Hmm I think the only reason that why sonarian creatures is massive because of their oxygen the oxygen in cos probably 4x bigger than the oxygen that we have on earth like in the Mezosoic era we can see all the animals that so huge like mammoth and paraceratherium so that might be explain why sonarian creatures are massive
That’s not the reason. The reason is cuz cos is a fantasy game. From a scientific point of view, the increase in oxygen levels would not necessarily mean that an animal would be larger. A larger creature would have a smaller surface area to volume ratio, therefore being unable to shed enough heat in the scenario that the creature overheats. This would be quite common as moving so much mass would generate a lot a lot of heat. Not only that but the sheer size of some of the bigger size would mean that they would crush themselves. There are a lot more factors that determines the maximum size limit of a creature. But it’s just a fantasy game so who cares. (All the factors I just mentioned only applies to environments we have on earth. Gravity, global temperature etc. any changes could mean that the limit would change.)
Plus mammonths and paracetherium hadn’t evolved yet during the Mesozoic. They live in the Cenozoic 😭. Plus the reason paracetherium and mammonths even got so huge was because during the time they lived, the atmosphere was significantly cooler than today, and there was a more abundance of food available, therefore leading to their gigantism
The gravity would also be 3-4x lower than earths gravity. Otherwise, all the creatures would collapse under their own weight. This would also explain how Jeff can jump so high.

Sometimes in the car, I used to imagine these shady people that capture baby creatures from the Sonaria Planet in a giant truck, and the parents of the babies would tear down the town trying to get to their baby.

Yeah when I realized how big Nolumoth was, my love for it became even bigger, my favourite radioactive (NOT NOW, BECAUSE THE DEVS REPLACED THE RADIATION WITH POISON INSTEAD) flying menace is bigger than I thought! which makes it look/feel cooler in my opinion.
Tbh I thought canonically all the super behemoths were like Godzilla size but seeing Cal being like 147 ft tall is wild while Godzilla is 393 ft tall. This shows how fucking huge Godzilla and other huge fictional creatures actually are ☠️
I heard Godzilla gets taller because it need to be bigger in comparison to movies , so to find out Godzilla’s height you would have to collect info from every Godzilla ( or the most current one , or the first one , or the mode )

This is actually the best CoS creature scale/sizes video i've ever found. I've always wondered how big or small Kavouradis, Korathos, Caldonterrus or Boreal Warden would be compared to Legendary Godzilla 2024.

However, they’re extremely light, the korathos is only 25 tons, a tank is 40-70+ tons depending on which country. They would be scary, til the military got involved.
Finally someone makes this video on the size. First time I played a Jeff it was crazy how small he was
I agree I play mostly Tier 1 or Tier 2 creatures and when I look at the concept art there almost always bigger then a human.
Finally, I needed to see a size comparison.
These creatures are huge but straight up light weights
An opra is 2x a blue whales size, but only weighs 10 tons at elder

IRL, puffwump would definetly prey on humans if desperate enough, and it probably wouldnt even kill them before it begins eating them, assuming it has the same hunting strategy as real dromeasaurs (that means raptors)
Fun fact: alkaksu (the smallest creature) is not sized for example a cat. ITS SIZE IS LIKE FRIKIN GERMAN SHEPHERD
i really hope the trees and plants get down-scaled to real life some day, and climbable large trees such as redwood should be more detailed, that way the players will no longer feel small
when i realized how big the aueko was (it’s one of my mains) i originally thought of it as a gecko but now i see it as a silly toothless crocodile 😭

If we said that Jeff is 6 feet tall (6'0 ft = 180 cm / 1,8 m) and then compare it to the Boreal Warden, which is said to be 75 meters tall (75 m = 246 ft), we get a 240 ft height difference. That's kind of crazy to think abt tbh.
So basically its around the size of monsterverse kaijus?
@@nakaigsomewhat, but they’re dwarfed in weight, Godzilla is 99,000 tons. The heaviest creatures (Boreal, kora, Taka etc) are only 25 tons..

@@nakaig eh not really, their weight might be because gravity would be too strong for them to be dense, so all the creatures may be like birds and have hollow bones.
They are monsterverse kaiju size but lack in weight, I guess it makes sense realistically. Creatures were much heavier before recode like gram was 120k pounds heavy.

I do and I think in legacy it shows the creature compared to a human but there’s also Jeff in recode and I would expect for example a beezu (I’m bias because of the but wiggle) would be like at waist hieght

Tbh, in Legacy we were able to FEEL the size, not just SEE the size.

@@FishDino1310 Recode map is bigger, it's fact. But it's big because everything is. Like trees and mountains. Plus Legacy has screen shake and atmosphere, where you can hear the wind, as you are going up.
Im quite late, but i always realized uow huge these are, like imagine youre taking. Ashit and suddenyl you hear a loud roar and see a big aliej thingy coming towards your house slower then a snail

HEAR ME OUT, Okay?, Since the tier 1's grow extremely fast and are kind of edible looking.. we should farm them but keep the minawii's as horses, anis as doctors, Nimoonas as little speed companions, the eulopii could maybe be eaten like a bulbasaur, the Rukig as a marketable plush, and many others that could maybe be a great part of humanity or the femur breakers for us.

Puffwump is perfect mix of size between jurassic park raptor and irl raptor. But fluffy.
Eigion warden is 2/3 the size of a mountain, and the length of a massive town, around 285-350 feet long on average (estimate)
i noticed when cald is eatting it goes upward and is tall as boreal they have it kinda ducking and not standeing up stright
If we take the size of the behemoths into account, imagine the size of the landmasses that these creatures constantly tread on
I want to see how big a Cimmid is, imagine a stick bug the size of a large cow
For being this big the creatures are very and i mean VERY light weight. For exampel the species ghartokus is much longer and taller then the t rex of our world, then if we look in weight the ghart is around 20250 lbs which is around 10 tons, the t rex would also weigh around 10 tons with some very large ones being 12 tons(if we want to look at the biggest a rex could possibly get it would be 15 tons but it is only speculative) making rex and ghart the same size (size is mesured with volyum which means weight). Now lets look at cal, it is 42000 lbs which is only 20 tons making it a lot smaller then a whale(200 000-300 000 lbs which is around 200 tons on the large estimates), sauropod(long necked dinosaurs with the largest(argentinosaurus) being 140 000-200 000 lbs/ 70-100 tons) and the statue of liberty(225 tons/ 450 000 lbs).
It would aslo make the "heavy" gyrodus about 3 tons which means that some species of rhino that live today as heavy as a gyrodus. The old weights for the species made a lot more sense
Jeff is NOT the size of an average human, look at jeff’s in game, confirmed weight. Am pretty sure its around 600 pounds right? Now, jeff does not look obese, nor does he look very muscular. He looks normal. Which means he has to be very tall to weigh that much. Which means the average human is even smaller than jeff is.
