@@NigelBarros did you test out the lidar in photo mode? And doesnt the lumix cameras have native support for dji lidar, making the extra bulk of the grip redundant?
Wow Nigel what a great Presentation of this incredible gear for myself it will be a great investment since I own a few vintage Lens definitely worth the price again great Review keep up the Good work Nigel
I like your review. Please do some tests with fog. I wonder how well the lidar works if there is a raze around the subject (which is a normal thing on filmmaking). Thanks,
Hey Nigel, great info mate. Seems like the lidar can’t keep up with fast moving sports moving towards/away from the camera. What sensitivity did you have the motor set to and what are your thoughts on this?
Hi Nigel, just few question here coz currently im using pdmovie smart mini lidar autofocus, the question is, does dji lidar works with native lens such as leica 12-60, 12-35 or 25mm 1.7? if yes how you setup the auto focus or any camera adjustment?
This is definitely an interesting piece of gear. I think the price can be a bit off-putting, but I definitely think the idea is awesome and there may be a purchase of mine in the future with this when I get some anamorphic lenses.
Does Focus Pro system work with the native autofocus lenses without the focus motor? Can I simply add it to gh5 with Panasonic lens and get precise autofocus ?
This'll actually be quite helpful with my set up, I got a Sony a500, with a TT artisan manual lens, and even if I don't get the lidar, the wireless focusing is great
actually it's not traditional hard-stops for A/B points, operator can still turn over the knob, especially useful when the subject doesn't hit the mark or moving back and forth subtlely.
this is some great tech, glad its finally not tied to the gimbal only. Still almost as expensive as the gimbal setup though ☹ lol Fortunately I dont mind manual focus but this could be awesome for the vintage lenses, especially if vlogging or filming some on the go stuff 👏
Looks fantastic; I’ve been desperately trying to get my hands on one for a shoot I have next week, but both B&H and Adorama said it won’t be available for like another two weeks. Oh well 🙃
Out of all the DJI Focus Pro videos I've watched this is the first one that actually shows how to put it on your camera, thank you ! Great video 👌
DJI sponsorships let's go!
Congratulations on the sponsorship and good job on the review and presentation. Keep up the good work Nigel

Yeah nigel! Dji is smart to reach out to you for sponsorship. Great talent! ( long term follower here :))
I appreciate that a lot, this was definitely a products I was eager to try!

This one is terrific bro 😲 congratulations on the sponsorship btw!

Awesome review!!
Can you also test it in bright sunny environments. I want to know if the Lidar will be effected by it or is it still extremely viable
Epic dude. I reckon I’ll get this for my vintage OM glass. Battery life sounds tricky at 2.4 hrs but with a second battery 🎉
How are you powering the lidar, and the side handle? really amazing demonstration btw!
The Lidar and motor are powered by the grip!
Beautiful information, Thanks!
I have a question - Does this setup work on ZOOM lenses that are non cinema ? Like for example the Canon 24-105 ?
Great vidieo ! One test no one has done is in a crowd . With low light like a concert or at church. Where I would most likely use it .

Nice Video, also the quality and the color is amazing!!!

Amazing sound design on this one. Constantly inspired by your work.
I appreciate that!
Is it adaptable to vintage 135 SLR Nikon F or Canon FD lenses on DSLR or custom cinema?
What's the difference between this system and the lidar system that has been available for a couple of years with the RS3 Pro?
Gosh the cinema lens in darker scenes is what I need!

Seems like a great system 👀
I have just one question, does the Lidar system need to communicate with the camera?
It would be such a great combo with the new BMD PYXIS wow!
What about Ursa 12k Cine? :D This is the dream combo!!
Can I keep the handle connected from dtap to usb for the battery to last longer?
so good ! What adapter do you use for vintage lenses?
I converted m42 lenses to EF then used a K&F EF to L mount adapter

That is just awesome Love it Nigel

How about lumix lens? We dont need a focus motor?
how good is it with lots of light?
Hey brother, so good man 👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks! always appreciate you checking out my videos!
Great video... im just thinking about getting this for my Canon FD on my C70 rig :D looks awesome in the video.
Another fantastic review.
Thanks, man
Will this work for photography
Any idea if it has the same Lumix native lens compatibility as the previous model?
Would this work on a lens without hard focus stops? Like a modern canon stills for example?
Nice to see, would likely be massive to use with diy anamorphic lenses (lvintage lens + anamorphic lens + single focus solution)
Does the lidar autofocus work with photography lenses like sigma 24-70mm f2.8?
I think if the lens has linear focus it will work, focus by wire lenses won't really work
Is that the gh6 your using ?
been trying to get this but its been sold out for a bit
I would love to see a comparison with the PD Movie lidar system.
Hi,Nigel would it fit GH5 I ?
This Focus Pro is almost as amazing as Nigel's hairline
Are there any cons?

Is it compatible with all Canon EF''s?
this can work with essentially any lens, but I think they have to have linear focus rings not focus by wire lenses
That's a miracle
I have to get me one for my irixlens
Took me a few minutes to realize the rider was a young person and not an old man. I thought Grandpa was getting busy with the jumps! 😭😭
DJI sponsored! Yes my man!! 👏👏👏
In other words. Cinema menses can have autofocus now😌😊
Very cool

If you lived near me I'd help you out haha
@@NigelBarros I'm by Northwest Heights if that's close enough for you lol
Been training my manual focusing skills for years just by using my hands and now new tech is throwing all those years out the window lol. Cool set up!
what's cool is you can just press a button and get manual focus right on the grip which i love!
@@NigelBarros huuuge help for solo operators or with just one extra person. Thank you for putting this together!
shot at 1:25 is soft
I was prolly using the manual focus wheel for that
Any lens that is not a Photo or lens without hard stops.
Great product but so expensive :/
this the type of thing people who dont know how to edit they own videos would buy
