  • On a beautiful late summer afternoon, Reading & Northern 4-8-4 #2102 thunders through Nesquehoning on the return trip to Reading's Outer Station. After topping the grade at Hometown, the train passes a '38 Ford at Zehners. The locomotive then accelerates back to speed after the station stop at Port Clinton, passes through Leesport, and finally marches into the station at North Reading.
This video will be part of a longer DVD/Blu-ray/Streaming video available later this year.

Awesome video, I had went to Tamaqua and saw it there on the return. I unfortunately missed it when it was heading to Jim Thorpe. Are you gonna be chasing the May 25th rambles? Because I’ll be going to Tamaqua again to catch it going to Jim Thorpe, and I’ll be getting there around 10:20am. 2102 should be there around between 10:40-10:50am I believe.

I have a hypothetical question. What would happen if a diesel passenger train like the RDC's lost their brakes heading south before arriving at Reading Outer Station? About a half mile south is the NS ex-Reading line at Belt Jct. What would they do in such a situation?

Good choice of locations. How in the world did you beat the train from under the bridge at Port Clinton to Lees Port?
