Its not really that, the one thing he's good at which is offense sucks (he's shooting 37% from the field with 50% TS) and the Celtics need a big man desperately thus the hate.

The celtics shouldve just built around Jayson, brown and smart and just work around there bench/depth.
But they instead try to make a super team by keeping Hayward and signing Kemba.
If they just simply traded kemba and Hayward for a great bench they probably would've went to the finals already if not last year.
And I'm a heat fan
They would still need a serviceable PG and Kemba is filling that role just fine. They just need to mesh better

On paper it looked good but at the time, I was saying having both him and Embiid on the floor takes away too much spacing and you already have Ben Simmons out there so it just didn't fit well and that was the case. That's why I thought Tobias Harris was more of a fit at the 4 and it seems to be working for them now this year, especially with the shooters they have now.

To be fair: Exum was used in the Jarret Allen trade and the Cavs backcourt is already stacked for the future and Allen has been playing great and Is the clear future in the front court

In debates about which players are better than others all time people often use rings as a point in itself, but I think that rings are only valuable as evidence (meaning they prove something about the player instead of just being a statement with no context)
Good pts. I like the contrast of Kemba vs Rozier. The main diff is not just on the numbers but Rozier is a bigger, stronger & much much better defensive player than Kemba while he is a slightly better playmaker than score first Kemba. In hindsight, his fit is way better than Kemba & he's a lot cheaper. However, the fallout towards the end (partly triggered by greedy Rozier) pushed Ainge into panic mode & tried to use cap space to get hope & sell tickets & merchandise thru signing of Kemba. If a healthy Rozier is with Celtics LY instead of Kemba, they actually might hv beaten the Heat & went to the finals already.

I remember looking back at kyrie in boston, and people were pointing out things out like "kyrie may be getting his points but the team as a whole isn't good. I lot of my friends and college mates were saying that. However, now even with a more developed Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, they are the 10th seed in the East.
I know Kyrie wasn't amazing in the playoffs for Boston and obviously his time there was controversial and seemingly toxic...but. The Celtics have some core problems that go beyond Kyrie or Kemba. They just aren't the team that really rises to their pre-season expectations these past few years.
It doesn't exactly help that basically people have figured out how to beat Boston by abusing Kemba and essentially getting into Boston's paint with ease. That first year with Kemba was pretty good, but he got exposed in the playoffs and the lack of olayoff experience did not help him. Not its a major set back for Boston to getting to their next step. It seems like Terry Rozier is a very missed player on that team because he is a good offensive player and a pretty good defender for his size and position.

Idk if you'll read this but im diehard cavs fan even through 2010-2014 and the last 3 years. Clarkson trade didn't bother me at all. He wasn't playing as good as he is right now. When your rebuilding a team you tend to view the older guys as just assets while you watch the young guys grow. And when you take it into the context of we got larry nance jr in the same trade who is arguably our best brightest up and coming star before we stole allen from the nets, he was a net zero asset so we got 2 2nd round picks and another bad contract for a bad contract older guy who wasn't shooting insane here like he is now. it makes sense for the cavs and I still like the deal in the end

Jordan Clarkson trade seems to me like a little bit of a stretch. We did trade him for what we did, however I believe you have to get what you can especially from a player who was bound to leave eventually as he didn’t even want to be there. I was just glad to get two picks and take a chance on Exum. We got some value back. Things like this happen. We can look at players like Andre Drummond who all the big name teams want to be bought out as a primary example. He got shipped off from Detroit for a 2nd, Henson, and Brandon Knight. It happens, but at the end of the day at-least we get something out of a mediocre or bad situation. It is what it is
