    Really nice content dude! Few smol things tho!
    1. The battery of this keyboard lasts approx 1100 ish hours if you don't have the RGB on (fair comparison with the apple one which has no RGB).
    2. Include a typing-sound "test" in the video. Many people (including me) like to see/hear those.

    I just got this keyboard over a week ago. Truely an amazing keyboard so far. It is great looking and incredibly thin. I got the clicky version, it is not loud at all. The click sound provides a great feedback and is pretty satisfying. Typing feels so easy on this keyboard. And it doesn't have issue like a lot of other RGB keyboard -- light leaking out from the gap of the keys. I also find the volume wheel very useful. So far, a great purchase.

    • @mpenntech368
      @mpenntech368  4 года назад +1

      Yeah it's an extremely satisfying keyboard to use. The volume wheel is too good. One of my favourite features. I'm glad you mentioned the light leaking as I was looking at another RGB keyboard recently and it just looked odd but I couldn't put my finger on it but it was definitely this. Having no light leak just makes it a cleaner keyboard like they haven't just whacked RGB lights under the keys.

      @@mpenntech368 I just got this as well.. I have owned some hyper-expensive mechanicals and this is by far my favorite of them. its the most comfortable to use and I am typing significantly faster. I know people cry about MicroUSB and the fact the keys are ABS but honestly I dont care. I can move this between my work and home PC workstations easily and effortlessly.

    • @krisreddish3066
      @krisreddish3066 3 года назад

      That sweet LogitechRGB feature comes at a really high price. It is not that you cannot put PBT caps on it, you cannot put any caps on it. Not even the older ones from Romer-G meanwhile the only reason they do that is for LED passthrough, and LEDs are not worth all that mess as they will burn out over time and them ABS caps will fade or break knowing Logitech, at that price, I am not trying to buy a temporary keyboard that looks like trash in a few years with electrical tape caps to replace a super-thin ABS cap that broke, and they look so easy to break when pulled off.

    • @vladasss
      @vladasss 2 года назад

      @@krisreddish3066 LEDs don't burn out lol. But this keyboard is trash. It does have lots of problems.
      After 1.5-2 years of use I started to get doubles and triple keypresses when I press just once. Logitech said this is unique problem but offered replacement immeditely. So they aware of this huge problem and they are just lying.
      Did I mentioned that g-hub software is complete garbage?
      This was last product from logitech for me. Low quality stuff for premium price, and worst tech support ever.

    • @krisreddish3066
      @krisreddish3066 2 года назад +1

      @@vladasss Mine is sitting on a closet now, perhaps one day I will fix it. I have some soldering skill and it is just a keyboard. Fixed a few older ones, soldered a few boards. Just taking the corsair beast apart means desolder everything right off the go. May as well put better stuff in its place. But the IQUE makes me want to say "nope". I lost several LEDS over the course of a few years, and by burn out, ya they can. The specific weak point is the bonding wires. The LED will die if the bonding wires break, and they are so tiny, it is only a matter of time.

    And the only one so far to mention you can only pair one Bluetooth device...shocking! Especially because the MX keys can be paired with 3 devices. I’m thinking to get the new white version: there’s so little choices for a white wireless low profile mechanical keyboard

      Agree. I got a G915 White Tactile. I use it mostly for typing and it is simply perfect for me, low profile mechanical with short travel - lovely! Been using a lot of TKL mech keyboards: Novatouch TKL w/Topre, several Cherry MX Brown equipped TKL and MS SideWinder TKL w/detacable NumPad. Sidewinder comes close to G915 but not as precise.
      Argh - G915 is also very expensive but I guess I have to buy one more so I can use it both at work and at home - that's how nice it is!

    Hey! I have seen a lot of people complain about the keycap instability on this keyboard. Some people have also complained about the keycap legs breaking. Have the keycaps impacted your experience in a negative way? What do you suggest? By the way, I really appreciate you speaking from the developer's perspective. I am a programmer myself and most reviewers are just talking about gaming, gaming, and gaming all the time. :)

      Cheers for the comment. Glad you liked the video. Personally I haven't had any issues with the key caps. Been using it for a few months now every week day and no problems. You should check what warranty length you get in your region as I would expect that to be covered.

      @@tarunpaparaju5382 I think even they are a bit overpriced. Just when you test them, have a listen to the stabilizers. You can get a few others that function the same. Not saying this would be the keyboard but for example, outside the metal bottom case and the slide LEDS, the GMMK is the same as them, The base for the alt is 200$, the base for the GMMK is 64$ I think. To be fair with the same exact main features of both you can find a few on Amazon and tons on like Alibaba even cheaper. Same features, different aesthetics but basically the same keyboard, with the same software controls that folks use for DIY builds. The CTRL and ALT are smexy but is that aesthetics worth the price to you?

