Had one for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. With kids its not always practical to leave the house for a run unless they are at school. With Zwift, it's fun. Price is relative im on my bike and treadmill more than I am in my car and my car definitely cost more than 5K.
I think this will truly change the game for treadmills. The run free mode solves my biggest complaint with treadmills in that they don’t require you to practice pacing and showing your speed as a pace is something that should’ve been done from the very first treadmill to exist. It has never made sense to set speeds using mph/km/h for running. Having said that, this needs to be about half the price for me to consider it. I get they can set the price wherever they want as they are the only one on the market with that technology, so hopefully those features are picked up by other companies and competition can bring everyone back down to earth. I love that it is minimalist and doesn’t have a big screen that I’m never going to use, but $5k without that is wild. Make a version with a giant screen for classes for people who are into that and charge $4k and keep this minimal version and drop it to $2.5k and then we can talk.
Geeked out on the paper specs of this. Glad to hear it met or even exceeded expectations. I don’t really have the space for it otherwise I’d be really tempted!
This looks amazing but I could in no way justify spending that much on a treadmill. However, it seems almost like a proof of concept to show what a treadmill really could be. Think of the smart bike trainer world before Wahoo versus now. There are amazing trainers for a few hundred dollars. I doubt treadmills will get that cheap, but the price will come down over the next few years. And since this is bring your own device and service it's very shareable. Split the cost with a few friends, assuming you have a convenient place to put it, and the cost doesn't seem as high.
Surprised they limited the decline to 3%, could have stolen a few from the incline and allowed for better mimicking certain courses like Boston or CIM. Think of the marketing benefit running a completely virtual Boston course from your basement/garage. Cost is obviously prohibitive, but assuming this will comedown over time or when other companies release similar treadmills.
I get it, but for those of us living in the long dark cold winter months, it's a good option. But I don't have deep enough pockets for this thing, nor space for it, so it'll be treadmill in the gym and my Zwift Ride for crosstraining.
I feel like all manufacturers of all products are absolutely insane lately. Imagine charging $5k for a treadmill that you need your own device to fully utilize the features. $70k for a light duty pickup truck. $10 for a pine 2x4. Goodness, it’s gotta bust.
This can join the list of things I won’t be buying!
Surely you want two for the masion 😅

A reasonably priced treadmill for more average runners might be a better video. This price is crazy.

*stops watching as soon as I see the price 🙄😯
Not even an expensive treadmill. It’s like middle of the road for a high quality treadmill. Woodways are more than double
In the world of premium treadmills this is cheap. Have you seen the price on woodway or technogym slatted treadmills?
I would love to know what it actually cost to build.

For that price range, the Peloton Tread+ seems like a smarter choice and has slats vs a belt for a much good'er running experience.
£5k - instantly lost me
Does it connect with Garmin connect? Or connect to your watch?
Cool treadmill. Do you have $5K I can borrow? 😁
Of leasing was an option, I would consider that

Dunno. Just think if I'm indoors I want to be doing something other than running, given that I have the entire outdoors for that

Didn’t show it running Zwift
I was using Zwift on my phone, so couldn't show that as I also used the phone to film any cutaways
This could be interesting….
*Sees price*
For someone else with a lot more money than me to buy.
for such high price we deserve at least some tablet or anything
