being sort of bittersweet - in a completely selfish way for me! - that she had moved to NYC and was on Broadway. There is so much talent in my state and I'm so proud of what good people they are, aside from the incredible talent. She really is as nice as she seems, from what I hear. Hurray! :) And so completely perfect as Olive. I can't imagine anyone else in that role and so love that she got to sing! (Can you imagine having that voice on your show and saying Nah, e don't need any singing"?? :0) Nope!
Kristin as such a sweet spirit. On Dec 8&9 I seen her Nashville shows. I got to meet Kristin after the show on 12.8. She is so gracious and beautiful. A pure delight to talk to. The Sweetest Lady I've ever met.
Relatable: I could sing that about incredible women such as her. Sensual too! I heard she's a spokesperson for one of the new Royal Caribbean cruise ships. As a travel agent who sells their products, it's great to know my beloved Kristin and I are "associated" albeit in an indirect way LOL.
I can see why Kristin pines for the pie maker- so adorable. But her pining is so beautiful, that it makes everything okay...The addition of Swoosie and David Arquette makes it all the more magical. (my apologies to the other actors- I only watched it once so I don't know who they are...)
How did you find the full version??? This is the only time I've ever heard her singing the entire song and there isn't a soundtrack for the second season anywhere!!

Where did you get that uninterrupted version of the song cover? I've been looking for that since seeing the PD ep. on video a couple of months ago. I think she was doing a better cover on the show before getting interrupted, but this will do at least.