    Usb type c requires different internals and would probably take up more space. You never use this thing wired so the only benefit would be faster charging and charging compatibility convenience. Seeing how they assume you’re going to charge this thing like only once every 2 months, they probably left out usb type c to cut costs of an already expensive keyboard. But I usually charge over night anyways, so the charging speed isn’t really a huge deal. If I had to charge it often it would bother me, but to keep costs down for something I charge once every 1-2 months, I don’t mind

    I didn’t realise that as a left handed person my experience about keyboard is completely different ; I don’t use the number pad AT ALL, too far but the thing is that it doesn’t bother me because it’s at the opposite of my mouse. Second, that volume wheel would be really far for me and so I would barely use it. The thing is that I also use an apple keyboard and that’s the reason I’m looking for low profile to switch to mechanical but (and I’m mostly a gamer, I still type a lot though) I’m lost on the switches as the noise is something I hate an that I’m used to super small keys with apple. Looks like an amazing keyboard. Might even be worth the price. Except... the damn text on the numbers , with the shift characters BELOW the number. Why do companies do that? It's not as bad as side-by-side. And it's definitely not as bad as some keycaps having the special characters (on the right-side of the letters) upside down. WTH!

  • @CasualXCars

    Not the best... not by a long shot...
    If one takes the keyboard and shakes it, there is way too much of rattling noise... so gaming wise, be ready to claim the warranty within first two years. No issue, Logi will send you a replacement no questions asked... but that fulfills your warranty...
    Not hot-swappable, no satisfaction in typing, and also not as comfortable as one would expect. I bought mine... returned it after 3 days.
    I was a Logitech Keyboard K740 user for the past 10 years, and that was my go to keyboard for anything... but gaming did wear off those main gaming keys (AWSD, left Shift, etc.) and once the keycaps were tooo wobbly I had to replace it. Membrane keyboard however is a thing of past for me... I opted getting a custom keyboard with brown switches which offered doing additional mods like sarbothane insulation that made my keyboard such an amazing keyboard to type on... I did loose about 10 WPM while I am adjusting to the new shape of the keyboard, but have to say - keep your money, do not get this TKL 915...
    If you want to stay with Logitech I would recommend getting Logitech MX Mechanical Mini... OR ... full size... those remain to be low profile and are much better build quality. If you are still looking for gaming, pass it... get a custom keyboard that allows switches and key caps to be replaced so you do not have to change you keyboard ummm well never lol ...

      Do you think Tactil or Clicky is better?

    • @antoninjacob2232
      @antoninjacob2232 3 года назад +1

      @@eirikengevik9826 I would have liked to try browns switches. My previous keyboard had blue switches (so clickly) and it makes a lot of noise. I am a bit more used to red switches now but still make some mistakes. What annoys me is the lack of feedback when you press the key, browns are still silent but have some feedback. I loved clickly for this but they are very noisy, and I bought this keyboard to avoid annoyance with people arround me.
      So it all depends on what you need. If you type a lot, and are alone in your room, clickly might work the best for you!

      You said your usual favorite keyboard was the Apple keyboard and I’m the same. I’d love to find a keyboard with a similar PC layout as the G915 TKL but a slim form factor like the Apple keyboard. (But keeping gamer-y features like NKRO. And wired functionality.) If you find something like that, I’d watch that review!

    Can't believe all this excitement about a "new" keyboard that's just like an old keyboard except a bit smaller. It's not even very good plus you'll need to use it with that garbage G-Hub software.

    • @Cons2911
      @Cons2911 4 года назад +1

      ThewayICit i heard the software is a pain for some people which is unfortunate. But the keyboard itself i think is pretty good but with some issues.
      Like the keycaps i think is not that durable. To me, the main thing here is it being low profile and wireless. Wish it it more durable though, esp the keycaps are not easy to find

    • @mpenntech368
      @mpenntech368  4 года назад

      I've only used it briefly on my Mac and it seemed to work well. Did everything it advertised. Can't speak on the durability yet as I haven't had it too long but so far no issues. I understand it's not going to be to everyones taste though... personally I didn't think I would like it that much until I tried it myself.

    • @Cons2911
      @Cons2911 4 года назад

      MPenn Tech i tried the 815 (which is similar in looks and form factor), I’m assuming the keys and switch are similar and i think the typing exp is pretty solid,i like it a lot. I like it enough to pay for it, wish the keycaps are available to be purchased easily

    1:30 There is no 16.8 million colors in this LED's. Don't repeat this marketing bs.
    I can't even make G logo white color without violet tint - i.imgur.com/3CtUiTK.png because this keyboard has some cheap low quality LEDs. Also if you make all keys white and dim them to really low brightness you will have pink tint on all of them.
    Really wish there were just 128 pure colors without this pinkish\bluish tints and marketing bullshit about millions of colors.
    Also, linear switches in this keyboard tend to break after 1-2 years of use. I have this keyboard and I have this problem with repeating keys right now where you for example press R key once and get three RRR instead.
    Pretty low quality product for premium price.
